From the New Alhambra Sports and Entertainment Center, CZW Apocalypse took place in front of an enthused and hot wrestling crowd. Seen throughout the night was a fantastic ladder match, a stiff strong style first round matchup, a few twists in the card, and a few other nice surprises thrown into the mix to make for a fantastic night. With that said, here are the full results from CZW Apocalypse.
First to come to the ring after the CZW music blared was The Blackout. “Hacksaw Jim Thuggin” Robby Mireono tried to gain some crowd support by asking them to say “rocks” after he said Blackout, but instead of “rocks”, they replied “sucks” each time. Mireno got pissed and called out the Blackout’s opponents to the ring so this match could be over with already. CKNY, Cory Kastle and Niles Young, came to the ring to challenge the Blackout’s “Bam Bam Niggelow” Joker and “The Black Jesus” Sabian to a match (with “Trifesaurus Rex” Ruckus and Mireno at ringside.) After a lot of anger and frustration from the always-tense Blackout, Sabian and Young started this match up with some armbars and toss-overs. Joker, Sabian, and Mireno all had a little huddle on the floor, which allowed Young and Kastle to splash out onto them, giving them some big offense in the match. Young slid Sabian back in the ring hoping to end this match quickly, but he only got a two count. Sabian was quick to his feet and headlocked Niles Young into the corner where he made the swift tag to his partner, Joker. Joker continued the dominance in the corner, reddening his chest with some hard right-hand chops. Sabian then took the tag back into the match after some double team action in the corner, which only lasted for about a minute until Joker came back into the ring. Joker vertical suplexed Niles onto the mat, and held him down with his foot to his throat. Cory Kastle began to try to motivate his weakened partner, and as Joker tried a stomp from the top rope, the motivation worked because it caused him to move right in the niche of time, and Cory Kastle finally got the tag into the match. Kastle and Young began to take on both members now, and with Joker out of the ring, Young and Kastle tried to nail a huge double team suplex from the top rope. This happened to no avail as Mireno jumped on the apron and pushed Niles Young off. Niles Young went flying to the outside, and set up for a two on one for the Blackout as Joker slid back into the ring. Kastle was whipped into the corner and was hit directly in the face with a dropkick, and then was Joker-drivered in the middle of the ring!! Sabian jumped up on the top rope and hit a senton to finish off Kastle for the three count. Again, the Blackout proved to be victorious. After the match, Mireno got on the mic and asked how many people the Blackout had to beat to gain the respect that they deserve. He tried the chant again, but he got “Blackout sucks”.
Winners: Joker and Sabian in 13 minutes.
The next match must have been a joke match as Rick Feinburg attempted to take on the son of a thousand maniacs, Jon Dahmer. Dahmer came to the ring and told Feinburg that this was a joke and he was going to lay down and give Feinburg three seconds to beat him. It was obviously a trick as Dahmer kicked out at two and started to beat the living hell out of Rick Feinburg. Dahmer toured each guard rail with the body of Feinburg and chopped Feinburg’s chest until it was red. Dahmer slid Feinburg back into the ring and put him into the powerbomb position to finish him off, but Feinburg low-blowed Dahmer, which allowed him to get an advantage for about five minutes, vertical supplexing him, whipping him into the corner, and trying miraculously to get three counts (to no avail, of course). Finally, after being whipped against the ropes for the last time, Dahmer shot back with a huge clothesline that knocked Feinburg out. Still though, Feinburg fought back surprisingly, as he ****ily climbed to the top rope. Not looking, Dahmer crept up behind him as he was mounting the ropes and powerbombed him. He picked him back up and nailed his finisher for the three count.
Winner: Jon Dahmer, in four minutes.
Next to hit the ring, Dee Jay Hyde took on Jude. As this match begun, Dee Jay controlled Jude until the match spilled onto the ringside floor. From there, Jude worked over Dee Jay with a chair and hit him with a splash that knocked him into the floor. However, as the match was taken back into the ring, it did not take much for Dee Jay to take the match back. In no time, Jude was given a stiff sit out powerbomb which knocked him out. Dee Jay Hyde easily got the three count. After the match, the fans gave Jude a standing ovation for all the stiff moves he took.
