FROM GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA
We begin with a recap of last weeks episode. We see clips of HHH announcing himself as the new owner. We see Evolution as they are not happy about this. We see clips of Jericho making fun of Heyman and Paul warning him that he better hope he is not traded to Raw. We see Kane defeating Eddie Guerrero to win the WWE Championship. The clip ends with Eric Bischoff being named the sheriff of Raw and Paul smiling. Pyro goes off and the Raw theme music hits as JR and King welcome us to Monday night Raw, live from Greensboro, North Carolina. JR and King talk about the four matches already signed for tonight. Both men wonder what Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff have instore for us. Finally, they acknowledge Kane as the new WWE Champion and say that Heyman has planned a special celebration for the newly crowned champ. JR and King send it to the ring.
Match #1
Matt Hardy vs. Rhyno
Rhyno takes the early advantage with a series of clothesline's. He then goes to work on the back of Version 1, hitting a couple of backbreakers in succession. Rhyno irish whips Hardy front first into the turnbuckle and begins to drive a series of elbows right into the small of the back. Things look bleak for Hardy when Rhyno hits a spinebuster and sets up for the gore. Hardy slowly and wobbily gets to his feet and Rhyno tries the gore but Hardy moves and Rhyno goes shoulder first into the ringpost. Rhyno turns around and is met with a kick to the gut and then is hit with the Twist of Fate, but Hardy can't muster the strength to cover Rhyno. The ref begins the 10 count and gets to 8 when Hardy makes it to his feet and goes for another Twist of Fate. Rhyno punches out of it and irish whips Hardy to the ropes. Hardy bounces off the ropes and is met with a fierce gore from the manbeast. However, the gore sends Hardy through the ropes, leaving Rhyno in the ring face down on the mat. The ref begins the 10 count once again. At the count of eight Rhyno manages to get to his feet. The count continues as Hardy is still motionless on the floor. The ref hits 10 and calls for the bell.
Winner: Rhyno by countout.
Camera picks up Paul Heyman backstage as he is headed to the ring with a big ol smile on his face.
Commercial Break.
Paul Heyman's music hits and out walks the GM of Raw. He has a mic in hand and gets in the ring. Immediately, the fans begin to boo him as he is ready to address them. Paul says that the fans will not ruin how he feels. He is on top of the world. First of all, Paul wants to clear up something. Paul says Teddy Long suffers from a serious case of delusion. Paul made the deal with Teddy to get Chris Jericho. Edge was a bonus. But Paul told Chris that he had better hope that he did not make a trade with Teddy. Well, Paul made the deal happen. See, Paul says that he specifically took three of the top cruiserweights in the draft because he knew that Teddy needed them. So, Paul offered Tajiri, Kidman and Knoble and threw in HBK because he wanted Shawn off of Raw. Teddy had no choice but to accept. So, Paul tells Jericho to come out right now.
"Break The Walls Down.". Y2J comes out to a huge pop and heads to the ring. But Paul tells him to stop before he even gets started headed his way. Paul warned Chris, and now Jericho is going to suffer the wrath of Heyman. Y2J tells Heyman to "Please shut the hell up!" Jericho says that Paul did do what he said he would do, and for that Jericho commends him. But, if Heyman thinks he is going to make Jericho his little bitch, then Heyman has another thing coming. Heyman says oh really and takes a moment to collect his thoughts. Heyman informs Chris that he will be in the main event tonight and he will be facing the new, WWE Champion, Kane. The crowd pops and Jericho likes this as well. But Heyman says it will be non-title, and informs Y2J that it will be a handicap match. Jericho will face Kane....... and the Big Show! Crowd boos as Heyman smiles. Camera goes to commercial showing a look of concern on Jericho's face.
Commercial Break.
I]We come back with Jericho walking in the back as he runs into Edge. Edge tells him that Heyman is just being a jerk and that Edge is going to go and talk to Bischoff. Jericho tells Edge not to bother because he will not give Heyman the satisfaction of knowing he got under Y2J's skin. Chris thinks a moment and tells Edge he has an idea. They walk off and we head to the ring.[/I]

