Boy jailed for raping mum

A BOY of 15 has been caged for raping his mum.

He admitted attacking her as she slept in a chair at home in Swansea.

The case is believed to be the first of its kind in British legal history.

Cardiff Crown Court heard the victim woke to find her son raping her.

He said: "Oh mum," and ran out of the house.

The mother-of-two, 36, told the court: "If it had been someone else I could have got over it. I don't know if I will ever come to terms with this."

The court heard the lad suffered physical and sexual abuse as a child and needed treatment to cope with "abnormal sexual desires".

He was taken into care at 13.

Prosecutor Stephen Rees said: "The boy appeared to have an unhealthy interest in his mother's relationships with men. He showed signs of jealousy."

The lad and his mum cannot be named.

Judge Jonathan Durham Hall gave the youth a two-year detention and training order, telling him: "Your mother made a brave response. It is her wish that I help you rather than punish you."

I think the mother should be taken to court also only of course if she did the sexual abusing to him when he was a child and if that is the case then she has no one else to blame but her self.

This brings me to believe that he never looked to his mother like you and I look at our mothers, This brings me to believe that he looked to his mother like she was his lover and when he saw her go with other men it brought jealousy just like any of you would if you saw your g/f going with other guys. In his mind this woman is not his mother she is more then that. I’m not trying to justify what he has done I’m just trying to show you that there are many factors to what happened that you are not taking into account you are all turning a blind eye to this.

This reminds me of the case where a retarded kid raped and killed a woman and now he is on death row in Texas or he might of already been executed I don’t know but I remember researching it.

All though I’m making a big deal out of nothing I just want a discussion to get going before you all label it as “sick” even though any kind of rape is, just remember to take over factors into account.

Scott fraid all you are going to get is sick and that is the answer I gave and everyone else gave.

Anyway the part about sexual abuse leads me to think that it was a male that abused him rather then the mother. Course whenever you hear about sexual abuse your mind automatically jumps to a male committing it. It certainly comes across that maybe the boys father abused him and the mother was the only person he felt any kind of bond with.

Obviously this dude has some serious physiciatric issues. It has something of the Greek tragedy about it though, doesnt it?

Nah, it's just viewed as the correct term. Retarded and handicapped both mean virtually the same thing, but people look at handicapped as the 'nicer' term to refer to those with physical/mental disability.
