Seriously? I have never been scared by my own death. I know that i have led a fulfilling life and there are very few experiences i have missed out on. Death never has, and never will, scare me, mainly because its not something i pay too much attention to. If we constantly worry about death, how can we enjoy life?
My biggest fear used to be rejection, cos i used to be very shy with girls and hated asking them out in case they said no. Then i discovered alcohol. Now i dont really have any fears. I prefer to concentrate on the good things that have happened to me, rather than the bad things that might

Rejection is my biggest fear. I will hopefully grow out of it one day.
start drinking. No, as a resposible adult, i cant condone underage drinkers, unless they are absolutely certain they wont get caught

Not fulfilling my dream. Although, after you talk to anyone who knows me real well and is around me a lot, you'll find that I'm the only one who thinks there's a chance my dream won't come true.
Another thing that is ranked right up there is the idea of NOT figuring out what I'm here for. The dream I'm hoping to fulfill could turn to be my purpose. That'd be crazy if I fulfilled my dream, killing two birds with one stone in the process.
The only person that can stop you from fulfilling any realistic dream is yourself, so i imagine your friends are right GD. Figuring out what you're here for is somewhat more difficult as it is one you might never know the answer to, until it is too late. Personally i think the two are very much linked. I think we are alive to fulfill our potential and live out our dreams, while helping others to do the same. As usual, this is just my opinion, i may be wrong,i may be right. Who's to say either way?

My biggest fear is probably Death or Death of a Family Member. With Planes, not heights, a close second.

I used to fear death. It was back in 1994 when the fear arose. That was the time when my uncle died. I was closer to him than practically anyone I've ever met. His death affected me for a long time and caused me to fear death. I have no idea what really made me finally get over that fear.
Honestly, I think the people who are afraid of death are either that way because of a recent death of a family member or friend or someone they just knew in general that really affected them in some way...either that or they're afraid of what will happen to them in the afterlife. Not that there's anything wrong with fearing it. I can't say there is otherwise I'd look like a hypocrite.

LOL Duff. No need to worry about that, I already do drink lol. I mean there is not a 14 year old around in these parts that I know that doesn't drink. Lol. But the fear of rejection still lives within me anyways.

I am scared of both becoming something I do not want to be, as a beat old down bastard who lives on the street and can't pick myself up. And that is as alot of people have said is Death or death of a family member, it just freaks me out.

This thread is depressing :crying:
Why do threads like this get made?
I have seen a million threads just like this one and everytime I read one like it I feel depressed.
I fear death so bad and and for a while I had forgotten about it until this thread came to be.
Now I have to try and forget it all over again
Im not mad at Duff but this thread is reminding me of bad things

ahha that's funny I am scared of the dark I don't know why. I am a rather large person and have a paralyzing fear of mice when I see one I just can't seem to move. and I fear falling on my face since it's happened once and I didn't like it. (read jc's blade or no blade thread)

I was so glad to come into this thread and see some people with the same fear as me - I am extremely scared of death! At night I have panic attacks and that is probably why I stay awake late watching TV or on the net to keep myself distracted till I am about to nod off!!
I was worried not as many people were scared of it like I am - I wish I knew some people I could consult at times, but then even talking about it is scary.. does anyone else have thoughts? Wanna PM me haha?? :help: :crying:
