The General Feeling going around is that if you wrestling in the Independents, You Don’t deserve to be make it in to the Big League, You Don’t deserve to enter the WWE and showcase what you can do…. My point being Majority of People have not seen some of the guy’s go at it. There’s also another argument floating around, If you wrestle on the Independents, You aren’t good enough to be in the WWE. Any one noticed a floor with that argument? The WWE Should Worry when half the guy’s that are not in there promotion can go out be it in different promotions with different gimmicks and put some 5* material match’s. Well I’m guessing every one has realised that I’m an Indy fan boy. That would be correct and I have been for some time. What drew me to Independent Wrestling were things like the Talent and how the company had them and made them look like Big Stars! NWA TNA took AJ Styles and MADE him in to something! I got to respect AJ, I remember when he was offered a Developmental Contract by the WWE and he rejected them. Any body that does that I think Deserves respect, I’m guessing AJ Realised if he was going to get anywhere in the Wrestling Industry, He had to do it his own way instead of heading in to the WWE would have Probably condemned him to Main Eventing Super Stars (Nothing Wrong with that, In-fart I Tracked Down his Match with The Hurricane) Whilst AJ to me is always going to be some one that Deserves more , Yet will probably one day make it to the WWE and will Hopefully be used Correctly. Anyway I intend to Bring You The Latest News whilst also casting my opinions on what the company is doing.
So with out further ado, I’m going to talk about Last Night’s NWA TNA Broadcast. So as of late TNA has been dropping, and not holding peoples interest’s and has slightly been reminiscent of WCW of 1999/2000 Is it coincidence that Vince Russo is also Booker?
Anyway, I’ve always been impressed since TNA opened with The Tag Team Known as America’s Most Wanted, They Impressed me at the start and WHERE one of the main thing’s I got NWA TNA Tapes imported in to the UK. But I no people may agree, but I really don’t Buy Them being thrown in to the Main Event. I mean for a start, I’d have Built them up , Maybe even gone as far as to Having the AMW Turn on each other because of the Title shot’s etc ( Reminiscent of The Rockers) As They want to move on to Bigger and Better thing’s. Yet it just looks like the Booking Team have Just Realised they need to push some of this So Called New Generation Talent except they have done it in a fashion that some people don’t buy how they got there. But I’m all for the New Guys being Pushed on the “The Jeff Jarrett” Show. Anyway here are My thoughts on the TNA Show from Last Night.
I Quite like the Look of Jerry Lynn & Elix Skipper Vs Nate Webb & Chris Hero from TNA Explosion, Shame that All those guys are on that show to be honest. I’ve always been a Major Fan of Jerry Lynn, yet I cant help but think this. He’s gone from being a Challenger for AJ Styles Pure Title in Ring Of Honour to Being a some one that appears on a Show that is the EXACT Equivalent to Sunday Night Heat! Has Jerry actually done anything worth Mentioning in NWA TNA? He Lead Team NWA for the X Cup, yet I feel TNA really shouldn’t have pulled out the Talent from ROH, At least they knew what to do with them? Also I’m very curious to no why the sudden Gimmick/Character Change for Goldie locks, especially seeing as she is American…Yet they give her a French gimmick and is this Love Interest of Abyss. …Fair enough I can live with that, but it’s starting to be like WWE, Lets Repackage some one, The Fans wont notice that it’s a TNA Regular wearing a Wig etc. Bad move if you ask me , but maybe , Just Maybe TNA Fan’s Wont notice. Right , Moving on to Jarrett Vs Storm….We can clearly see that Jarrett IS NOT Triple H and isn’t anything like him. Any one else feel that Jarrett should have lost? I Feel that the title SHOULD have been on the line also. There for could have caused some Tension between America’s Most Wanted. Shame that this had Interference, yet I am quite interested in seeing this match, I Just don’t like the idea of all the Interference so early in a PPV Broadcast. I’m going to guess that Russo is trying to Get Styles Back on his side though? Seeing as when AJ was champion, He was pretty much With Russo all the time. Hmmm I sort of understand why the fans have crapped all over Dutt Vs Kazarian , It seems to be in the results described as a Spot fest that has thing’s missing. Why cant TNA make the X Division like it used to be? When they used to have actual WRESTLING