Wow, Raw was a great show to see live! The Rock's apearence was awesome, and the tag team title match was great. After the show, Triple H ran his mouth until Benoit came out and made him tap to the crossface...huge "you tapped out" chants going on! Here is a cool pic of Kane I took:

Did I miss something or was Christian not at the show tonight? He wasn't there for Trish's match and I didn't see him in the battle royal.
Was the silence for Maven's entrance I heard (or didn't hear) watching on TV as deafening as it appeared?

yeah the rocks appearance was definectly a shock. i guess it was a last minute thing cause it would have been cool if he got involved in the battle royal. i was a bit dissapointed that jerrico didnt stay to the end but oh well i guess it was just a tease about him been in the title picture.

The Rock/Eugene/Coach segment will go down as one of the all-time great moments on Raw. It was just so damn good, and so damn funny. When Rock's music hit, I totally marked out because it was a surprise to me. And, Eugene saying HHH as his favorite wrestler was classic, and Rock played off it well.
Jericho not winning did bum me out, but I figure having two faces fighting for the title is not good. Kane winning was great to see. I figured HBK would get his revenge. I just wonder what they will do with Jericho now. Since Batista threw him out he may start a fued with him. Could be a real career booster for Dave.

Raw was great from top to bottom. Everything seemed to work and I am really excited about the Randy Orton/Shelton Benjamin feud. I think this will be the feud that not only establishes Orton as a future World Champion but also it will help Shelton Benjamin develop his character and establish him as a major player on the Raw brand. The only thing I didn't like was the racial comment Randy Orton made towards Benjamin. I really don't think that it has a place on wrestling. The WWE should shy away from statements like these because there are other ways to get superstars over. I will admit though, the two men did a good job playing off of it.
I really don't know what the WWE has in mind for the Raw tag division. If they were able to make a division comparable to 2000's, I really think that Raw would have absolutely no flaws.
I agree with you Chazz. That was one of the greatest segments of all time and the Rock truly showed that he is one of the greatest at getting superstars over. All of the people who say that the Rock abandoned the WWE should see all he has done. The man never hesitates to help someone get over and last night he did wonders for the Eugene gimmick. No matter what, Rock should always be a contracted WWE superstar because no one can do what he does better than him.
I give last night's show a 9.75 out of ten. The WWE has really put a lot of effort into saving the Raw brand and it surely is paying off. Now, only if they'd give the SD brand the same kind of attention. One or two superstars going to SD really can help save that show. The WWE should put Rhyno back on SD, make Heyman the manager of a heel stable with Booker T (or Rhyno), Charlie Haas, and the Dudley's, and make Shane McMahon the SD general manager. Those would be really good steps in the right direction of saving the sinking ship that is Smackdown. There I go again. :chuckles: BTW, am I the only one who misses the Rob Zombie music for Edge and that whole entrance with the flashing lights and all? I am not that into rock music but that sure did set the tone for his entrance and get the fans pumped up better than his old music they have him using now.

I miss the Rob Zombie song for Edge's entrance as well. I just don't care for the music he is using now (which is his old stuff).

Yeah, the Rob Zombie stuff was great.
As for the comment about Orton not needing to use racial comments in his feud with Shelton, after the cameras stopped rolling on the Battle Royal Triple H got a mic and started calling everyone "beaners" and that he would slap the burritos right out of our mouths if we didn't stop saying "You tapped out!". Benoit came out and made him tap again after that :)

How about Rock calling Coach a "Popcorn Fart"? That was freakin hilarious! And Eugene doing the "It doesn't matter what you think" line was pure gold.

Not sure who said it, but someone mentioned Christian. Christian is actually on the injured list right now. Tyson Tomko has taken his spot in house shows.
As for the popcorn fart......I was watching Raw with two friends of mine and they were talking when Rock said that. I said "popcorn fart?" and they looked at me and laughed like I was stupid. I later got my revenge when Rock said it again.