Winner: Dee Jay Hyde in eight minutes.
The Blackout made their way back out to the ring for a singles match between Ruckus and Rebel’s Army, Derek Frazier. Before the match, Mireno tried to get the crowd to do his chant again, but again, the responded with “Blackout sucks”. You would think that Robby Mireno would get the idea that these fans hate what the Blackout stands for, thus, they are not going to support them. Regardless, he got pissed off again and called out Derek Frazier so this match could be soon over with, like the first match of the night was. To start the match, Frazier and Ruckus stared each other down, as this rivalry has been through a lot in the past. Ruckus and Frazier began pushing each other, as these two tempers flared. Ruckus tried to do a spring board against the ropes, but Frazier baseball slid into his face. This took the match onto the outside, where Frazier dominated Ruckus, despite the entire Blackout being at ringside, and none of Rebel’s Army. Joker and Sabian began to intervene however, which spelled out bad news for Derek Frazier. Joker and Sabian kept Frazier on the ground so that Ruckus could moonsault from the apron onto him. Ruckus tried for a pinfall back in the ring, but he only got a two. The crowd chanted “Murder One” at Robby Mireno, obviously to taunt him and make him angry. Back in the ring, Derek Frazier went up for what looked to be a hurricarana, but he locked on a tarantula on the ropes. Mireno jabbed the head of Derek Frazier, but he kept the move locked for another thirty seconds, before he turned it into as very nice submission on the floor (a slight resemblance of half of an STF). Ruckus tried to spring board against the ropes again, but this time, Frazier caught him as he was doing the hand-stand part of it, and he rapidly began to kick at the head of Ruckus. Ruckus bounced against the ropes again and this time, hit the springboard successfully, which allowed him to hit a razzle dazzle. Ruckus got a little ****y though and tried for a flipping van terminator across the ring, but Derek Frazier pulled up from it. Robby Mireno then got on the apron, which allowed Joker and Sabian to help out Ruckus. Frazier knocked Sabian off the apron, but Joker hit him with a hard shot, which allowed Ruckus to nail his underhook suplex finisher for the three count. After the match, Rebel came to the ring and apologized for not being there for Derek tonight. He called the Blackout to come into the ring and face him and Derek like men, rather then cowards. They did, and The Blackout got their asses handed to them, leaving a sour taste in their mouths as they walked to the back pissed off.
Winner: Ruckus in sixteen minutes.
The fifth match of this evening saw a technical match between Nick Berk and Emile Sicochi. Sicochi came to the ring with all smiles, as “Hey Ya” played in the arena. Nick Berk meant business though and worked him over with some armbars to start the match. Sicochi showed Berk up though, and took complete control of the match, nailing him with a few dropkicks, and a very nice splash onto Nick Berk (who was on the ringside floor). The match went back into the ring where Nick Berk hit a hard clothesline for a two count. Minutes later, Berk gave Sicochi a sit out powerbomb for a two count. This didn’t keep him down however, as the next move from his arsenal was a nice connecting standing senton to Nick Berk for a two count. Berk tried to keep him down by nailing him with a few stiff German suplexes, but Sicochi finally reversed him into a roll up for a two count. Then, Sicochi hit a moonsault from the top rope for another two count as the crowd got behind this newcomer. Sicochi got too ****y with Berk though, and tried for another top rope move. Berk caught him in mid-air and slammed him down, continuing to lock him into his finisher, the Texas Leglock. After the match, the crowd at hand welcomed the new star, applauding him with a standing ovation after his first match.