La Resistance vs. Dudley Boyz
D'Von and Sylvan kick things off with D'Von getting the upper hand on Sylvan. A couple of right hooks and a clothesline sends Sylvan to the floor. Conway checks on his partner as D'Von and Bubba get the crowd fired up. Sylvan enters and is met with a couple more right hands, but a knee to the gut stops D'Von's momentum and Sylvan tag in Conway. Immediately, Rob begins to work on D'Von with a body slam, snap suplex, and a running clothesline of his own. Rob takes D'Von over to his teams corner and begins to distract the ref. Sylvan takes advantage and pummels on D'Von some more while Rob taunts Bubba. Tag to Grenier and the fresh man works over D'Von in the corner. Quick tag to Conway and D'Von is being mauled by the French sympathizers. Bubba gets a "USA" chant going and D'Von begins to feed off of it. Grenier has D'Von in a sleeper hold but D'Von does a back body drop to break the hold. D'Von makes his way to tag in Bubba and Bubba cleans house. Bubba bomb to Grenier, Bubba bomb to Conway and then Bubba signals for the "Wazzzzup". D'Von makes his way to the top of the turnbuckle while Bubba holds Conway's legs apart as D'Von connects. In the process, D'Von (still suffering from the beating he took) rolls out of the ring. Bubba tends to D'Von but he doesn't notice Grenier is up. Small package and a 1, 2, 3. La Resistance wins!
Winner: La Resistance via pinfall

We come back with Bubba talking to D'Von as a trainer looks him over. Bubba tells his brother that it aint over between them and La Resistance. D'Von says Oh testify as we head to the ring.

Six Man Tag
Evolution vs. Holly/Richards/Venis
Holly, Richards and Venis are in the ring when Evolution's music hits, but their is no sign of them on the stage. From behind, and all three of them with chairs, Flair, Orton and Batista level their three oponents across their heads. Evolution continues to beat the helpless threesome before finally throwing all three to the outside.
Winner: No contest
Flair calls for a mic and Lillian gives him one. Flair says that Evolution is not leaving the ring until HHH comes out and apologizes to Evolution. On cue, HHH's music hits and out walks the owner of the WWE to a nice pop. HHH gets in the ring and looks at Batista, Orton and Flair. Hunter says that the three of them should stop being little babies and grow up. HHH looks at Flair and says that he expected more from him. Flair wants to know what that means. Hunter says that if anybody should understand his decision to retire and lead the company, it should be Flair. Hunter had to do what was best for himself, and when this once in a lifetime opportunity fell in his lap, he couldn't pass it up. Now, Hunter says he sorry for one thing. He looks at Batista and Orton and says he is sorry he ever thought the two of them were man enough to run with him. Batista and Orton become pissed, but Flair tells them to settle down. Hunter says that the two of them must not have been paying attention to what Flair and he were teaching them. Hunter tells them that the two of them were the ones who came out last week and started bitching and moaning about HHH's decision. Flair never did. He and Flair have been talking all week about meeting tonight. Yet when Hunter tried to call Orton, he never returned any of his calls. Same as Batista. Hunter says that he is the owner and the two of them are going to have to deal with it and grow up. Flair jumps in and says that they all want to know if Hunter has their back. Hunter says that he does not forget his friends and that if Orton and Batista want a future in this business, then they should grow up. As for Flair, Hunter tells Ric that he wants him to think about something. He wants Flair to know that even though he is the owner, he will always be watching. This is his company now. Flair says that he feels Evolution can live with that, until Orton takes the mic. Orton says he has heard enough, and asks Hunter if he is going to apologize to them. HHH says no, and Batista nails gets in his face. Batista tells Hunter to think it over, but Hunter says no emphatically. Flair gets between Hunter and Batista and calms the big man down. He looks at Hunter and tells him that Evolution will be fine without him. The three leave as Hunter looks on.

Paul Heyman is in the ring as we are set for the Kane celebration. Heyman introduces the new, WWE Champion and Kane comes out. He gets in the ring and shakes Heyman's hand. Heyman says tonight marks the beginning of a long title reign for his WWE Champion. Heyman says that Kane has been looked over his whole career, but Kane seized the opportunity last week by defeating Eddie Guererro. Heyman says that Kane will not make a title defense until Bad Blood in June. Cue in Eric Bischoff's music as the sheriff of Raw makes his debut. Eric shakes Heyman's hand and asks for the mic. Heyman gives it to him. Eric says that he is also proud of Kane. He says Kane is a deserving champion. Eric then asks Kane then why he is afraid of Eddie Guererro? Kane gets angry and wants to know what Eric is saying. Eric says that Eddie has the contractural right to a re-match with Kane. And as such, Eddie has asked for that re-match. Heyman takes another mic and asks Eric what he thinks he is doing. Eric says he is doing his job. As sheriff, Eric has the responsibility to make sure that Eddie gets his re-match. So, in three weeks, Kane will defend his WWE Championship against Eddie Guererro right here on Raw. Kane says that is fine with him because he fears nobody.Eric leaves with a pissed-off Heyman in the ring.

