From what I've cobbled together from various sites, the game has four game modes, three of which featuring in the trailer...
Gears of Zombie: The Chris Redfield sections, set in China, which are justified by Capcom bods saying RE5 was the best-selling installment of the franchise and their hopes to entice some CoD players over - in other words, the mode that ignores what long-time Resi players said they wanted from RE6 or, to put it another way, the one that focuses on what they hated in RE5.
Neo Raccoon City: The Leon Kennedy sections, with the zombie president. This is what Resi players wanted from RE6, and I couldn't help but notice a couple of audio cues that sounded similar to those in the first couple of games. If they get it right, it could well be RE2 on current gen technology.
New Guy: The (unnamed) mercenary seen in the trailer, escorting Ashley Graham whilst being pursued by some Nemesis-like creature, in a mash-up of RE3 & 4.
Ada Wong Mode: Not seen in the trailer, but confirmed by Capcom.
Of course, several characters are so far unaccounted for - Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Claire Redfield, Carlos Oliveira, Sheva Alomar, Hunk et al - so there may be other modes, or they could feature in any of the four aforementioned modes.
