A little Back-up

[Mr. Long]

The camera fades in on "The American Icon" Jesse Long driving his dark blue 1964 Mustang down the street, he turns in to the driveway of Mykall Adams' house, puts the car in park, and gets out. He goes up to the door and rings the doorbell.

(Mykall Adams opens the door)
Mykall: I don't time to buy any magazine subscriptions.

Jesse: I'm not here to sell subscriptions, I'm here to offer my services to you.

(Mykall looks shocked)
Mykall: Hey, I'm not that kinda guy.

(Mykall tries to close the door, but Jesse puts his foot in the way)
Jesse: Not those kinds of services, that's just gross. As you may know, I'm looking to make a name for myself in uCw. And I want to be in your corner at Innovation, to make sure that the match stays fair, and to make sure that Tumbling T doesn't get involved. And if he does, I will show him the true meaning of eXtreme, the true meaning of American, the true meaning of PAIN!!! So what do you say Mykall?

[Chazz]

Mykal takes a moment to look over Jesse. He seems to be intrigued by the young man's proposal and invites him into the house. Jesse comes in and he and Mykal sit down in the living room.

Mykal: Ya know, normally I would have just closed the door on you.

Jesse: Ummmm......you did try to close the door.

Mykal: Trust me. If I had chose not to listen to you then you would not be sitting here right now. Anyway, why do you want to help me? What is in this for you?

Mykal lays back on his sofa and stops Jesse before he can even get started.

Mykal: Don't answer that just yet. Let me explain some things to you. First, I like you. It takes some serious balls to come here and tell me man to man that you want to be in my corner. Why? Well, I haven't been in the right state of mind lately. I'm sure you can understand why. (Jesse nods yes) See, I tend to go about things on my own. I'm used to that because that is how it has always been. I have only a limited amount of true friends. But, I'm sure you are not looking to make a new friend in me. You said that you want to make a name for yourself. Well, you have that chance at Revolution when you meet Ava Bundy. Trust me when I say this. He is the likes of which you have never seen. This guy is undefeated, and there is a good reason he is. So, if you beat him, then you will put yourself on the map.

Jesse: I'm going to beat him.

Mykal: I think you can. But, he will take you to places you have never been before Jesse. The guy aint human.

Jesse: He's just a man.

Mykal: Is he? (Mykal leans in close towards Jesse) You think a man is capable of kidnapping helpless women? You think a man looks up to Gacy, Dahmer and Manson? You think a man can do the things Ava has done and still have a conscience? Trust me, Ava is more than you think.

Jesse: He has really gotten to you, hasn't he?

Mykal: (Sits back) In a way, he has. I have a hate for him that cannot be measured. Yet, at the same time, I also respect him. That may sound funny, but it is the truth. Now, about your proposal.

Mykal gets up and asks Jesse if he would like a beer. Jesse says yes and Mykal goes and gets two beers from the fridge. He and Jesse begin to drink as Mykal continues.

Mykal: Jesse. I'm going to level with you. I could use some help with my current situation. Not only do I have Ava to worry about, but I also have that wacko Tumbling T after me. So, I will say yes to your proposal. But now, I want to know the answers to the questions I asked you earlier.

Mykal sits down on the couch ans awaits Jesse's response.

[Mr. Long]

Jesse: First off, why I want to help you. I want to help you because one, I know Tumbling T is gonna try to interfere at Innovation, and I wanna make sure he doesn't. Two, I can't stand Ava Bundy and T running their mouths, and trying to disgrace you and those close to you. And third, I have the highest respect for you, wrestling's in your blood, as it is in mine. Now as for my opinion of Ava. You ask me if I think someone who has no conscience, kidnapps innocent women, and looks up to Gacy, Dahmer, and Manson is a man? Well, I may not know who Gacy & Dahmer are, but I do know one thing, Ava Bundy is less than a man. He seems to think that our match on the 12th will be an easy win for him, but trust me, it won't be. That dude is ****in' nuts! But you know what? I can be just as insane as he is. He likes to spell out things like "I BELEIVE" with fire, well the next thing he gonna be spelling out is "I LOST!"