Match’s for the titles. No one really want’s to see Spot Fest’s these day’s , I No for a fact I Appreciate WRESTLING for what it is. Not people running around the Ring Hopping over the ropes and doing 3 Million turns it to a Suicide Dive! I admit it is Impressive, But I think the industry is in a slump and company’s should be focusing on Wrestling. Yet I probably will pull that match of Kazaa some time when it’s available of download. I’m a big fan of Sonjay and Kazarian , Yet I no what these guys are like …. So that’s why I’m expecting a spot fest. I Don’t understand why Abyss Killed both guy’s after the match though, Does any one else? Cheap Heat I suppose. Also I Cant see Kazarian becoming a Member of Team TNA , I can imagine the way its going Team TNA Feuding With Kazarian who will end up creating his own team. I was looking forward to Diamond Vs Swinger yet I think TNA May have Killed any chance’s of this being good by Having David Young Interfere. I really wanted to see a Match with out Interference on this show. I no it helps build up feud’s but it’s a bit intelligence insulting when 2 Match’s on the show have it with in the first hour! I Quite like the after match attack. Except that Robe that Swinger Blew his nose on etc , SHOULD have been Built up for Week’s I mean is any fan going to really care if its been ripped up because it’s there? I Think not , the Object needs to be put over like a Wrestler for it work. But I must say , these kind of Angles Rock. I cant see Brown Vs Sabu being to pretty to be honest. Brown is WAY To Green and I thought that When I first saw him on a TNA Broadcast all that time ago , Sabu is Sabu , Who isn’t in the shape he was in 7 years ago to have those insane brawls. Brown though in my Opinion is WAY to green and has room to improve , but as of yet I just don’t buy in to him. Looks to me like they are going to put Abyss over as a Uncontrollable monster seeing as he attacked Sabu and Brown during this match. My Guess is that Sabu and Abyss are about to feud…But I could be wrong though. I’m Guessing this May lead up to an eventual feud. They seem to be hinting at The Franchise splitting up , Shane In my eyes is a Awesome Worker and really needs to get over in TNA and I like how they are doing it. Having him work With Shane Douglas though is a bit sketchy, I mean Shane Douglass could work along time ago , Yet now he is a shell of his former self , so I’m one of these people that would consider keeping him out the ring and having him as a Mouth Piece for Michael Shane or any other upcoming talent. Either way I cant see that happening any time soon…. I am actually having visions of TNA Maybe starting a feud between Michael Shane and Shane Douglass I don’t think any wrestling fan would like that as it’s not going to be pretty. Maybe Shane should have retired all those years ago! Then next came to the NWA Tag Title Match, Last week Dallas and Kash where crowned the champions, This week there defence was against D’lo Brown and Ever so Un Charismatic Apollo. Well I forgot about this rule , If a Match ends on DQ the title’s will change hand’s fair enough , I’m Guessing Majority of TNA fans had forgot about this though , as Dallas tried to cheat to win yet ended up costing his team the title’s. I Like the idea, yet MAYBE they should have reminded us about the rules instead of just having us forget. But this doesn’t make sense to me , the whole point of the tag tournament was to crown new Tag team champions , But after a week reign they’ve took the belts of Kash and Dallas , I Just cant see the Logic in this idea to be honest but lately most Wrestling companies don’t do logic. Then comes the Main event , Steel Cage Match ,Which Saw Raven Challenge Chris Harris , Now Part of me wanted Raven to go over in this match , Whilst the other wanted Harris , To Go over , It looks to be one entertaining match , BUT what annoyed me the most is that there’s interference. Now forgive me if I am wrong but isn’t Sabu a Face in NWA TNA? I mean that would make perfect sense seeing as Monty Brown was a Heel yet having him come out and help Raven doesn’t make much sense and to apparently act like a total baby face whilst attacking AMW. I Don’t really understand that But Its nice to see that it looks like one of the best match’s of the night. So next week , Chris Harris Vs Jeff Jarrett Part of me wants to see Chris Harris take the title , Part of me wants in to end with Raven helping Jarrett maybe setting up some sort of triple threat match for the near future. Who Knows? All I no is that TNA Have announced ONE match so far for next week’s TNA Show!
