The usual rundown of last week’s RAW is shown. Tonight RAW takes place in Batista’s hometown so expect him to get him the hometown pop. BTW they’re in DC.

Out comes HHH. HHH says he isn’t very proud of himself for last week. He has done lots of low things but his attack on Eugene was even low for him. Triple H goes on about how sick and rotten he felt after what he did. Triple H said after he thought about it he farted. He said once he got rid of it, it felt great, odd analogy. HHH tells Eugene who is at home to listen up. HHH says, “Eugene, I hate you.” HHH says he never liked you and evolution hates you also. HHH goes one-step further to say the fans hate Eugene. According to HHH Eugene’s mom is also ashamed of him. HHH says Eugene has no reason to be in the WWE. HHH shows some footage of last week what happened after RAW. Eugene is loaded onto a stretcher as HHH points out Regal and Benoit cried. HHH makes fun of the world champion crying. Out comes Eric Bischoff. Bischoff says he spoke with his sister and Eugene is gone from RAW thanks to him. Bischoff says if SD thinks their cage match was good then wait until next week. HHH and Benoit in a 60 minute Iron Man Match. I personally love Iron Man Matches so I like this. Bischoff gives HHH the night off but says Benoit will face Batista. Oddly enough Batista does get a hometown pop, I was only kidding. HHH talks about what he will do next week as a “you tapped out” chant interrupts him. Out comes Regal to a short but big pop. Regal says he hopes Eugene is watching because this is for you. Regal and HHH go at it. Regal tosses out HHH and attacks HHH on the outside. Regal tosses HHH into the steps as Bischoff calls for security. Regal brawls a little more as security pulls Regal to the back.

Late tonight: Orton vs. Edge for the IC title, I hope Edge loses. Also some Diva thingy.

Commercials- Hellboy comes out on DVD July 27th. I never got a chance to see it in theatre with Kill Bill 2 and the Punisher out at the same time but I do want to see it. The Benoit DVD also comes out on the same day. Yeah I admit it I mark down DVD release dates on my calendar.

Out comes La Resistance. Sylvain of course sings the Canadian national anthem. Out comes Tajiri and Rhyno. Tajiri starts a USA chant.

Sylvain Grenier vs. Tajiri with Rhyno

Tajiri starts out by using his speed to kick Sylvain from various spots. Robear distracts the ref as Sylvain hits a suplex. Sylvain chokes Tajiri in the ropes then hits a standing dropkick for 2. Sylvain locks in a sleeper. Tajiri escapes and is able to hit the handspring elbow for 2. Tajiri then hits superkick for 2. Had he tuned up the band it would have been a 3. Sylvain is locked into the tarantula but Robear breaks the hold. Sylvain then hits a face buster and grabs the tights for 3.

Winner: Sylvain Grenier

A WWE live event commercial is shown. But up next is the highlight reel with the 10 diva finalists. For some reason I watched the Thursday night special and I must say my picks are either Carmella or Christy. Carmella was in playboy and well yeah. Christy is just really, really hot. In fact both are hotter then any of the current WWE Divas.

Commercials

Jericho introduces the 10 Divas. Jericho says from 10 P.M. till 4 A.M. you can vote on WWE.COM. Jericho asks all the Diva’s their name and where they’re from. Pretty much all of the Divas get booed after they introduce themselves. I guess fans really don’t care about Divas. WOW I, I had no idea. Jericho says in Eric’s office there is an immunity envelope and the person who finds it can’t be voted off. OMG what is this survivor? Aside from the fans Jericho walks by the crowd is dead. Jericho leads the girls through the crowd backstage. Jericho checks and Bischoff isn’t in his office. All the girls tear up Bischoff’s office. Lots of girls get excited when they pick up a piece of paper and think they won, idiots. King asks what the envelope looks like. Perhaps it looks like an envelope King. Anyway several minutes later Bischoff walks in. Bischoff walks in and asks what’s going on. The girls give smart answers and Bischoff does a superb job of ad libbing. Bischoff says there is no immunity envelope. Bischoff asks who put them up to this. Bischoff lays into the girls really great proving why nobody works a better heel authority figure them himself. Bischoff kicks out all the girls.

