That's right folks. It's time for everybody's favourite pink font writter to dish out another rant. Not only am I writing this because I'm not at all pleased with the state of the WWE, but I'm long overdue with a Shot.

That being said, I've got a few topics to get off my chest. I will be talking about the Cruiserweight Title and the current state of SmackDown!.

The Cruiserweight Title
As most of you already are aware, this past Thursday, Jacqueline became the new Cruiserweight Champion. Not only does this now effect Chavo's credibility as a wrestler but it also damages the reputation of the Cruiserweight Title. When Chavo issued the "Chavo vs The Wolrd" challenge, we could have seen some new cruiserweights, or even some current ones.

Think about it. On the current roster, the people who haven't faced Chavo are Billy Kidman, Paul London, Funaki, Akio, Scotty 2 Hotty, Shannon Moore, Spike. All these guys would be worthy opponents for the title.

Now, as for the people not currently on the WWE roster...we have Matt C. from TE3, Jeff Hardy, Kenzo Suzuki(the supposed Hirohito character), Hurricane, Tajiri, Jon H from TE3 or any of TNA's X-Division wrestlers. The WWE had a huge selection of wrestlers to choose from, but they chose Jackie?!?! What the hell is that about?? She wasn't on TV for months and all of a sudden she's shows up and wins the Cruiserweight Title? What the **** is that?

In one night, the WWE managed to destroy the reputations of the Cruiserweight Title and Chavo Guerrero.

Bravo WWE.

SmackDown!
SmackDown! has become WCW. Vince has seemed to have lost all interest in the show. When Bradshaw is the number 1 contender and Jacqueline is the Cruiserweight Champ, you KNOW that the show is going downhill. Ever since the roster trade, SmackDown! has been in the crapper.

The addition of Triple H could have spiced things up a bit, giving SmackDown! some much needed star power, but the WWE opted to keep him on Raw in exchange for 2 stale wrestlers and a stale tag team. The only good thing SD! has got going right now is Eddie Guerrero, John Cena and Undertaker....but Taker's never around because of nagging injuries.

Did you ever notice that good wrestlers (Benoit, Hardy, etc) jump to Raw but SD! always gets Raw's ****ty wrestlers? How can the WWE expect ratings to go up on SD! with the way the roster is now? Rather than injection SD! with new superstars, it needs to get some already established superstars from Raw to help boost ratings otherwise we'll soon be seeing the end of WCW...I mean SmackDown!.

You have just been given a Warning Shot! I'll be back later this week with another Complete Shot.

Send all comments to the_complete_shot@hotmail.com or simply reply to this thread.

Until next time,

You have just been Shot....how does it feel?

Hey Shua this was one great warning shot. I agree with all your points. SmackDown has become the next WCW. They are really falling downhill. John Bradshaw Layfield went from an extinct member of an old tag team, to a main event/ppv headliner in one week. They could have used Booker T for the opponent of Eddie. The feud would have been much more productive and enjoyable to watch. At least Booker T was a five time WCW champion and he has held the ball in the past.

The Cruiserweight/Jaqueline story is another bad one. She was off of television for so long, she appears on SmackDown and gets a victory over Chavo to become the next Cruiserweight champion. I agree with your point. There are so many cruiserweights out there that they chose Jacqueline.

I just hope that the WWE realize the mistake they have committed. They put SmackDown in a hole, and it will take quite alot of work to dig themselves out.

Great Column Shua :)

Thanks for your comments K-Dogg

I just hope that the WWE realize the mistake they have committed. The WWE never seems to learn from their mistakes. I don't think it will happen in either of these cases. Theoretically, if the WWE wanted to learn from past mistakes, they would've seen the effect having Jackie as the Cruiser champ had in the old WCW days. The WWE has never learned and probably never will.

Jacqueline the new Cruiserweight Champion? I think I've seen this storyline somewhere before ;).
Bradshaw is like a horse being sent to the slaughterhouse, he's old and boring and needs to be put out of his misery!!
I'm sure that Smackdown can get better, but it just isn't happening now when it shouldn't have these problems!! Screw Vince and his ****ed up mind!!

Seriously, who sat down and said "hmmm...Jacqueline as the cruiserweight champ...that should help the division"?

Someone actually got paid to make a decision like that....

Anyone would have made a better cruiserweight than Jacqueline. Ultimo Dragon could not get a title run but she can????

Vince better get his head out of his ass otherwise the NWA is going to take advantage of his mistakes when they get on Fox Sports Network sometime this year.
