The Wrestling Observer reports that Austin Aries and Roderick Strong are in the proverbial TNA doghouse following this weekend's PPV.

TNA wants to send a firm message that it is tired of wrestlers missing its PPV events; even though Aries and Strong did make the PPV, management's opinion is that by staying in New York to work the Ring Of Honor show despite the bad weather, they risked missing the show.

The two did work at last night's iMPACT taping.

This is quite bitchy on the part of TNA. They can't force their workers to be TNA only and they should never make the wrestlers choose between them or another company who has not only done alot for the wrestlers in questions but for TNA too. Do you think TNA would of found Joe, Aries, Strong, Shelley, Bentley, Lethal, Homicide and others had it not been for ROH? Granted all these wrestlers had talent prior to entering ROH but it was ROH that helped these guys get their names on the market. TNA would have just looked at them as some other Indy guys had they not of done well for themselves in ROH. Hell look at those names it's half of the X Division and the current X Division Champ in Samoa Joe who has made more on an impact (no pun intended) in the last 8 months then any wrestler delivering TNA some of if not it's best matches ever.

So yeah i think for TNA to go and punish Aries and Strong would be ridiculous granted TNA are getting bigger and don't want to be seen as an Indy fed that can't keep control of their wrestlers but the fact is Aries and Strong made the show and if they had missed it they had a good reason. I mean Hardy has no showed twice for the sole reason that he is an immature prick, Waltman no showed for the same reasons yet they are still part of the TNA roster and will no doubt be heavily featured upon their return so for TNA to get pissy about this is just hypocritical and plain asshole-esque. What are your thoughts?

Yeah, but who are Strong, Aries, Joe, etc. compared to Waltman and Hardy? Yeah, Strong and company have better wrestling ability than Waltman and Hardy but those two were BIG names in WWE and WCW (well Waltman was). Of course they're gonna let little things slide with those two...well for now they will. Soon they probably won't for anyone.

Oh and when I say they are big names, I mean easily recognizable. Who would know Strong and company? Indy fans and some TNA fans. That's it. Everyone knows Waltman and Hardy. TNA knows that.

While you have a point GD, people like Strong, Aries and especially Joe are more valuable to TNA than Waltman and Hardy ever will be. Yes, they're names, but you can't build a company based on names from the past. Like honestly, who is going to see X-Pac's name and tune in. Add on to the fact they can't even use that name. I mean, let's face it Waltman and such won't draw casuals, while Joe will draw pure wrestling fans. Yes, casuals are a bigger demo, but I'd rather draw all of a smaller demo than draw none of a larger one.

Of course. I'm not badmouthing Joe and the others in this. I'm just saying that's how TNA probably looks at it in situations like this.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. If I'm starting a promotion, people like Waltman are great to have around, but as TNA moves on, they need a focus on domestic stars.
