Ok, this is starting to get out of hand. There are way...way...WAAAAAY too many arguments on here and like someone told me, when one ends, another starts.
People, myself included at times, are acting like this entire forum is an extension of IOW's Rants. It's not. Just like WNW, Rajah's, and WZ, this is a different place than IOW, despite the fact that we have some of the same staff members/posters.
People need to stop bringing up issues from IOW. Those IOW ISSUES, need to be brought up on IOW. If you just HAVE to bring them up on here, then we need to bring them up in PMs. It really is getting insane around here, because most of the fights are caused from things that happened in the past on IOW.
People feel like this is the place to rant about how things were done on IOW or how people acted there. Well, it's not and to everyone on here who has done that (and I'm sure I've even done that at some point) can do one thing to see how bad it makes them look and how stupid it is: take Hurricane as an example. To him, it seemed as though this place was just a place for him to vent his frustrations about IOW. To him this wasn't a real message board. Everyone saw that and everyone knows how stupid it looked and how much of an ass it made him look like to other posters.
People who do the same thing as him, look just as bad as he does.
We all need to quit the arguing, quite the snide remarks, quite the sarcastic remarks all the time. And the mods, myself included, need to quit arguing with members on here. We (we being the staff) need to quit bashing people on the boards for all to see because when we do that, we do three things:
1. We make asses of ourselves, bigger than the posters do when they do the same thing.
2. We lose people's respect.
3. We end up putting ourselves up above the posters.
Oh and anyone who comes in and is all like "YEAH!" at the part about the mods, you're just proving my point if you do it.
So, if you've got a problem with someone, PM or IM or email them about it. If problems aren't solved through those means, then come post it in NHB.
End of story.
*Applauses*
I agree with everything he said, lets stop the fightin' and a fussin' and get with the lovin'.

Oh and I'd like to add another one here:
4. We make each other look bad.
When a mod acts like a total jackass on the boards, they make the other mods/smods/admins look just as bad.

But isn't this a place where anything goes, people talk about stuff happening in their real(not internet) life and so why can't they talk about the stuff that happens in their internet life? Sometimes people just get p/o by somebody and get mad, it may be a bad day or they are just genuine(sp?) jackasses.

So you see nothing wrong with there being arguments on here all the time? At this rate, NHB will be bigger than IOW's Rants by Christmas.
And a lot of the arguments are starting OUTSIDE of NHB. Most of the arguments that are happening are things that can be simply solved in PMs or IMs because they're between people who know how to contact each other outside of WP.

Yeah, it's getting out of hand. The mods must have a lot of work in NHB.Plus, it's ending up that NHB is the most popular part of the site, including the WWE section which is supposed to be the main section. This is a wrestling site, but we are too busy with arguing against each other to remember that.

YEAH!
:p sorry had to do it.
But I totally agree, I guess I let too many things out myself, I guess it's got soemthing to do with my friendships and that, and that I feel IOW is a place for me to talk to my friends since all of you are, that's for the people that rant abotu me telling my personal life. And about ranting with other members, It is a bad thing to do, but there are times where you have to let it out, like I am just about ready to on IOW with Jujade always having a go at me, sometimes you can;t just sit there and take every hit. But we really do ahev to cut down all the rants, especially th eones that don;t deserve to be here....

Personally Im a bit sick of the whole, "Your a Mod you cant argue" statements. At times things need to be said though the majority of time's they really dont need to be said. I have tried to cut back on my snide remarks, sarcasm and general basharooing and considering where I was at, this King is doing well.
I think what WP needs to do is try gradually to distance itself from IOW. Until the amin site gets up then we will have trouble attracting new members that arent from IOW. Anyway, Im thinking that what we need to do is all have one big beer drinking session and leave all our worries behind.
But without the fights........ what'll Supes do and Duff is gonna be out of work. Duff wont be able to close anything......... poor Duff.

well I agree with some of it but thats what NHB is for.. If you have a problem with somebody then this is the place to do it.Atleast thats the way i took it.. True if you have a problem with somebody it should not be spread all over the forum but if you have a problem it should be settled in NHB..but things in NHB should be issues that have started at Wrestlepower not IOW..if you want to discuss IOW issues thats what Rants is for..

I'll still have chatter box, and then i'll have to close everything in there and nobody will be allowed to chat either :chuckles:
BTW, somehow i doubt a session on the drink will stop everyone arguing. Usually it has the opposite effect

Cool Duff, you keep the job.
I dunno, the drinking session can work. WP is full of happy drunks. Isnt that right lads.
*Ducks a bottle flying toward his head*
Yeah, look at 'em. They are all happy drunks. :winkok:

Feel free to come by and bitch at who ever is there..just dont use a lot of foul language..some is ok..
but as far as this place is concerned I could have swore this was the place to let it all out.. If you have a problem with somebody this is where you settle it..am i wrong or do i just not understand how this place works..

Personally, I love the NHB section because I feel it is the place where I can vent my frustrations. I can see if you have a problem with someone else that you should work it out between the two of you. NHB is for ranting about society, polotics, wrestling and anything else.

As far as I knew NHB was for ranting about others on the site.

thats kinda what I was thinking. But i wasnt sure.. So do the other rules apply for this place as well?
The only rule that doesn't apply in here is the no flaming rule. Everything else applies! Hope that answers your question.
I also want to try to clear up a few things. When GD posted this thread, there was a mini falling out between a few e-friends that could have been solved in an AIM chat or by PM. Instead it was taken into NHB. Please feel free to post about any topic or person in NHB, but just think whether it will actually resolve anything. If an arguement is between two people, then why not try to sort it out one on one, rather than posting it for everyone else to see. Bringing others into an arguement only inflames the situation, and makes it harder for two people to sort out their differences.

exactly Duff. It's funny how some people come on Rants/NHB and think by showing everyone how much of an ass a certain poster is, that they'll make the person look bad. Well, the thing is...the person who is supposed to look bad will for the first couple of minutes after the post has sunk in, then everyone will remember who posted it and think the person is such an ass and wonder what exactly their post solves.
a lot of the posts I see on here (here being NHB) are arguments between people who KNOW each other and KNOW how to get in contact with each other off WP. Really, can anyone tell me anything has really been accomplished by some of these threads on here? Yeah you might make yourself feel better for a few minutes but eventually, unless you're heartless, you're gonna feel guilty.
I can understand if, for example, Trevor and Scott had a falling out and neither normally talked outside of WP because they didn't know each other's AIM, Yahoo, or MSN s/ns. That would be perfectly fine, but if you've got a problem with someone who you know how to get into contact with be a man and confront them. IF they still won't listen to you and you still feel in your heart that they are wrong and need to see it, THEN post it in here.
I've seen a lot of posts in here where they were solved real easily and the outcomes made it clear that it could have been solved in private.
Yes, NHB is for Rants and solving problems, but can any of you who disapprove of my post honestly say that these stupid arguments between people who know each other should be on here?
We're supposed to be civilized human beings, not people who argue all the freakin time. Use NHB as a last resort, not as the first attack.