We come back with Terri interviewing Eddie. She asks Eddie about his re-match with Kane. Eddie says that last week, Kane was the better man. But in three weeks, he will get his re-match and will regain the WWE Championship. He walks off towards the stage as we get set for our next match.
Match#4
Eddie Guererro vs. Kurt Angle
Eddie and Kurt renew their rivalry tonight. Kurt gets the upper hand with a firemans carry and a belly to belly suplex. Kurt then works over Eddie with a couple of knife edge chops in the corner. He whips Eddie into another corner and goes for a clothesline, but Eddie gets a boot up to the face of Angle. Eddie then levels Kurt with right and left punches and backs Kurt into the corner. Knife edge chops from Guererro as the crowd "wooo's" with every chop. Kurt then rakes the eyes of Eddie and drop kicks Edddie right knee causing it to buckle. Kurt begins to work over the right knee of Eddie. Kane then apperas on the stage and stays their as Kurt continues to pound on Eddie's hurt knee. Out of desperation, Eddie manages to kick Kurt to the outside to by some time. With the refs back turned, Kane seizes this moment and runs down to the ring. Eddie turns to get greeted with a boot to the face, and Kane slides out of the ring and runs through the crowd. Angle gets back in the ring, sees the fallen Eddie, and quickly applies the ankle lock. Eddie is out cold from the boot and the ref calls for the bell.[/COLOR

Terri is with Paul Heyman backstage. Heyman says that he and Bischoff, along with HHH, have come to a decision about the vacant Intercontinental, WWE Tag and the new Hardcore belts. Next week, their will be a 10 man elimination match with the winner being crowned the Hardcore championship. The Intercontinental and Tag titles will be decided via a tournament that will begin in two weeks on Raw. Heyman promises that the fans will not be dissappointed.
Final Commercial Break
Venis, Holly and Richards barge into Heyman's office. Venis demands a match between Evolution and he, Holly and Richards. Heyman says he would love to do that next week, but can't because Venis, Holly and Richards are all in the Hardcore elimination match next week. Venis says that Paul better make it happen soon, or else the three of them will take care of it themselves.

Handicap Match
Chris Jericho vs. Big Show and Kane
Before the match begins, Edge's music hits and out he walks with a referee shirt on. He tells Show, Kane and Jericho that since Paul felt so good about putting Jericho in this handicap match, Eric felt it was fair to assign a special referee....Edge. Show and Kane don't like it while Jericho approves. Show and Jericho kick things off with Show charging at Y2J, but misses and Jericho begins to work on Show's legs by kicking them. Show shoves Jericho away, but Chris storms right back and continues the assault on Show's legs. Show then grabs Jericho by the throat and looks for the chokeslam, but Y2J lowblows Show and gets out of the hold. Edge, having seen it, just looks the other way as if he didn't and Kane hollars at Edge. Jericho then does his enziguri and goes for the pin, but Kane interrupts the count and begins to pummel Y2J. Edge tries to get Kane to stop, but Kane punches Edge in the face and sends him sailing into the corner. Show gets up and both he and Kane grab Jericho by the neck. Double chokeslam on Y2J and he lays motionless by their feet. Kane smiles at Show and signals for another double chokeslam, and Show nods his approval. They get Jericho to his feet and prepare for the chokeslam, but out runs Eddie Guererro with a chair. Neither Show or Kane sees Eddie coming, as Eddie sneaks in and levels Show first. Kane sees this and drops Jericho and he and Eddie begin to duke it out. Kane gets the upper hand and has Eddie down, but Kane does not notice that the fallen Edge has risen and is waiting for him to turn around. Kane does and gets met by a spear. Eddie goes up top on the turnbuckle and frog splashes Kane. Eddie rolls Jericho on top of Kane and Edge makes the three count.
Winner: Chris Jericho via pinfall.
The show ends with Edge and Eddie holding up Jericho's arms in victory with Show and Kane lying motionless on the mat.

Edge tries to get Kane to stop, but Kane punches Edge in the face and sends him sailing into the corner. Show gets up and both he and Kane grab Jericho by the neck. Double chokeslam on Y2J and he lays motionless by their feet. Kane smiles at Show and signals for another double chokeslam, and Show nods his approval. They get Jericho to his feet and prepare for the chokeslam, but out runs Eddie Guererro with a chair. Neither Show or Kane sees Eddie coming, as Eddie sneaks in and levels Show first. Kane sees this and drops Jericho and he and Eddie begin to duke it out. Kane gets the upper hand and has Eddie down, but Kane does not notice that the fallen Edge has risen and is waiting for him to turn around. Kane does and gets met by a spear. Eddie goes up top on the turnbuckle and frog splashes Kane. Eddie rolls Jericho on top of Kane and Edge makes the three count.
Winner: Chris Jericho via pinfall.
The show ends with Edge and Eddie holding up Jericho's arms in victory with Show and Kane lying motionless on the mat.
