As of right now the working plan is to have Eddie Guerrero defend the WWE Title against Bradshaw once again, as the main event of June's Smackdown-only PPV, The Great American Bash. There have been no plans to add an additional wrestler into the mix to make it more interesting, or add any type of gimmick, so right now it is just set to be a one-on-one match. There has been a lot of thought backstage that the Smackdown brand really dropped the ball with Judgment Day and potentially Great American Bash.
Well it looks as the terrible plans of SmackDown are not going to change. JBL main eventing two pay per views! This spells more death for the SmackDown Brand. Vince McMahon will never learn...
This sucks, they could at least stick them in a cage. This is really bad when over on Raw we are goin to get Triple H vs. Shawn Micheals in HIAC as the headline to Bad Blood and the best Smackdown can produce is JBL vs Eddie Geurrero II, hopefully they will change their minds once the JD buyrate comes through.

It didn't matter who win or if it was a draw at JD I thought they were going to have JBL and Eddie anyway. And I think the reason for the rematch is for JBL to win and piss off most of the fans.

i think it should be a good no disqualification match because the last one that they had at Judgment Day ended in DQ so just take that rule off and then we will have a clean winner.

PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!!! Okay now that I have that out of my system I will continue. JBL v. Eddie Guerrero rematch IMO should take place on a Smackdown tv show. This could leave an opening for another fued to start between the champ after that match (which hopefully would be Eddie) and to have a different match at the Great American Bash. Also, I agree that either a cage match or a no-dq match would be better than part 2 of JBL v Eddie. (Sidenote: Go Eddie!!)

A one on one match up, i thought they would of given it a gimmick match the way it ended at Judgement day. It would of been better IMO.

I don't think JBL will win, Eddie is going to win again IMO.
JBL better not win, that would mean he would be in at least 1 more PPV main event
I can't bare the thought of it, so i'm goint o vent my frustration through smileys

May I be the first (and probably the last) to say - leave JBL alone. I know this may sound mad but after Judgement Day I was impressed. Bradshaw pulled out one hell of a match, lasted longer than any of his previous 50 matches and made for a great title match. I believe the main problem is that JBL has been pushed from nowhere - with a six month build up and a US title reign he may have been less criticised but can I just point out that the whole point of this is for fans to hate JBL. Isn't it working??

I think the JBL gimmick is the best thing that has came out of Smackdown in a while and he's over well over, but another feud with Guerrero doesn't make any sense and it won't help any. But something has to come of this and for that reason, I predict John "Bradshaw" Layfield will win the WWE Championship at the G.A.B.

I hope to god not. If he does, it will spell the end for WWE. Well, atleast for Smackdown anyways. You think Smackdown's ratings are low now? Well wait til he wins the title, than they will drop even lower.

If he wins the title then he wins it. What can we do? JBL has been doing pretty well as a singles competitor and is actually over as a heel. For the match up i would of given this match up a decent enough gimmick to make it a little more interesting. Since the match up ended with a weapon being used.

I agree that Bradshaw has been decent as a singles competitor and he is a legit heel. However, although I personally have no problem with John Bradshaw Layfield being WWE champion, the ratings would plummet. And that is something that Vinnie K. must consider and realize that now isn't the time for a J.B.L. title reign. But as I said before, I expect Justin to win the title at the Great American Bash.

The thing I didn't realize is that there is a Raw (6/13) and a SD PPV (6/27) in June. That could be the reason for all of the rematches going into GAB. Raw then gets the month of July for Vengeance. I really don't think people will want to see most of the same matchups again for GAB and the buyrates will show that. I think this is a smart idea on the part of the WWE only because SD will need that off month to develop new programs (and completely remake the show) going into Summerslam. Visit my Reshuffling the deck thread. If I were the WWE, I would use that whole month to do things like this going into Summerslam so SD atleast looks like it is on equal footing with Raw. SD can be just as great as Raw only if the WWE would book it the right way and push each of the divisions twice as much to make up for the lack of superstars.
