Four Corner Survivial Match - Nigel McGuinness v. Roderick Strong v. Josh Daniels v. Matt Stryker
Tag Team Grudge Match - Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer v. The Carnage Crew
Pure Wrestling Grudge Match - Chad Collyer v. Jay Lethal
Battle of the High-Flyers!!! - Trent Acid v. Matt Sydal
Tag Team Challenge - Jimmy Jacobs & Delirious v. Special K's Dixie & Angel Dust
Ok first complaint I have about this show is the Trent Acid vs. Matt Sydal match being called a battle of the high flyers. Sydal I could see but as Wisey said, Trent Acid a high flyer? I know that this is probably to get people who haven't seen these wrestlers intrested in the match but the problem with that is that after they do see it they'll be disappointed that there wasn't more high flying. However, while some fans might be disappointed , I think that this will be a really good match as I am a fan of both of these wrestlers.
I have really high hopes for this Jay Lethal vs. Chad Collyer match. I think that Collyer is one of the better pure or technical wrestlers out there. I'm not really a big fan of Lethal but I think that that is because I heard great things about him before I saw him in ROH and I was kind of let down when he came in. I still expect good things from this match though. I expect to see Lethal come through with the win in this one.
As for BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff vs. The Carnage Crew, I expect to see some Foley involvement in this one for some reason. In this match you have really the only people in ROH that anybody could consider to be hardcore going up against each other. IMo this will probably be the worst match of the night but even this will be pretty good.
The Four Corner Survival looks to be pretty good. Nigel Mcguinness is a wrestler that I really enjoy and despite being a pure wrestler he really adapts well to this fast paced environment. I'm also a big Roderick Strong fan and I believe that in a spot oriented match there are very few better than him. I expect McGuiness to walk away from this one the winner after comign off of a big win against Homicide.
Next up comes the huge 6 man tag team match. I never thought that I'd be saying this but thank god that Cabana isn't available for this show. If he were than we would have possibly seen him in this match. But since he wasn't we get to see Steve Corino is his return match in ROH. This should be a really good match as everyone in this match is technically sound with this exception of Jack Evans who well simply never ceases to amaze crowds with his high flying abilities. I really can't decide on who needs this win more, Gen Next or the Saints with Corino. Generation Next needs a few wins over the Saints to remain competitive but you need to build Corino for the next nights' title shot against Joe and Punk needs to be built up too because if ROH becomes big it will be with Punk as it's top star, not Joe.
In the second last matchup of the night, CM Punk does double duty going up against Homicide. Now these wrestlers are two are my favorite in the world so I'm really excited about this match. As is the case with all of Punk and Homicide's matches on this weekend both wrestlers could really use a win in this match. Cide has lost quite a few matches lately and it seems that he is no longer on par with his rival Samoa Joe and he very well could have dropped out of the main event picture all together. Punk like I said about the last match is the face of the future in ROH and currently he looks like a midcarder.
In the main event of the evening we have member of the Rottweilers and and one half of the tag team champion Havana Pitbulls, Rocky Romero going up against dominant ROH champion Samoa Joe. I have really high hopes for this match as I'm a fan of both workers. Some people might say that these wrestler's styles clash but I don't really think that's nessecarily a bad thing. I think that the contrasting styles provide in intresting dynamic and make for a really good match. Obviously Joe will pull out a win here but it should be stilll a good match to watch if nothing else to see if any of the Rottweilers get involved.
