No recap package at the beginning of the show for the second week in a row.

Team Canada w/ Scott D’Amore vs. Team USA in World X Cup Preview (Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt, and Alex Shelley)

Will Alex Shelley turn on Team USA? Shelley shakes Eric Young’s hand, waves to Team Canada, and tags in Jay Lethal. Lethal with a dropkick on Young. He goes to tag Shelley, but Shelley avoids him. Lethal tags Sabin instead and Young tags in Petey. Sabin with a running dropkick and a two count. Sabin tags in Dutt who goes to work on Petey. Dutt misses with a move and Petey tags in Bobby Roode. Dutt takes him down and gets a two count after a standing moonsault. Dutt gets pulled out of the ring by A1 and beat down by A1 and D’Amore on the outside. We return from commercial and Roode is working on Dutt in the ring. Roode hangs Dutt upside down in the corner and tags in Petey. Petey stands on Dutt’s crotch and sings a little “Oh, Canada.”
Young gets tagged and nails a flying elbow off the top. Sonjay dodges a running elbow from Young, hits a moonsault, and blind tags Shelley. Shelley walks back to tag someone and they all drop to the floor. He backs up into A1, who levels him. Shelley hits an enzuigiri. Shelley tags in Lethal. Lethal with a dropkick from the second rope. Roode interrupts the count and throws Lethal out of the ring. Dutt comes in to take care of Roode, but Petey takes care of him. Sabin counters Petey, but EY throws Sabin outside. Lethal with a dropkick on Young. A1 with a pump-handle powerbomb on Jay Lethal. He covers for the 3 count.

Winners: Team Canada

Samoa Joe/Sabu promo. That should be an awesome match at Lockdown.

Lockdown promo.

Diamonds in the Rough vs. AJ Styles, Ron Killings, and Rhino
Is it wrong that I like the Diamonds? The Diamonds try to attack the awesome threesome from behind, but the tables are turned early. AJ and Killings double flip dive over the top onto the Diamonds. Rhino sets Simon up for a Gore, but his mates pull him out of the ring. AJ and David Young hook up in the ring. The Diamonds double team Styles and Skipper replaces Young eventually. Simon gets tagged in and hits AJ while he’s down. He tags Skipper, but AJ gets to Rhino. Rhino tags in Killings, who starts where Rhino leaves off. He works over Killings and Young. It soon turns into a melee with all six guys in the ring. Young gets Gored, AJ hits a Pele on Simon, and Killings hits an Axe kick on Skipper. Killings pins Skipper for the win.

Winners: “Team Sting”

JB is with Larry Zbyzsko. Larry Z. puts over Lockdown until mark “Slick” Johnson interrupts. Johnson mentions Raven and Larry freaks out.

Christian Cage makes his way to the ring. The fans boo him. Oh wait, I forgot he’s not John Cena. Christian doesn’t like Abyss. I wonder why not. Hmmm… Christian says Abyss lacks testicles. Christian says Abyss is the one who’s scared, not him. James Mitchell interrupts him from the back (via big screen). Mitchell says their aim was to get Christian to lose his focus and he has. Mitchell guarantees a win for Abyss at Lockdown. I don’t. Abyss sneaks up behind Christian and nails him. Christian fights out of a Shock Treatment and goes for an Unprettier. Abyss reverses it into a Black Hole Slam. Abyss wraps his chain around Cage’s throat and picks up the World Title belt. That seals it, Christian will win at Lockdown for sure. Abyss beats on the security that runs into the ring.

AMW and Jeff Jarrett w/ Gail Kim and Jackie Gayda vs. Team 3D

I forgot just how small Brother Runt is. Jarrett starts off by attacking Runt from behind. He throws him face first into the corner and then into another. Runt with a small package for 2, then another. And another. Runt with a head to Jarrett’s gut. Runt with a neckbreaker and a two count. Jarrett crotches Runt on the top, but Runt rakes his eyes and stomps on Jarrett’s stomach. AMW run in to work on Runt, but Ray and Devon save him. Ray throws Runt over the top onto AMW and Jarrett. Back from commercial and things are happening all over the building. Runt is gouging Jarrett’s eyes. Jarrett turns things around and drops Runt on the rail. Team 3D is dominating AMW. Runt and Jarrett are back in the ring. Runt gets thrown into the corner face first again. Ray comes in and slams Jarrett. He holds Jarrett’s legs open and Devon headbutts him where the sun don’t shine. “Get the tables!” Well, they go for a table, but AMW catches them off guard with a chair. Wildcat with a wicked catatonic on Brother Runt, but Devon slams him down. Storm superkicks Devon, but Ray bombs him down to the mat. Gail Kim low blows Ray, but Runt takes her out. Team Canada comes down to distract the ref. Bobby Roode nails Runt with a hockey stick. Jarrett Strokes Runt and gets the 3 count.

Winners: AMW and Jeff Jarrett

Full on brawl continues after the bell. Team 3D is getting beat down until, predictably, Rhino, AJ, and Killings save them. Rhino Gores Jarrett and gives him a belly to belly suplex. Abyss comes out and beats on Rhino. Christian runs down and unloads on Abyss. Rhino slams Jarrett, but Scott Steiner drills him from behind. Steiner with a belly to belly. Sting runs down and whacks Steiner, Jarrett, and AMW.

Creepy Lockdown promo. That lady’s voice is just…scary. David Sahadi is the man.

I really am enjoying this new format to iMPACT! makes the show seem longer and less rushed, it also allows for more entertaining matches and segments.

The opening match sounds like a good bout, i still don't understand why Roode and A1 are competing in the World X Cup but hey i can get over it. I like how Shelley is keeping his heel character while at the same time being allowed to be involved in the World X Cup, i'm hoping he'll work with the Team at Lockdown though as he has no friendship with Team Japan like he does with Team Canada. Still nice solid match and a good little preview for the World X Cup.

Team Sting in action, again sounds like another solid match. I think the Diamonds in the Rough deserve better treatment though, they are a damn good tag team and should be build up as contenders for the tag belts. Even so sounds like a really good match between these six and so it should be with the talent involved. A nice little preview for how these guys will work at Lockdown.

I'm interested to see who this "new guy" is and what the talk about Raven is. I would laugh to see Raven get brought in as this new guy in TNA Management it would just be great to see him as Zbysko's boss.

Why doesn't Christian wrestle on iMPACT!? Seriouly he is the World Heavyweight Champ he should be involved in some sort of match why not have Cage and Daniels vs. Abyss and Joe or something along those lines atleast let these two guys get in the ring together in an actual match. The Title match really has had poor booking and build-up which is a shame as the match itself should be quite decent and both Cage and Abyss deserve more.

The Main sounds ok but i wish TNA would end the feud between AMW and Team 3D, how many time scan we see these guys brawl all over the show before it gets boring. Good to see Brother Runt added to the Lockdown match against Team Canada i imagine he will take some big scary bump. Overall the Main Event is ok and was just to show most of Team Jarrett in action. The ending was very predictable and TNA have done the big brawl ending so many times it's untrue.

Overall not a bad iMPACT! as i said the new format makes it a lot better although i think the ending brought the quality of the show down. Still not a bad show leading into the P.P.V which despite what other's think i feel will be another solid P.P.V so what are your thought's on this weeks iMPACT!?