Winner: Nick Berk in seven minutes
The next match was a special four way match between Mafia, Alex Shelley, Roderick Strong, and B-Boy. B-Boy and Shelley started this one off by locking up in the middle of the ring. B-Boy and Shelley went back and forth with some quick action, and B-Boy thought he could take the advantage by nailing a shining wizard early, but Shelley moved right at the second where B-Boy was about to jump into the air. Shelley and B-Boy tug out, bringing in Mafia and Roderick Strong. Strong worked the big man over in the corner with some chops and jabs to the head. Mafia showed Strong what a chop was as was wailed away at Strong’s chest, at least ten times. In the corner, B-Boy pleaded with Mafia to tag him in, and after asking the crowd, he did, due to the overwhelming response in favor of B-Boy. B-Boy got into the ring immediately and sat Strong in the middle of the ring. B-Boy bounced against the ropes and hit Strong with a stiff dropkick to the face. Strong decided he had enough, as he tug back out to Alex Shelley. Shelley worked B-Boy over for about a minute, and tug Strong back into the match. Strong choked B-Boy in the corner with a boot to the throat. Strong then proceeded to whip B-Boy against the ropes and nail him with a stiff twisting backbreaker. Alex Shelley got the tag back in, where he nailed B-Boy with a surprising punch to the face for a two count. Shelley gave B-Boy a neckbreaker for a two count, and tug Roderick Strong back into the match. Strong and Shelley worked B-Boy over with a double team move, which caused Mafia and the crowd to get behind B-Boy to make a tag. He finally did, and Mafia came into the ring to wreak havoc. Mafia clotheslined both men over the top rope, and he called for a splash onto the floor. The crowd began to loudly “Maff” and as he bounced off the ropes, Shelley jumped onto the apron and gave him a stiff boot to the face. B-Boy quickly splashed out to the floor onto both men though, and then Maff got back up and did the same, evoking a nice “CZW” chant. Back in the ring, all four men began to fight and you could see that Kehner lost track of who were the legal men. Strong powerbombed B-Boy onto his knee, which evoked a “holy ****” from the crowd as he did the same to Shelley. The crowd began to chant “CZW” again as Roderick Strong worked over Mafia next. Out of the corner, as Strong worked over Mafia, B-Boy ran out and gave Strong a shining wizard to eliminate him. Mafia hit Shelley with a belly-to-back suplex, and as he tried to follow it up with a DVD, Shelley hit his finisher, the shell shock. The match was down to B-Boy and Alex Shelley. The two tired men fought back and forth, attempting a few pinfalls, however, only getting two counts. B-Boy hit Shelley with a diamond cutter, again, only getting a two count. B-Boy tried for his trademark dropkick in the corner, but Shelley moved, setting up for a variation of the M Bison, giving him a two count. B-Boy followed this up by wrapping his leg around the throat of Alex Shelley and locking him up for a tight submission, getting Shelley to tap out (after some very loud “tap” chants coming from the crowd.) The crowd gave B-Boy and Alex Shelley a huge standing ovation, but more so, for this excellent match that all four wrestled.
Winner: B-Boy in twenty minutes
Right as intermission was announced, Teddy Hart erupted the crowd by walking out to the ring. Hart got into the ring and began to talk on the mic, saying that he was only at 50% for his last matches in this company. Out of nowhere, Homicide came down to ring!!! He broke through security and this battle began. “The 187” tore the hell out of Teddy Hart, nailing him with stiff chair shots on the ringside floor. Hart tried to moonsault from the top rope onto Homicide on the floor, but Homicide moved and Hart only hit the CZW security. The crowd was very loud throughout, chanting “CZW”. Back in the ring, with three chairs, Homicide continued to punk out Hart, and Hart went back to the top for his moonsault, but Homicide knocked him out of the ring. Hart walked around the ring and finally after being chanted “*****”, he got on the mic and said that he wanted Homicide in a one on one at Best of the Best 4. Homicide wasn’t happy with this, and he called Teddy a little bitch, saying that both him and his uncle Bret are pussies. Homicide kept taunting Hart from the ring, telling him to bring it on, but Hart still stayed to the outside. Hart and Homicide continued to exchange words, and finally, Homicide accepted the match for Best of the Best as this rivalry brews on.
Coming back from the actual intermission, live feed came over the screen and The Messiah and Adam Flash began to beat the hell out of Ian Knoxx. Messiah set a table up in the middle of the ring, where Ian Knoxx was placed. The lights cut off, and Sabu ran down to the ring and got onto the top turnbuckle. Sabu gave Ian Knoxx a legdrop with a chair through the table, knocking him out. The Messiah then announced that John Zandig is not here tonight, due to his terrible condition. Messiah proceeded to make the rules for the match, saying that the main event tables match was an elimination match, if you go through a table, you are out. Messiah said that the future is theirs, and there is nothing no one can do about it.
