Here are a few guidelines as to what is expected in this forum.

1) Absolutely NO flaming. there is a forum specifically for this. Its called "No Holds Barred"

3) No Spamming. The purpose of this forum is to relax, talk about non-wrestling related subjects and to get to know other posters. This does not mean that it is ok to spam in here

4) No racism or comments likely to cause offense. This includes insulting peoples race, sex, nationality, sexual orientation and religion. You all know what is and isnt acceptable. If you arent sure, Dont post it!

6) No Nudity. (Save that for the girls forum!)

7) No Advertising.

These are the rules. Everyone should familiarise themselves with them. This is being posted on April 7th 2004. If the rules change in any way then the date of the last post will be different. It is your responsibility to know the rules, not knowing them is not an excuse for breaking them!

Only Mods should be enforcing the rules. Please report a post to the Moderators if you think it is out of line. Remember, this is done in confidence, and your name will not be released as the person who reported the bad post.

Now that the lecture is out of the way, Let me welcome you to Chatter-Box. Have fun in here, as thats what this forum is all about. I hope to chat with all of you at some stage, and, uh nothing actually, cos i've run out of things to say :p

Celebration posts will only be allowed at 300 and 1000 for the forseeable future. Any threads celebrating anything else will be deleted and will be given a spam warning

Ok, i'm going to clarify what all falls under the title of spam:
1) Posting off-topic
2) one word or one sentence answers to a conversation or answers/comments that do not give reasons for your answer or comment
3) Double-posting, i.e if you have two consecutive posts in one thread
4) "bumping" a thread, i.e posting in a thread that hasn't been posted in, in over 30 days
5) Countinuously asking or posting the same thing
6) Mis-quoting some-one elses posts

There may be other things that i cant remember at the moment. Remember these are the things that I, personally, considor to be spam. Other mods and/or forums may have different interpretations.

If i think of anything else, i will edit this post and the thread title with the new details

to add to the spam rules:

7) Deliberately defyinga moderator when he/she tells you to stop mentioning something.

Please note: THESE RULES NOW APPLY THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE OF WRESTLEPOWER FORUMS, NOT JUST IN OFF-TOPIC

Following on from recent events, i want to re-iterate the no flaming rule in Off-Topic. Whether it be between e-buddies or not, flaming of any description will not be tolerated. The continuing aim of this site is to attract and retain new members. If any new guys were to see the current antics of some members in Off0Topic they may feel intimidated, which is not something i am happy with. With immediate effect we will be adopting a zero-tolerance policy to flaming.

Also, the only thread where spamming is allowed is the Chat thread. Posters are advised to keeo this in mind when replying to threads.

Yet again as a result of recent events i find myself updating the rules for this topic.

Off-Topic is a forum where ALL members should be able to come and join in fun discussions about trivial stuff outside of the boundaries of the squared circle. However, some people are treating it as their own personal message board. There have been instances too numerous to count, where peope have a one on one convesation which deliberately excludes others. These forums have a perfectly adequate private message function for conversations such as this, other than that i suggest you use MSN or a similar messenger program. Posts where people try to have a one on one conversation will be deleted and a warning will be issued as feelings of exclusion will not be tolerated on WP. I appreciate that there are times where there may be no-one else online, which is particularly relevant to our Australian members, and this i wholly understand. However, this is not the type of conversation i'm going to be cracking down on.

Those people i'm talking about know who they are!
