Chris Benoit & WCW

I've never been a big fan of WCW, but i resently saw the WCW PPV where Benoit won the WCW Title. I know that he left WCW the next day, but I don't know the situation surrounding it. If anyone has got any info about why he left and how they covered it up on the following Nitro. Thanks.

He was pretty much Stripped of the title on the Following Nitro....Then he turned up on WWF Broad Casts with The Radicalz.

I thought he tried to vacate the belt and just left it with Russo and his idiots then.

I remember seeing The Radicalz at RAW, it was very cool and unexpected.

beniot didnt like the direction that wcw was going. russo had lost control of wcw and "the powers that be" took over and beniot knew that the direction they were gonna go stunk and that he wanted out. so did eddie, saturn and malenko. wcw then said that beniot was stripped of his world title because sids foot was under the rope when beniot pinned him. it was a massive blow to wcw, eddie certainly would have been a world champ also.

The real reason's he left was down to Kevin Sullivan comeing in as Head Booker or part of the Writing team. Benoit and Sullivan of course have heat over Benoit's wife Nancy, Who'm he apprently "Stole" from Kevin and they had an Affair.

Hence why Benoit jumped to WWE.

To be honest though as long as there was old guy's in WCW, The likes of Saturn or Eddie i dont think would have ever had a run at the top! Benoit wasnt ever going to have a long run IMO.

What is really funny is that Benoit threw the WCW title belt in the garbage, and the next night he was on Raw. Benoit knew that the only reason he won the belt was the fact that WCW thought they could keep if he won the title. I guess Benoit showed them.
