ROH Newswire- The Latest News Updated All The Time
May 8th: The landscape of ROH continues to change as the #1 Contender's Trophy will be put on hiatus. It may comeback down the line. ROH made this move to put all the emphasis on the Top Five Rankings. It was important and prestigious before to make the Top Five. Now it's critical.
May 8th: The stipulation of the ROH Tag Team Title match on May 22nd pitting Champions CM Punk & Colt Cabana vs. Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer with Allison Danger will now change. The tag titles will still be on the line, but now the match is No DQ and the legendary Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat will still be quest referee. Steamboat will be there to insure there will be a winner.
May 8th: As a result of the above two items, the card has changed for June 12th in Dayton, Ohio. The Second City Saints have used the power they hold by being ROH Tag Team Champions and demanded a shot at the World Title in Dayton. So now CM Punk will challenge the winner of the 5/22 Samoa Joe vs. Homicide match for the World Title in Dayton. Ace Steel will take Punk's spot as Colt Cabana's tag partner in the Ultimate Endurance match.
May 8th: The influx of new talent continues as Superstar Steve, who has achieved recognition in Japan's NOAH promotion, will make his ROH debut on June 12th in Dayton. All the spots in ROH from the opening match to the main event are up for grabs now and Steve is coming to make the most of this opportunity.
May 8th: If ROH Pure Wrestling Champion AJ Styles isn't able to return, a new Pure Wrestling Champion will be crowned on July 17th in Elizabeth, NJ.
I really think that if Homicide fail's to beat Joe on May 22nd, That Punk MAY just stand a chance on the June 12th show. Also i think that Ace Steel suit's that Ultimate Endurance Match ALOT more than Punk, So it could work out better. Whilst i also feel that Punk has alot more Marketing his name than Homicide as much as i like the guy.
Doug Williams is booked for the July 17th RoH Show, Does any one See Doug becomeing the NEW Pure Wrestling Champion? The Downside of this is that RoH have even gone on record saying that it cost's to much to bring Doug in after every show, So i really cant see it being him.
Thought's?
