Its time for another installment of my daily column. This is all about things that bug me in wrestlig, and thisngs that i wanna praise in wrestling. There are a couple things that I want to adress today and I'm gonna start with something bugging and thats good matches.
To be blunt and straight to the point, pro WWE fans wouldn't know a good match if it jumped up and bit them right in the ass! If a match isn't filled with punches, kicks, "high impact" maneuvers, and wrestlers playing the crowd then they are not into it! They remain silent. On top of that if a good move is done by a heel then they boo rather than cheer! Which really pisses me off! If a move is good cheer, and a match is considered ****ty by lots of people if who they hate won the match, this also bugs me. A good match is a good match, regardless of who wins.
But there are parts to a good match that pro WWE fans need to look at. A good match needs science, a story to tell, some aerial maneuvers, hard hitting moves, and high impact moves! Most of all a good match doesn't need the wrestler to play the crowd to react, it just needs the action. The WWE is really lacking in this department. A WWE fan sees a good match as punches, kicks, wrestlers playing the crowd, and the face winning. Don't get me wrong, the WWE can have great matches! The 8 man tag on RAw was sweet, and the HBK vs HHH a few months back on Raw was off the chart. And at No Way Out Rey vs Chavo was amazing. What bugged me though was that the fans weren't that into it when it was technical. Why?
Let me take you to a match that happened in ROH. Low Ki vs American Dragon. These guys went at it for 30 minutes. The first 15-20 minutes were extremely technical! They traded holds, submissions, and the reversals were sweet! The WWE fans would boo cause there was no crazy action, just actual wrestling, and not like Kurt Angle, like actual wrestling, and even some martial arts. The crowd loved it. They added the right touch of flying. close calls, and high impact maneuvers! The crowd didn;t care who won, they just loved the match and gave a standing ovation. Until the end of the match if it were to take place in WWE I'm sure there wuld be chant of boring ala Steve Austin. Lance Storm isn' boring! Another sweet match was Low Ki vs Samoa Joe! This match was brutal! These guys hit each other so hard, and it was technical! It wasn't at all aerial, just two guys kicking each others ass!
This all bring me to TNA. i was sure that this company would help change the face of wrestling when they got their major TV deal! This place what amazing! They even pioneered a new style of wrestling! They put on great matches and had almost every style! But now they are focusing on entertainment aspects, and shortened wrestling, and added more matches to the card. So much for big finishes and sweet matches! Now pro WWE fans will just not even bother to watch TNA after their first show, it will be same old same old, and guys they've never heard of, and some they haven't seen since Sunday Night Heat so they won't give a ****!
I'm out to save wrestling through the internet. So I'm gonna help all of you out and give a list of some amazing matches, that if shown on WWE might not be appreciated. I know my dad is pro WWE and thinks Indy stuff isn't real wrestling. he has been poisoned by Vince McMahon's version of a real match.

If you have no way to get these, contact me and I can hit you up over MSN. I'm not on it 24/7, but when i am on I will give a match to you.
Now onto the second thing I would love to discuss with you all. PWG (Pro Wrestling Guerrilla). This So Cal wrestling company was started by wrestlers to give the people great matches, and give wrestlers more exposure! The company was started by Super Dragon, Excalibur, Joey Ryan, Topgun Talwar, Disco Machine, and Scott Lost. This is the biggest show in So Cal, and you won't get as good a quality a show as PWG. The owners make no money, and they lose no money, it all goes into the shows. They don;t do much to promote them but they are forming a street team, and I hope it goes well!
If PWG gets bigger over time I can see them being the next ROH. The shos are just as good, if not, better! They have tons of big names wrestle there! Some big names (ot including those already mentioned) that perform there are Frankie Kazarian, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, American Dragon, CM Punk, Chris Hero, B-Boy, Christopher Daniels, Homicide, Colt Cabana and more! The company is young and has a great future. i recomend you check them out at prowrestlingguerrilla.com. There you can buy all their DVD's. They are filled with great matches.
One of their matches I wanna talk about is to settle blood feuds. Its called a Guerrilla Warfare match. The first one between Super Dragon and Joey Ryan was amazing! it had tables, ladders, chairs, guard rails and more! These guys took huge risks, and the finish was sick. the second one from a couple weeks ago was amazing and had Scorpio Sky and Super Dragon! Another steller match with a brual finish to it! So check em out!
Thats it for ths stroll around the corner! Check in tomorrow when I start my series where I analyze Indy wrestlers that I recomend you take a look into, starting with Super Dragon! For matches of those I listed (some you have to pay for, most are free). Go to clickwrestle.com if you have high speed. Check out Revolution Pro, APW, and fan made tributes, plus official videos!
