I know this won't really count for anything, but if anyone thinks we should have a media forum, where we upload matches/themes and post the links on here, and we download them, request media, that'd be really fun and interesting if we have an extensive media collection (*cough* like me *cough*).
So if anyone is behind me, reply in this thread.
Yeah, I have virtually every PPV from 1999-2003 So I could upload those, I also have a major collections of music, games etcetera but I believe it's bootlegging, and also illagal so, it might not be worth Jeopardizing WP, for some music and free videos :p We would need a disclaimer saying that WrestlePower is no way responsible for what is posted on the boards for this to work, even then it could put is in the line of fire.

as long as nobody says anything about it too anyone associated with the law, we are fine.

It's still a gamble I don't think WrestlePower should take, the stakes are awfully high, the authority could take the webmasters computer and deny them access to the internet, not to mention the federal law that could end him up in jail and/or a major fine.

I Don't need the links, I visit them quite often for media, but those are some of the few that have slipped through the cracks there are many that have been literally shut down by not only the law but by vBulletin as well, there's a slim chance and without a disclaimer we will get shut down for sure. Even our host has the right to shut us down for illegal activity, because they can get sued for allowing it to happen on their server so there are many things to consider and when it comes to it, it's a bad idea.
There's really no room for my comments, these are nothing more than my thoughts on the subject and I dont want to be caught up in anything so I'll quit while I'm ahead, I just hope the staff concludes the right decision.

You'l Be Fine as Long as You dont Upload the Match's. In independant Wrestling we have a Media Thread , Where we List the Matchs that we Have and send them Via MSN! Thats The only suggestion i can give to this Argument.

Well, bypassing the legal aspects of the issue even if it was a possibility, you are talking about full matches and evene PPV's which can run upwards of 700+MB depending on compression. 700+MB, that is more like an FTP server and not an HTTP server. So simply put until the site is big enough and is making some money to afford a dedicated server that wont even be a possibility :)
Thanks,