The seventh match of the evening was the much anticipated ladder match between Chris Cash and GQ. With three ladders placed at ringside, this match began with some slow action. Cash threw GQ to the floor, and mocked him, saying that GQ actually thought he could beat him. Cash said some other negative words to GQ, which only seemed to rally up GQ as slid back into the ring with a short ladder. He threw the ladder into the ring at Cash, but Cash moved out of the way. GQ got back into the ring and backed into the corner, where he was almost caught with a flying ladder to the head (via an angry Chris Cash). Finally, some quick action began to take place, as Cash and GQ’s tempers flared. Finally, after about five minutes of action, a ladder was utilized as Cash legdropped GQ on a ladder from the top rope. Cash then brought a bigger ladder into the ring and began to climb it. This didn’t work too well because GQ pushed the ladder over, causing Cash to fall onto the ropes. GQ took some offense by German suplexing Cash onto the edge of the short ladder. GQ set up one of the bigger ladders in the corner, but Cash was ready for him behind him. Cash gave him a variation of the outsider’s edge onto the ladder in the corner. Cash then stuck GQ’s head between the top rungs of the shorter ladder, where he gave him a dropkick from the top rope. On the outside, Cash started to set up a chair concoction. Cash then got into the ring but GQ was ready for him. GQ put Cash onto the top and tried to suplex him to the outside, but Cash reversed him and vertical suplexed GQ onto the chairs on the floor to erupt the crowd a “holy ****” chant. Both men got back into the ring within a minute or so, where the battling continued. Cash put GQ onto the top rope this time, backwards, so that he was sitting and looking at the entrance. He stood him up and Cash proceeded to Cash Flow GQ from the top turnbuckle to the ring mat for a huge two count (and another “CZW” chant)! Cash then brought a chair into the ring and laid the biggest ladder over the chair and the second turnbuckle. He placed GQ on the ladder, but just as he was about to jump onto him from atop another tall ladder, he got off and helped GQ to his feet. He raised GQ’s hands and congratulated him for the match so far, asking the crowd to give him a hand. With a confused crowd, GQ turned around and nailed with a clothesline, and put him on the ladder instead. GQ then climbed the ladder and as he was nearing the top, Cash jumped off the ladder, climbed to where GQ was and gave GQ a huge belly-to-back suplex from the top of the ladder onto the ladder that was lying between the chair and the second turnbuckle. The crowd erupted into another “holy ****” chant as Cash got the three count to win this match. After the match, Cash helped GQ to his feet and raised his hand, as the crowd applauded both men for this match.
Winner: Chri$ Ca$h in sixteen minutes.
The next match was the Xtreme Strong Style match between Brad Bradley and BJ Whitmer. Throughout the duration of this match, Bradley and Whitmer exchanged a lot of ground submissions. After more leglocks and tight submissions, BJ Whitmer hit Brad Bradley with a stiff belly to back suplex for a two count. Bradley shot right back with a stiff German suplex for a two count. Bradley threw Whitmer into the corner and ran his boot into Whitmer’s throat. He tried it again, but Whitmer caught the foot, throwing him into the middle of the ring for a two count. Whitmer fought back with some more, nailing Brad Bradley with a stiff underhook suplex for a three count, advancing himself in the tournament.
