I figured since there was no thread to discuss general stuff about games, I'd start one up. It's mainly because I had a gripe about Duke Nukem Forever, and didn't see anywhere else to put it. So, if you want to chat about games, and there isn't a thread for it, jump in here!

So anyway, Duke Nukem forever... It's a good game, but the amount of time you spend staring at loading screens is just obscene. It's like, 5 mins of gameplay between a different loading screens. Sheesh. I might be exagerating a tad though lol

No, I hate the game. The shooting is so awful it makes it hard to play. Plus the platforming is the worst.

The platforming stunk. Especially the gears bit during the dam section.

L.A Noire:

1 hour of playing - OMG This is the greatest game evar!!!!

5 hours of playing- Holy shieet, cant wait to mess up other serial killers!

10 hours - This is a fucken chore.



No Spoilers please as I'm still playing it, but yeah, they set up a great foundation for this game, but just could have been executed better. The only thing that keeps bringing me back are the performances and voice acting. I cant wait for L.A Noire 2 or another spin off of the game .. Since GTA5 was basically the foundation that led to Red Dead Redemption. I really wish other games would implement the facial expression system this game has... Would be amazing in a game like mass effect.

I really love LA Noire, but I will admit after the finale working homicide, it drags a bit.

LA Noire is an awesome game, right up until the finale in Homicide. The story is great, a mysterious killer doing the rounds, then bam... It all ends and the shit truly hits the fan for Cole. The Arson cases aren't anywhere near the calibre of the Homicide cases.

I'm finding myself going back through my games collection and playing games from years ago, like Saints Row and Saints Row 2. This isn't a bad thing.

So, I'm playing Smackdown vs. Raw 2011, during Chris Jericho's RtWM. There's a backstage match against Big Show, and the voices during the wrestling are the Diva voices... Wassup wit dat?! Lol

Hulk Hogan will voice Angel De LaMuerte, also a professional wrestler and leader of the Luchadores gang.


THQ’s Saint’s Row: The Third is sounding more like a cross between a muscle-bound beefcake and a porn star following news that former wrestler Hulk Hogan and former naked-person-of-note Sasha Grey will be joining the cast of voice actors. Hogan and Grey will be joining recurring cast member Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) and ought to up the ante for the kind of flashy fun the series is known for.

Dae Kim reprises his role as the now world-famous lookalike Johnny Gat, which is weird because, let's be real here, even Daniel Dae Kim isn't world-famous for looking like Daniel Dae Kim. Grey plays Viola DeWynter, a crime magnate characterized as “savvy, if not ruthless.” She looks a bit like Sasha Grey if you squint. Hogan plays Angel De LaMuerte, a former pro wrestler who, perplexingly, looks nothing like Hulk Hogan despite being basically the exact same person with “also he's a violent criminal” tacked on the end. Do you dig this kind of stunt-casting? If there's any game that deserves a cast of outspoken brawlers and porn stars, surely it's Saint's Row, right?