Commercials

Tyson Tomko vs. Hurricane with Stacy Keibler

Hurricane starts out knocking out Tomko. Stacy bends over and Tomko looks at her ass. Hurricane then hits a baseball slide. Back in the ring Tomko takes over. Hurricane counters Tomko and hits an overcast in the corner. Hurricane goes off the ropes but Trish grabs his foot and Tomko hits a big boot for 3.

Winner: Tomko

Post match: Tomko goes after Stacy but out comes a full fledged Super Hero named Rosey who makes the save. He actually has a cool outfit but Rosey is a bad super hero name.

In the back: Flair is pumping up Batista when HHH walks up and wants to talk to Batista about his match and the 3 walk off.

Commercials

Back on RAW JR and King shill Flair’s book, which I own. King quotes what Flair said about Hart and Foley. Good job WWE I’m sure both of those guys appreciated that. King also says something like “you cant argue with that.” BTW King nobody read your book and you can’t argue with that.

Benoit vs. Batista- oddly enough Lillian doesn’t mention Batista is from DC. What a shame, he still got the hometown pop.

Batista starts off with a big shoulder block then some shoulder thrusts in the corner. Benoit comes back with 3 Germans. Benoit dropkicks Batista right in the gut. Batista comes back with a gut buster. Batista works on Benoit in the corner but Benoit comes back with a sharpshooter, which was of course mad famous by a man according to Flair didn’t draw. Anyway Batista escapes and takes Benoit outside. Batista sends Benoit into the post. Back in the ring Batista chokes Benoit for the 5 count. Batista hits a suplex then goes back to the choke. A small Batista chant breaks out. Batista hits some mounted punches as a large Benoit chant erupts. Batista and Benoit exchange shots but Batista hits a spinebuster then the mounted punches. Batista locks Benoit’s foot in the ropes. Batista goes outside then kicks Benoit’s head several times. The ref rings the bell.

Winner via DQ: Benoit

Post match: Benoit is freed but Batista hits a huge powerbomb in the ring to a huge pop from the hometown fans.

Commercials- Call me stupid but I didn’t realize that some kind of monster was in theatres as opposed to coming right out on DVD.

During the break: Benoit needed help getting out of the ring.

In the back: Lita walks up to Matt who is talking with a crew member. Matt tells Lita he doesn’t know where to stand with all of this. Lita tells Matt she loves him but will have the baby with or without him. I predict a miscarriage as usual.

In the back: Todd is interviewing Orton. Orton calls Edge a fluke. Up comes a very unwelcome Edge. Edge says he isn’t going to be a statistic on his shirt. Edge says Orton’s dad was nothing more then Piper’s bitch. Edge also says had his dad worn a condom instead of a cast we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. I don’t like Edge but that was funny. Orton then says after tonight Edge will be his bitch. IMO both are bitches.

WWE plugs the Diva search with a phone number to call and vote and online.

Commercials

For some unknown reason Rush’s “summertime blues” is the theme to Summerslam. I’m speechless simply speechless. For the rescord I hate Rush and welcome any hate mail from any Rush fan. But there is no way you can convince me summer time blues is a good PPV theme. Why not the new Velvet Revolver, Clutch or 1000 foot crutch songs?

Jericho vs. Kane

Kane starts off by beating down Jericho. Kane drops about 3 elbows for a 2 count. Jericho fights back but Kane hits a clothesline. Kane applies a camel clutch. Jericho dodges an attack from Kane and hits a top rope reverse elbow for 2. Jericho and Kane exchange punches. Jericho dropkicks Kane then tries for the walls but Kane overpowers him. Jericho then hits a bulldog. Jericho goes for a lionsault but Kane dodges, Jericho lands on his feet. Kane tosses out Jericho but Jericho sends Kane into the post. Jericho rolls back in but Kane doesn’t.

Winner via count out (WTF?) Jericho

Out comes Bischoff who reminds the ref the match it was supposed to be a falls count anywhere match.

Commercials

Back on RAW Jericho leaps onto Kane from the top to the floor for a 2. Kane comes back by sending Jericho into the barricade for a 2. Kane is now dragging Jericho through the crowd. Kane sends Jericho into another rail for 2. Kane tries to send Jericho into the hockey wall but Jericho hits a drop toe hold into the hockey wall. Jericho grabs the camera crane and slams it into Kane for 2 when Batista stops the count. Batista sends Batista into the hockey wall then clotheslines him into the wall as Kane covers Jericho for 3.

