Due to the terrible ratings the show has been getting, WWE has decided that it will cancel Confidential in the coming weeks. A few episodes may still air, but do note that the show will be removed from Spike's schedule soon.
One issue this brings up, however, is what WWE will put in the Saturday night/11PM slot. WWE's deal with Viacom requires them to produce a show for that timeslot, so they will have to come up with something.
WWE has not yet decided what the replacement show will be, but it is safe to say that WWE is getting closer and closer to the much-rumored ECW return in that timeslot. Depending on when Confidential is actually removed from the airwaves, WWE may have to run some filler shows first before determining on where they want to go with that slot.
Again, nothing has been decided yet. While the ECW rumor certainly has more backing to it now, it's not confirmed.
This is very interesting. I wonder what the WWE will be filling that time slot in. It could very well be ECW!!!

I don't work backstage, and I have no clue who will go to ECW. ECW might still be in the air. We have to see what will happen when more news of this gets out. Until then, we all have no clue...

Now this is why they made a huge mistake by releasing Sean O'Haire. He could fit in perfectly on this roster. I seriously hope there is an ECW return. Even if it flops horribly, it would be cool as hell at least for the moment. My question is who would be on the ECW roster. Actually now that I think of it ECW mioght get a PPV because a few months ago that Vince was thinking of having 14 PPV's a year.
My roster for ECW would be as follows:
Tajiri
The Bashams
Tommy Dreamer
FBI
Lance Storm
Nova
Matt Morgan
There's a wrestler in OVW named The Beast not sure how good he is but has a good look so him
I really can't think of anyone else. And besides with a one hour show they'd have a small roser anyway.

The WWE has over 120 wrestlers and I believe thats not counting the people who are in trying like Jamie and a few others from tough enough

I know they'd have a much bigger roster. I just really couldn't think of anyone else at the current time. I just woke up a little while ago. Maybe when I wake up a little bit I'll think of more. lol

We reported yesterday that WWE would be cancelling Confidential. To update this story Spike TV is apparently shaking up its schedule starting May 3rd. WWE Velocity will now be airing at 7 pm EST, where as WWE Sunday will air at 10 am Sundays. Car and Driver TV and Horsepower TV will be airing Saturdays 10-12 midnight EST Saturdays.
Looks to me like WWE and Spike TV are trying to make us think that there will be no ECW return, but I still do believe it is coming. If it does, it will just take the Horsepower TV timeslot.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that Paul E gets creative control! For me, I wouldn't take some of the superstars who Vince has high hopes for in the WWE and place them in the new ECW. I would bring up talent from the OVW and guys who would normally not get a shot at the big time, this way ECW could go completely hardcore and Vince wouldn't have to worry as much about injuries. It'd be a waste to put someone like Matt Morgan there, who Vince might someday hope to be in the main event on Raw, and risk a possible career-ending injury on a show that likely won't be able to draw the same kind and size of audience as something like Raw or Smackdown.
My question is... where will they film ECW. I've heard rumors saying that it will be filmed at smaller arenas to give it that real ECW feel, which would either mean that they'd have their shows taped at house shows or that they'll do their own independent shows. If they go the way of completely seperating it from the WWE product, then will they tape multiple shows in one sitting, the same way TNA did for the first little bit? I won't even consider PPV's. Thinking like that considering the show is only once a week for an hour at a time anyway just doesn't make sense. If you think about it, they'd only be producing about a PPV's worth of programming a month anyway. Only about 4 hours worth, you know.

I would like to see the ECW because I was to young to even know if it's existence. If it did come back would it really be worth it having stars go back to where they came from and risk thier carreers.
