Well, here is the first Smackdown under the HHH led WWE. Sorry about it being late. Here we go.

WWE Smackdown
From Athens, Georgia

We see video clips from this past Monday night Raw where HHH announced he was the new WWE owner and that this was the beginning of "A new era in the WWE.". We see clips of the draft and we see Teddy Long shocking the world with his last pick....Goldberg. We see Benoit victory over Booker T to retain the World Heavyweight title. And we see Booker T and Mark Henry forming an alliance known as The Playa's Club. The clip ends with Teddy smiling after Goldberg spears Heyman. Pyro goes off and the Smackdown theme plays as the fans go nuts. Camera pans out to show signs like "A New Era", "Heyman fears Smackdown", "I wanna be in the playa's club", and "Toothless aggression". Michael Cole and Tazz welcome us to Smackdown live from Athens, Georgia. Two matches have been signed for tonight. One is Grandmaster Sexay vs. Billy Kidman. The other is Mark Henry vs. Spanky.

On cue, Teddy Long's music hits and out walks the very first African-American GM. He gets in the ring and grabs a mic. Teddy begins by saying that Smackdown had a very productive draft. He feels confident that his roster is superior to that other show. Now, onto business. Teddy says that he, not Paul Heyman, was the one who instigated the trade that sent two very talented individuals (Jericho and Edge) to Raw. Now, people may think Teddy is crazy, but what he got in return was a whole lot more. He added three of the top cruiserweights in the world (Kidman, Tajiri, Knoble) and an icon (HBK) to his already superior roster. Teddy knew that Heyman wanted Jericho, but decided to throw in Edge because he felt Edge was too injury prone. Smackdown is for warriors, and he feels he got four quality superstars while only giving away two. Teddy sees that as a win for him. Now......

Cue in HBK's music as the Showstoppa himself walks out to the ring to a huge ovation. HBK is not happy, but Teddy is in the ring clapping for his newest superstar. Michaels grabs a mic and begins to tell Teddy that he is not very happy. But, he knows he has to deal with it, and he tells Teddy that he will do his job. Teddy, a little shocked by Michaels comments, says that he has hoped Michaels would be a man of his word. The two shake hands, but before Teddy can let go, Michaels spins him around and delivers some sweet chin music to Teddy. The crowd goes nuts and HBK stands over Teddy with a mic. He informs Teddy that he better make sure that HBK is the number one contender for Benoit's title, or else.

Commercial Break.

We come back with Teddy in his office. He is not very happy. A knock on the door startles him and in walks Booker T. Booker says that he wants Michaels tonight to teach Shawn a lesson. Teddy likes this idea and says that not only will it be Booker T vs. HBK, but it will also be for the number one contender's slot to face Benoit at Judgment Day. Booker smiles as we head to the ring.

Match #1
Grandmaster Sexay vs. Billy Kidman

Both men come out to nice ovations as we get set for a battle of cruiserweights. Both men start off by feeling each other out, with each showing their mat wrestling abilities. Finally, Kidman gets the upper hand with a nice drop kick. Kidman starts to work over on Grandmaster with an armbar followed up by a sleeper hold. Grandmaster works his way out of the sleeper and goes for a crossbody, but Kidman ducks at the last second and Sexay goes through the ropes, face first to the floor. Kidman goes outside and rams Sexay into the guardrail, slams him hard against the steel post, and finally gets Sexay into the ring. Kidman hits a powerbomb and goes up top for the Shooting Star. But then, out of nowhere, Sexay regains his stamina, goes up on the turnbuckle, punches Kidman and finally hits a suplex off the top rope. In the process, the ref gets knocked down. Sexay sees this and goes up top for his finisher. But halfway up the turnbuckle, he gets down and gets a steel chair. The ref is coming too and sees Sexay nail Kidman with a chair shot on the skull. The bell hits and the match is over. However, Sexay hits Kidman three more times across the back with the chair, and then leaves to a chorus of boos.
Winner: Billy Kidman by DQ

Commercial Break.

We come back with Kidman being carried out in a stretcher to an ambulance. Sexay is in a nearby corner looking on with a devilish grin.

HBK is in his dressing room getting dressed for his match with Booker T when the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit enters. Benoit tells Shawn that he came in here to wish him luck and that he hopes the two of them will meet at Judgment Day. Shawn assures Benoit that he does not need luck and that Benoit better get ready for the fight of his life at Judment Day. Benoit smiles and leaves.

Match #2
Mark Henry vs. Spanky

Pretty much a squash match. Henry came to the ring with Booker in tow as the newly formed playa's club makes their precense felt. Spanky did manage to get some offense in, but the big man tore the cruiserweight to pieces. Henry gets the win with his slam finisher. Booker comes on and delivers a Book End to Spanky as an exclamation point. Both men stand over the fallen Spanky to a chorus of boos.[/COLOR
[COLOR=Lime]Winner: Mark Henry by pinfall

We go backstage to see Teddy long smiling as he just witnessed the destruction of Spanky. Someone knocks on the door and in walks a tech guy. Teddy wants to know what is so important. The tech guy informs Teddy that Mick Foley is here and is headed to the ring. The crowd pops huge at this announcement as Teddy's smile turns into a frown.