Post match: Batista poses in front of all of his fans.

Commercials

Lillian introduces some of the members of the US Military.

A recap of the Diva’s special is shown for some reason.

Coach is on the stage and plugs the WWEE Diva search. This is getting a little annoying. He brings out the Divas in bikinis. This brings us to the SD rebound. Speaking of SD I am so pumped for the Cena/Reigns match this week.

Commercials

Randy Orton vs. Edge for the IC title

Here is a funny conversation before I begin.

JR: Earlier we saw Edge berate Bob Orton.
King: No JR Edge downright insulted Bob Orton.
JR: Do you own a dictionary? Do you even know what words mean? HAHAHA JR win.

Both men are evenly matched. Edge does get an early advantage and works one Orton’s right arm. Orton comes back with an uppercut then the 3.0 neckbreaker. On the outside Orton hits a backdrop over the top of the barricade. Back in the ring Orton poses to many boos as we cut to the last commercial.

Commercials

Back on RAW Orton is beating down Edge for a 2. Orton then locks in a camel clutch. Edge escapes and both men go off the ropes and each hit a cross body block. Both men are on their feet and exchange punches. Orton goes off the ropes and Edge hits a big boot for 2. Orton comes back with a dropkick for 2. Orton goes up top but misses the cross body frog splash. Edge tries a quick cover for 2. Edge puts Orton over the top rope then spears his lower back sending Orton into the barricade. Edge goes up top and nails a missile dropkick for 2. Edge sets up for a spear and misses but gets off the Edge-O-Matic for 2. Edge goes up top once again and hits a spear off the top on the ref. Orton nails a thumb to the eye then goes out to grab a chair. I bet Edge cheats again. Edge hits the spear but there is no ref. Edge picks up Orton but gets low blowed then RKO’ed but only a 2. The fans give that a mixed reaction. Orton picks up Edge by the pants and shows everyone Edge’s thong. Edge counters Orton with a spear for… A 2! A large Randy chant erupts. Orton tries an RKO but Edge counters with a backslide with his feet on the ropes for 3. I told you Edge would cheat to win.

Winner via cheating like a wuss: Edge

Post match: JR says that was the best match on RAW ever. Didn’t they say that about a match a few weeks ago? He sounds like Schavone.

RAW MVP: Eric Bischoff for his great mic work.
RAW LVP: Edge for his great cheating skills.

Line of the night: “Messing with me is the dumbest thing any of you girls could have done, but judging by the look of all of you that’s not saying too much.” – Bischoff when tearing into the Diva finalists.

I have a closer recollection of the funny exchange between JR and King.

JR: Earlier we saw Edge invoke Orton's father Bob Orton.

King: No, JR Edge downright insulted Bob Orton.

JR: Do you own a dictionary? Do you even know what damn words mean?

I'll come and post my Raw reflections later on. It was a decent show, I can say right now.

Ahhhhhhhhhh............so another Raw has come and gone. So, what did yours truly think of the show? Read on.

Opening segment: Ummmmm, maybe I missed something here. But, aren't we just like three weeks away from SummerSlam? I thought we were, and yet, Raw has not announced any matches for the card. I honestly felt that when HHH walked out that Eugene was gonna come out and somehow Hunter would convince Eugene that he was sorry for what he did, and that he still considered Eugene his friend. What we got was a lame ass promo from Hunter and we learned that Eugene has quit the WWE (or at least that's what Eric told us). I find myself debating whether the Ironman match scheduled for next week is a good thing. See, I would save that for SummerSlam, but I guess with both brands being on the show, that would be very hard to do. So, as a treat, we get to see this match happen next week. Now, here is the thing. Will the WWE do the obvious and have Eugene come out and cost Hunter his match next week, prompting a Eugene/HHH match at SummerSlam? Or, will they have Eugene show up and shock everyone and turn on Benoit and help Hunter win the title? I really can't see Eugene turning heel, and it really would make no sense at all to do that. But, I think it is clearly obvious that Benoit will win next week because of Eugene, which really is not a good thing for the champ. Benoit needs to beat Hunter cleanly, but that probably won't happen. In any case, Hunter is still the center piece of Raw when Benoit should be in that position. He is the champ, after all.

