The 12/17 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.7 cable rating. This is down from the 0.8 rating the show drew two weeks ago on December 3 and the 0.8 rating the show drew on December 8 (Thursday).
TNA did go head-to-head with the NFL on Saturday night, so that could have easily pulled some of the audience away. On a more positive note, the 12/19 replay rating drew a final 0.6 cable rating. That is one of the more higher replay ratings the show has gotten.
ALSO:
TNA drew a record for their iMPACT! replay rating this past Monday night with a .6 for about 636,000 viewers.
The regular show on Saturday did a .7 but has been averaging a .8.
This is obviously great news for TNA as their product is being seen by over one million people on a week to week basis.
The PPV's have been drawing anywhere from 15,000 to 40,000 buys.
When TNA was on Wednesday nights before FSN and Spike TV they had been averaging about 6,000 buys.
WWE PPV's average around 250,000 buys per show.
Well this is good news for TNA. Although their ratings aren't soaring their not crashing either. An average of .8 over a two and a half month period isn't bad although i believe the show debuted at .7 so TNA really need to do something in which to get this rating up. I presume this is TNA's reasoning for bringing in Sting to see if he can make a difference in the ratings maybe sparking interest in the old WCW fans. But still the ratings are holding and the buyrates are quite good too but still TNA need to find something that will break the 1.0 mark as you gotta wonder how long Spike will hold out for a ratings increase. So what do you think pof TNA's current status and what do you think they can do to improve?
