Hey ppl whats up? I just want to get the scoop on Goldberg. Did he quit or got fired (i highly doubt he got fired though)? I was just curious, because he is the best there ever was.

Hey Joker77 - Raven,
Welcome to WrestlePower, and I hope you find time to post around the forums. Goldberg quit World Wrestling Entertainment, and it doesn't sound like he will ever be back. He is in a new movie that will be coming out later this year, I believe.

Yeah man, welcome, but this topic is kind of out of place here. Feel free to create a proper welcome thread. You may want to check the rules mate!

Also, his last match was with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XX. They both practically got booed out of the building for it being their last match. Stone Cold was the special guest referee and he had this big ol' grin at one point during the booing.

lol yeah, if you watched Wrestlemania XX live you could hear the fans chant "**** you" and "you sold out" to Lesnar. I don't know why but I could see that happening. :chuckles:

Thanks,

Don't forget the fact that the match absolutely sucked!

not to mention that Goldberg didnt have a single good match in WWE, even HHH couldnt carry him to a good match.

Back to Mania, despite being there i actually dont remember a single thing about this match. I do however remember the entire live audience being more captivated with a Hulk-Hogan impersonator in the stands, than in the match itself. Damn that hogan dude was cool.

Who says Goldberg had drawing power?

Duff I have to disagree with you bout the not having a good match in the WWE. Chris Jericho carried Goldberg to a passable match. With Goldy that's about as much as you can hope for. That being said I would have absolutely no problem with never seeing Goldberg in a wrestling ring again.

sorry Kid, but passable isnt good enough. Not when you are stealing main event spots from people who actually worked to deserve them and werent put there because they had previosly been hyped to the max by a now defunct organisation

Yeah true, just trying to give props to Jericho. I do agree though, if it took Eddie Guerreo and Chris Benoit went as long as they did without World titles than it's a real insult to have Goldberg win the championships within a few months of entering the company.

Hey man, that's just the way things are. Eddie and Chris weren't always big time on the mic. Chris just plain out isn't amazing on the mic (although he does have his moments every once in a while) and Eddie was just never given the chance to shine on the mic plus his size held him back, too.

Goldberg has that look and the intensity. I know that both Eddie and Chris are intense, too, but Goldberg just has that different kind of intensity. Plus he was a football player on Atlanta's team. That automatically gives him points with the fans no matter if he sucks or not.

Good points there Digger. Goldberg just plain looks scary and there's something about him that makes him being almost unstoppable rather believable. That's rare even with big men. Just look at Tyson Tomko. A big guy, but not intimidating one bit.