Tomko vs. Hurricane: Rosey is now a superhero! Yeah! Thank God he got rid of that stupid costume by getting.....................a grimace costume! Stacy looked good, as always. Oh, and the match. Well, Tomko is in way over his head and clearly needs to go back to OVW, but that won't happen seeing as how he went over clean on Hurricane. I only hope that either Rosey and Cane become a serious threat for the tag titles, or Rosey turns on Cane and goes heel. I hope they team up, as it would give the tag team division more strength.

Raw Diva Search: You all know how I feel about this contest, but thank goodness Jericho was there to give it some life. The girls searching for the immunity letter in Eric's office was funny..........for the first few sceonds. All of the ladies are beautiful, and I honestly don't put any blame on them for this contest. But, for the second week in a row, the fans let Vince know what they thought of this contest with there "boring" chants. Wake up, Vince!

Batista vs. Benoit: I think it was obvious that the night belonged to big Dave. And why not? He was....after all........in his home town. First for Dave was a beat down on Benoit, by order of HHH. The match served its' purpose, which was to make Batista look like a monster, and to hurt Benoit and make it seem that his title would be in serious jeopardy come next week. Not one time did Dave try to pin Chris, and that really put the match over as far as it being a simple plan of destruction.

Kane vs. Jericho: this match wasn't really all that great. But then, Y2J won by a countout and Eric Bischoff made his way out to say that the match was a falls count anywhere match. Basically, Eric was getting revenge on Chris for the Diva's tearing up Bischoff's office. Now, things got interesting but we had to go to commercial. We come back and we get some good high spots, but I wish that they hadn't had gone to commercial. Jericho seemed to have this match won..........until big Dave showed up and beat up Jericho. Thank goodness there feud is continuing, because I actually like it. I see why Dave beat Chris at Vengeance, and clearly Vince wants to establish Dave. Well, he accomplished that tonight. Kane wins and is now stuck in mid-card hell, until HBK returns to feud with him.

Regal's promo: I skipped this, because I had forgotten about it. I actually liked Regal's promo, and the fans were actually behind him because he was standing up for Eugene. I have always been a fan of Regal. His style is different from others in wrestling, but he is a solid talent that given the right gimmick can be a major player for the WWE.

Tajiri vs. Grenier: Rhyno and Tajiri make an interesting tag team, and it looks like they will be next in line to fight the champs. Match was okay, but Grenier missed a spot that came off looking really bad on tv. I know nobody is perfect, but it still looked bad. Grenier winning was not the best call in my book. Tajiri should have won which would have prompted La Resistance to get mad and would also give Rhyno and Tajiri the right to challenge them for the belts. All I can say is that I am happy the tag team belts are getting some tv time, because they need it.

Orton vs. Edge: very good main event, but mostly due to Orton. He made Edge look good last night. I never thought I would say that about Orton, but it is the truth. Edge winning the way he did was nice, as it really seems that Edge is using "heel" tactics to outsmart his competition. This could mean the beginning of a heel turn for Edge, which would be a good call. Him cheating Orton was fun to see, and Orton played it off really well.

Overall, this week's show was better than the past few shows, but I still question not already having one or two matches set for SummerSlam. I give it a 6/10.

The opening of Raw saw Triple H coming out and cutting a promo about the situation with Eugene. I won’t go into much detail about the promo, but I will say that farts were mentioned. I just can’t wait until Hunter wins back the World title. I mean, who can dispute that the guy is more charismatic and talented on the mic than Benoit? And besides, he’s the center of the show either way, so why not make him champ so it makes sense? Maybe that’s part of H’s master plan as well. It came out nice although I would love if it Chris Benoit came out, hyped next week’s main-event and respond to Hunter’s berating him for crying. But then again, we’re not trying to make Benoit look like the champ, remember?

I do like the idea of the Iron man match next week for the title between Benoit and Hunter. I think the two will put on a show, but as Chazz said, I don’t see Chris Benoit pulling off a clean win over Hunter which is a shame. But I predict the retarded superstar will come back next week and cost Hunter the match. But I don’t think it’d lead to a match between Hunter and Eugene at The Slam. That’d just be silly.

