After watching this weeks Impact (which should be up soon) and after losing the X Division title at Desination X I think its the beginning of Joe making his transition from X division champion, to the NWA champion. No doubt his a favourite around the IWC, plus has his undefeated streak to go, so what do you think are the chances of seing Joe wearing the strap within the next month or so?

I doubt it happens that soon. I'd rather them wait until maybe the summer or the fall before doing that. Have his road to the NWA Championship picture build slowly. Give him some high profile feuds to establish that he's now in the heavyweight division. Having him win the title any time soon would be a mistake IMO.

Yeah i have no doubt Joe will be the NWA Heavyweight Champion and infact i also don't doubt that he will be the one to take the belt off of Christian. However Joe will not be winning the title for a while, Christian is a real breathe of fresh air to the NWA Title after Jarrett holding it for so long and Christian deserves a lengthy reign where he can have some high profile feuds and matches against guys like Abyss, Jarrett, Brown, Steiner and possibly even Rhino. And of course while Christian is doing this Joe needs to be establishing himself against the top level faces such as Rhino, Killings, Hardy, Sabu and even Sting.

Only after this will both men be ready for the eventual encounter of Christian vs. Samoa Joe. As for when this will happen, i'm with Unknown i'd say late Summer/Early Autumn is about the right time for these two men to hook up and then from there Joe can just go forth as the Champion. You could even turn Joe face as even now the TNA fans are cheering Joe and i think once he's got the belt around his waist those cheers will only increase so TNA may very well just turn Joe a full blown face. But either way yeah Joe will be the next NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

It would be a little premature to take the title off of Christian. It is an eventuality but right now they should concentrate on building Joe up to that title. The question though is who is best suited to help bring Joe into the NWA Title picture? Rhino is an obvious candidate but he is very much caught up feuding with Jarrett and company. A departure from that would be refreshing but Im not too sure if Rhino is the right guy to start things off with. Were Raven still active at the moment I would look for him to enter into a feud with Joe. That would be a fantastic feud and would allow Raven do for Joe what he did for Punk in RoH. Sadly we have no Raven at the moment and the more I think on it the more I am beginning to realise how thin TNAs roster truely is. The hour long shows really doesnt allow them to build much of a roster and as thus it hurts them when it comes to building someone like Joe toward an NWA title shot. Right now Joe could take the belt but Christian really should be given more time on top so that when Christian/Joe comes along it will be a big deal. The trouble is getting a feud to keep both Christian and Joe occupied between now and then.

When they eventually feud it would be a good idea for Joe to still be the man with the streak. Joe's streak is great in the fact that he is a great wrestlers and you can believe in the fact that such a man could have such a winning streak. I think at the first PPV match between the two, TNA should go with the No Contest finish. IMO it would add more to the second PPV match as regards tension etc. At the second meeting Joe would take the title leading into the third an final PPV match between the two over the NWA title which would be used to both cement Joes title reign early and allow Christian to stay at Main Event level.

I dont know if they can keep Joe and the streak interesting. TNA are in a tricky situation.

I wouldn't mind Christian ending Joe's streak, and then Joe commining back and winning the title. Not so much because I want christian to end the streak, but because it would add tension to to fued. Generally speaking i'm not a big fan of streaks in general though regardless of the person.