Winner: BJ Whitmer in twelve minutes
The “Savior of CZW” came to the ring and said that this show just got a WHOLE lot better. He told the fans to prepare for the next four star match up. (Note: it’s only four stars supposedly because Hero’s five stars are negated by Rave’s negative one star, according to Hero.) Hero then called “The Captain of Charisma” Jimmy Rave down to the ring and said that he wants Rave to WRESTLE him, if he knows how, and then the fans will see who the better wrestler is. Hero showed off a lot toward the beginning of this match, which hurt him a lot early on. Rave controlled the match with headlocks and standing armbars. About five minutes into the match, B-Boy came out of the entrance and opened a chair directly in the middle of the entrance way. He told the fans to be quiet as he pointed to the ring signaling he wanted to “watch” this match. In the ring, Hero took some offense as he chopped Rave into the corner. Hero then began complaining again that Rave kept on pulling his hair. Eight or nine minutes into the match, Hero still had control as he taunted Rave more and more. Rave tried to fight back, and he did, with a few knees to the bent over Chris Hero. Hero then began to taunt Rave again, playing games with his head, but Rave would not stand for this. Rave gave Hero a swift kick below the belt, and followed it up with a hurricarana form the top turnbuckle. This didn’t keep Hero down for long, as he vertical suplexed Rave from the second turnbuckle. B-Boy looked really enthused as he sits down at the entrance (sarcasm). Rave was right back on his feet and as he attempted to hit Hero with some sweet chin music, Hero fell down and ducked it. Hero then sprung back to his feet, but Rave was ready, and followed up with another kick attempt, this time, catching his face and pinning Hero for a two count. Still, the match was at 0-0 with less than 10 minutes remaining. Rave picked Hero back up and throws him into an armbar in the middle of the ring, but Hero was able to crawl to the ropes to break the hold. Both men, wobbly, were back on their feet, and Hero nailed Rave with a nice piledriver for a two count. Hero couldn’t believe that Rave was still kicking out. Hero locked an STF onto Jimmy Rave, but Rave was able to crawl to the ropes as well. Hero tried another suplex, still only getting a two count from Jimmy Rave. Again, Hero picked up Rave and bodyslammed him in the middle of the ring, telling the crowd that that was it. He went to the second rope and tried for a moonsault, but he missed. Rave caught Hero with a surprise roll-up, but Hero and Rave rolled back and forth, but a three count was had! Hero rolled out of the ring and he looked shocked because he thought that the ref gave the roll up to Rave, when Hero really had it. Hero then got back in the ring but Rave continued to work him over with submissions. Suddenly, Hero left the ring and went to the back. Rave followed him back, and after a minute or so, the bell was rung and Dennis Shock announced that the new Ironman Champion was CHRIS HERO!
Winner and new Ironman Champion: Chris Hero, in twenty minutes
Finally, it was time for the main event of the evening as three tables were set up at ringside, with two others laying against the guard rails. With war waging everywhere in the ring and around it, this match started and remained wildly ultarviolent, with a plethora of chair usage from all men. Towards the beginning of the match, Adam Flash chokeslammed Nick Gage from the top rope through a chair concoction that was set up in the ring by Adam Flash. Sabu tried a moonsault onto Trent Acid, but Acid dodged it. Minutes later, Wifebeater was put onto the apron by Messiah. Then, The Messiah bounced against the ropes and did a rolling powerbomb on the Wifebeater onto the floor through a table. Wifebeater was eliminated, but so was The Messiah! Then, after Acid and Gage worked over Adam Flash in the middle of the ring, hitting him with a choker breaker and a leg drop from the top rope, Gage and Flash went through a table from the top turnbuckle, eliminating both men. This match was down to Trent Acid and Sabu rather quickly. Sabu worked Acid over on the outside, moonsaulting onto him. The match was taken back into the ring where Acid hit Sabu with a Yakuza Kick to the face. Acid then placed Sabu onto a table in the middle of the ring, where Nick Gage watched Acid climb to the top turnbuckle and attempt to win this match. Out of nowhere, The Messiah ran down to the ring, cracked Gage in the back of the head and jumped up onto the apron, knocking Acid off. Sabu and Messiah worked Acid over with double team moves. They finally set him upside down on the standing table in the corner, and Sabu set up a chair in the middle of the ring. Sabu went to the opposite corner and ran from that corner, jumped onto the chair, jumped off the chair into mid-air, giving Acid’s face a spinning heel kick through the table to gain a victory for his team.
Winners: Messiah, Adam Flash, and Sabu in 13 minutes
This looks like a solid show IMO. Be sure to check out 3 of these matches at clickwrestle.com within the next few days as they now show CZW's Fake You TV. I bet they'll have Ca$h vs GQ, Mafia vs Shelly vs Strong vs B-Boy, and Chris Hero vs Jimmy Rave. They'll alos more than likely have Homicide beating down Teddy Hart.