On The Ring Of Honour Message Bored, It came out that Spanky Will be making his return, at Round Robin Challenge 3 , Yet every one has been interested to see who he will be facing. Well Gabe Announced that Spanky will indeed be there and Will be taking on none other Than Homicide! That’s Major news for Any Fan. To me I think that this match should be very interesting as Spanky has the build of a Cruiserweight Yet he can wrestle! Whilst Homicide can Wrestle, Work Strong Style and Wrestle with a Hardcore Style. So to me its going to be interesting to see how this one play’s out. I no they had a match on one of the World One show’s in the US not so long ago, Many people have gone on record saying that this match was entertaining etc. I have yet to see it but I think there match at Round Robin Challenge should be interesting to say the least. I wonder if Spanky will use the Top Rope Slice Bread Number 2 Again? Which is a bit of a Rarity
Also It is Going to feature the first EVER Tag Team Round Robin Challenge. So far the 3 Teams going to be in it are
ROH Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe
The Second City Saints of CM Punk & Colt Cabana
The Prophecy of Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer
I’m Quite Hyped with that as All Teams are Over with the fans and capable of putting on some good match’s. The other good thing is that the teams at one point have had issues with one another and I’m Sure its going to be interesting to watch everything go down! I’m Quite interested to see Who Will win this to be honest , I Wouldn’t Mind saying The Briscoe Brother’s But seeing as The Prophecy are still wanting to take over the promotion , it would make a lot of sense to have them take the RRC 3.
Its Quite interesting to also say that ROH doesn’t look to have lost any momentum since TNA took majority of the big names. To be honest , ROH looks a lot stronger , Just a shame that Styles , Daniels and others wont be on any Upcoming shows. But this could go back to Biting TNA on the Ass seeing as Lynn wasn’t even on the Main Broadcast, Yet People Who have seen the “Reborn” Cards for the Upcomeing ROH Shows on 23rd and 24th April. ROH is going to be introducing a lot of new talent in to the promotion. I For one am excited, I’m pretty interested in seeing guys not Step up a level and turn there performances up a Notch to KEEP them inside the company. I mean In the Internet Fan’s eyes, The Havana Pitbulls Vs The Briscoe Brothers is a DREAM Match! Its bound to be One entertaining match up and I’m really looking forward to this. This is also going to help Show what the likes of Jimmy Jacobs, Alex Shelley and Jimmy Rave can actually do, This is the perfect time for them in my opinion to actually get over with the company and show what they can do. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing Bryan Danielson Take on CM Punk, I imagine that any fans of these guys will no why. All I can really say is that it should be one good weekend of wrestling.
It’s rather cool to see that AJ Styles won’t be stripped of the Pure Wrestling title. I’m really hoping that all the issues are sorted out rather soon. Apparently if Styles isn’t back in ROH by Early June, ROH officials will make another decision on what to make of the situation. I for one think it was a Excellent choice that Styles became Pure Wrestling champion, and He was the perfect choice out of the bunch of the guys that where down to challenge for it. Also a Belt needs credibility and Styles seemed to give the belt quite a bit of that
Anyway that’s this done for this week; I’m awaiting feedback to see if I should write another one , but rest assured I’ve got idea’s for the upcoming week’s involving Promotions like CZW, PWG , IWA – MS and what other promotion I can get in to.