Sylvan Grenier defeated Tajiri. God, I hate Rob Conway. God, I hate the Raw tag division scene right now. I’m an ardent supporter to just suspend the damn belts. Let the two teams they have now just float in and out, here and there, on Sunday Night Heat and Raw. The belts are useless and the feud between La Resistance and Rhyno/Tajiri is boring and stale. As I said before someplace else, I’d rather see Rhyno and Tajiri in singles comp. When, in the name of God, are we going to get away from two random superstars, who have much more potential as singles competitors, with no gimmick, with no angle, just being placed together for a short stint as champions? When goddamnit?!

I couldn’t less about the Divas Search contest and I won’t say a word more about that garbage.

Tyson defeats Hurricane. I do see Tyson Tomko trying to improve and coming into his own in upcoming weeks. I guess I’m being a little too generous, but I also don’t want to see another angle dropped without no proper building or warning. Hell, Bradshaw’s the World champ over on SD, so why can Tyson stay? Despite what anyone says, I’d watch him on TV any day before *shudders* Maven or *cringes* Garrison Cade. Rosey’s sudden emergence as a genuine superhero sucked last night. He made his superhero debut to save Hurricane? Where was the build? This is something that’s been going for a year I think, and out of nowhere … Rosey graduates! Man that sucks.

Batista’s night. So Batista destroys the World’s champion Benoit and gives Kane a victory over Chris Jericho, huh? Well, the WWE has wussed out one monster and pumped up another. Kane’s out. Batista’s in. Batista’s beating on Benoit was necessary and served a purpose. It would have been even better had Benoit came out with H at the start of the show and took a shot at Batista or something, but what can you do? Please tell me I wasn’t the only that thought Kane looked like a ***** last night? He beat Jericho thanks to Batista. But to do this, Kane crawled on the ground and made a sloppy cover over Jericho, as Batista stood proud and dominantly overhead. Kane looked like such a bitch last night.

Randy Orton/Edge for the IC gold. The backstage segment between these two was gold last night. I absolutely hate to admit, but I thought Edge looked like he’s going to be in the mid-card for a long time to come. Anyway, I’m happy to see that Edge ditched the “I’m angry at the world” thing he’s had since he returned and reverted to the sarcastic and funny Edge that we all know and love. The actual match though was a borefest, I’m sorry to say. I thought their match at Vengeance was great, but maybe that’s because I feel asleep the first 10 minutes of it? But yes, I found the match to be quite boring and was insulted by JR’s constant assertion that the match was a classic. You have got to be ****ing kidding me.

I’d give Raw a 5.5 because of the lack of building toward the Summerslam event. I hope I'm wrong, but I see the Summerslam building for the Raw side (Strangely I don't feel the same as far as SD's concerned) to be as bad as the building for the G.A. Bash and Vengeance ... and Bad Blood ... and Judgement Day.

Well here are the things that you didn't see on Raw.

Credit goes to TheTurnbuckle.com

Here's the results before the Raw show, at Washington DC's MCI Center.

Only one dark match before Heat, Rodney Mack defeated Mike Bucci. (Crowd got behind Bucci somewhat. I guess some people remembered him from his ECW days.)

Sunday Night Heat:

Val Venis defeated Steven Richards, with the money shot.

Maven defeated Chuck Palumbo, after a whip reserval into the corner. Then Maven sunset flipped him out of the corner, and pinned him. Palumbo was in khaki pants. I'm not sure if that's his new ring outfit, or maybe he lost his luggage, and had no trunks to wear?

Victoria defeated Jazz, after Steven Richards (in drag), attacked Jazz from behind.

During Raw, crowd booed the Diva contestants, as they were being introduced. Crowd also hated the Divas backstage segment.

After Raw went off the air, after Edge went up the ramp, he took off Jim Ross' hat, did a funny walk, and then walked back through the curtains with it on.

I give RAW a 7/10 this week. The only things I didn't like about the show this week was when Kane looked like a little ***** against Jericho. Kane and Jericho shoulden't be taking this, they deserve a lot more. Also there are no matches made for Summerslam yet.

Well rumors have it that Chris Benoit would face Randy Orton for the World Title while Triple H will be facing Eugene. But thats just some of many rumors I have heard.
