WWE Films has confirmed pre-production of The Marine, reports the Hollywood Reporter. The film will star SmackDown's John Cena.
Cena will star as an injured marine who returns to find his girlfriend inadvertently caught up in a kidnapping.
Helmed by John Bonito, WWE will produce the film on a $15 million budget. Scouting has begun in Australia for a desired September filming launch date. 20th Century Fox is in talks to distribute the film.
Wow, John Cena in a movie. It looks like its in style for wrestlers to movies. First it was Jesse Ventura, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Goldberg, Nash, Austin (in Sandle's comedy movie), The Rock and John Cena. What does everyone think of Cena in a movie and would you go see it? I know I will just to see if he has some good acting abilities.