Commercial Break.

Scrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeechhhhhhh! Mick Foley's music hits and Athens, Georgia goes nuts as out walks the Hardcore Legend himself. Chants of Foley fill the arena as Mick grabs a mic and prepares to speak. Mick thanks the fans for that warm reception, but now is the time to get down to business. Mick asks for Teddy Long to come out, and Teddy does. Mick tells Teddy that he is the sheriff around here, and that Teddy has already made Mick feel unwelcomed. Teddy looks dumbfounded. Mick goes on to explain by telling Teddy that he should have consulted with Mick about the number one contenders match Teddy signed an hour ago. Teddy says that he is the GM, not Mick. Mick says he knows that, but what Mick is referring to is the agreement in both of their respective contracts that says that major decisions reguarding title shots are to be of a mutual agreement between the GM and the Sheriff. Teddy thinks Mick is making this up, so Mick shows him the contract. Teddy reads it and becomes furious. He tells Mick that the match will happen. Mick says it will. He is not here to change it. Fortunately for Teddy, Mick likes the match. Teddy begins to relax. Mick says that now that that is out of the way, Mick wants to focus on the vacant Cruiserweight, United States and Tage Team titles. So, Mick wants he and Teddy to go in the back and work out an agreement to fill these vacancies. Teddy agrees and both leave.

Commercial Break.

Mick and Teddy are in Teddy's office talking about the titles. Both men seem to be willing to work with one another.

Christian's music hits and out he walks with Trish by his side. The fans begin to yell "Slut" at Trish as Christian covers her ears and yells back at the fans. The couple get into the ring and Christian grabs a mic. Christian says that Jericho was traded because Chris asked for it. He says that Jericho was afraid of him and that Jericho knew who the better man was. Trish agrees. Christian goes on to say that he fears nobody in this business, and that he has shown he can beat anyone, anytime, anywhere. But then..................
BONG........BONG........OHHHHHHHHH YESSSSS! The Undertaker comes out to a huge ovation with Paul Bearer leading the way. Christian is shaking in his boots and Trish looks scared ****less. The Undertaker gets in the ring and stares a hole through Christian. Christian tells the deadman (in a shaky voice) that if he knows what's best for him, then he'd better leave. The Undertaker continues to stare down Christian. Christian warns him again, and then lunges at Taker who takes Christian shot and continues to stare him down. He grabs Christian by the throat and Chokeslams him. Trish runs out of the ring as Taker looks on and wipes his hands of Christian. Taker leaves a motionless Christian in the ring to a chorus of cheers.

Final Commercial Break.

We see Christian entering Teddy's office. Teddy wants to know why he interrupted his meeting with Mick. Christian asks Teddy if he saw what happened. Teddy says yes, but what does he want him to do about it? Christian says he wants Taker at Judgment Day, and Trish is shocked by Christian request. Mick pipes in that that is a great idea, and Teddy asks Christian if he truly wants this match. Christian thinks about it, and then he hears the fans calling him a chicken****. Christian becomes enraged and says emphatically......YES. Christian storms out.

We see Grandmaster Sexay headed out of the arena as Josh Matthews catches up with him wanting to know why he did what he did to Kidman. Sexay tells Josh that he wants the Cruiserweight title and he will let nobody get in his way.

Match #3
Booker T vs. HBK
For the Number One Contenders Slot

Booker T comes out with Mark Henry in tow to a chorus of boos. HBK comes out to a huge pop as we get set for this match to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight title. Booker gets the advantage early with a rake of the eyes and immediately works on the right leg of Shawn. Booker pummels on Shawn for awhile as he is trying to wear down HBK. Booker then puts HBK in an abdominal stretch, using the ropes for leverage. After a few uses, the ref sees Booker using the ropes and breaks the hold. Booker wastes no time going right back to Shawn's right leg. Then Booker throws Shawn to the outside right by Mark Henry. Booker distracts the ref as Henry begins to work over Shawn. Henry rolls Shawn's lifeless body into the ring and Booker goes for a quick pin, but only manages a two count. Booker puts Shawn in a headlock and all seems lost for HBK. But at the last moment, Shawn punches out of the headlock and turns the tide. HBK has new life and begins to work over Booker. Knife edge chops, dropkick, suplex and a flying elbow delivered in succession to the Booker man. Shawn goes for the cover but Henry distracts the ref. Shawn gets up and knocks Henry to the floor. Booker gets up while this is happening and waits for Shawn to turn around. He does and Booker goes for a clothesline, but Shawn ducks and Booker nails the ref. Booker turns around and receives some Sweet Chin Music. HBK covers but the ref is still out. Henry comes in and is about to maul Shawn when Goldberg's music hits. The fans go nuts as out walks "Da Man". Henry lets go of Shawn and motions for Goldberg to come on. Goldberg obliges and gets int he ring and spears the big man. The arena is electric as Goldberg looks at Shawn and gives him a thumbs up. The ref comes to and makes his way over to make the three count. Shawn Michaels is the number one contender for the World Heavyweight title. Chris Benoit comes out to the top of the stage and claps and nods his approval. Camera fades with Benoit saying, "Me and you".

End Show.
