December 22nd: ROH officials have decided that each show of the 3rd Anniversary Trilogy will have something unique and special. Already signed for 2/25 in Dayton is the one night only appearance of AJ Styles. Already signed for 2/26 in Chicago is the second meeting of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Jim Cornette. Just signed for 2/19 in Elizabeth, NJ will be the return of the Scramble Cage!!! We have not seen the dangerous and death-defying Scramble Cage since 8/28/04 for the insane "Scramble Cage Melee." The 2/19 Scramble Cage will follow the same format as the very first Scramble Cage match at "Main Event Spectacles" on 11/1/03. There will be several teams involved that will enter the ring in time intervals (length to be determined) and the team that scores the first pin or submission wins. Tickets for this event and the other two nights of the Third Anniversary Trilogy are now on sale and included in the 20-25% sale that ends tonight!!!
December 22nd: Some of the details of the heated conference call between ROH officials, Mick Foley and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat have leaked out. Foley and Steamboat were called to set up a format for this Sunday's confrontation in Philly. It quickly broke down to a war of words with Steamboat saying that Foley lacked skill throughout his career while Foley mocked Steamboat for coming out with a lizard at one point in his career. Steamboat said that Foley should show Ric Flair some respect since Flair was having classics before anyone even knew who Mick Foley was and the only reason anyone ever heard of Foley was because he was a glorified stuntman. The verbal battle then saw each man exchange physical threats before ROH officials ended the call. There is no telling what will happen when Foley and Steamboat come face-to-face on the day after Christmas in Philly.
December 22nd: Steve Corino and Spanky have been signed for the 1/15 event in Cambridge, MA. We'll have lots of news on this show next week. This is ROH's only January event so you know it has to be huge!!!
December 22nd: Prince Nana has ordered a very expensive spread for The Embassy's locker room on 12/26 as he anticipates a victory celebration for Jimmy Rave winning the Pure Title. Nana said that he will do anything to make sure that The Embassy enters 2005 with a champion. Ghana, West Africa is already preparing a victory parade for next week.
Wow, ROH decide to hold a week long 3rd Anniversery and IMO it looks like a great idea. They're promoting every show in it as must see, with Styles' return on the first show, Cornette/Heenan on the second show and the Scramble Cage on the third. Not to mention that Jamie Noble is booked along with Danielson. This should be really good.
Corino and Spanky booked for 1/15 is yet even more good news. Steamboat is gone if this show, but these two more than make up for that as they are both active wrestlers, where the Dragon is not.
