Loved last week's 200th episode where they teased the Mohammed controversy again but I hear that they've chickened out in episode 201. It's on here tomorrow but I'll be watching what is still the sharpest funniest satire anywhere on TV.

Yeah they bleeped out the word Mohammed in this week's episode, but they make it work later in the episode.

Downloading the episode as we speak.
The fundamentalists piss me off, bunch of hypocrites the whole bunch of them, they didnt have a problem when Mohammed was going around with his super awesome fire powers in the super-friends episode, but get their bombs ready for this episode.... Maybe they didnt have internet or tv back when Super-Friends aired.

Well, whadd'ya know. Comedy Central chickened out of even showing 201 in the UK. No explanation. We just got a repeat of the Tiger Woods episode. Dunno if they'e showing a 'modified' version this Friday, or whether they'll just pretend 201 never got made. Am I pissed off? Absolutely. Not at Stone and Parker who made the episode, but at Comedy Central for having no balls whatsoever. No comedy should be off limits.
Incidentally, there was a fuss in the UK this weekend because some wag at the Foreign Office suggested that, at the Pope's visit to the UK this year, he should be offered the chance to open an abortion clinic, or promote 'Benedict' brand condoms, maybe even speak at a child abuse seminar. OK, it's not the cleverest satire but some newspapers have had front page canaries demanding heads should roll etc. BOLLOCKS!!!! It really pisses me off that anyone should feel threatened for telling jokes about anything they like.
So, here's an addition to my signature that's not intended to offend Muslims. It's intended to offend intolerant bigots everywhere.

Can anyone tell me what happened in the last minute of 200? My DVR cut it off since Comedy Central are too damn disorganized to block their shows properly.

Ken, you can download the episode off torrents, thats what I did. Though, I think its the version aired in the US because of the fucking bleeps and one extremely long bleep that cuts out the usual stan and Kyle going ''I learned something today'' . They cut that part out even though there was no reference to the word ''Mohammed'' at all, it was really messed up, even brought down the quality of the episode.
Edit - Heres the statement by Stone and Parker
A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.
Judge - All the celebs decide to activate Mecha-Streisand and then tell her that they're gonna go take on the town on south park and that she should join them, which she accepts. It cuts to the next scene where Cartman goes to meet Mr. Garrison, he demands to know the truth but Garrison tries to avoid the topic, but then Cartman finally demands that Garrison brings out Mr. Hat so that he could Mr. Hat instead.
Then it cuts to the town, where the ginger army has gathered to take Mohammed in the bear costume, the gingers demand that the bear costume be taken off so that they can see if its the real Mohammed but all the townsfolk refuse because they cant show mohammed lol. And the Gingers then fire back saying show them thats it Mohammed or they will blow southpark away.
The scene cuts back to Cartman. Mr. Hat now present - Mr. Hat tells Cartman/Mitch Connor that the day of Cartmans dad's DNA test, the dad was present in the room, but the results were tampered with and Cartman then demands from Garrison who his father was ... and it ends with that as a cliff hanger.

Shit, so it did end right there? On mine he said Who is my father or some shit and then the episode just goes END, I was like WHAT THE FUCK?!
Okay so wait, the next episode is not airing then or is it just airing censored? This happens every time they mention Tom Cruise damn it!

Yeah haha, it ended with Cartman saying that ... Even I thought the same thing at first, but 201 picks it up right where it left off... Just a very annoying cliff hanger haha.
Have you seen 201 yet TJ? I'm sure it's already aired (although with censors and bleeps lol), because otherwise it wouldnt be available on torrents.

I don't think so no, but I'm probably just behind. Been working overtime for like 2 weeks so behind on every show except Lost right now.
I didn't know if it ended on that part because Comedy Central fuck up and end their shows early, like, constantly. Lol.

When watching 201 and they bleeped out all of the speeches at the end, I honestly cracked the hell up because I thought it was another gag by Parker and Stone. I'm actually kinda upset that it wasn't supposed to happen.

I caught 201 on the net but my complaint about them chickening out in the UK stands. They could have made the bleeping and 'censored' box part of the gag but what were they bleeping out the 'I learned something today' bit for? As T Dog says, there's no mention of Mohammed apparently and nothing that could offend anyone unless being told that if you act like a dick, someone will rip on you for being a dick is offensive.
I hope they publish the script online - surely Stone and Parker own the copyright for that, not Comedy Central?

I absolutely understand the "boxing" out part of the gag. It was also kinda important because it made it possible to tell that Tom Cruise got the Goo. But, on first watch, I had no idea that the "I learned something today" speeches made no mention of Muhammad, and even if they didn't, I thought it was Parker and Stone ripping on censorship in general. What made me believing that even easier was the fact that like 4 different people had whole speeches bleeped out, so I had no idea that it wasn't intentional.

I'm confused... Was the first episode censored at all in the U.S?
I watched 200 on TV (after watching it online for ages, I realised we're only like 2 days behind, so it's better to see on a TV) but then was bored on the night it aired in U.S. so watched 201 online.
To begin with, with the bleeping on the name, I assumed that 200 must have been like that as well in U.S. as generally they/you are a bit more sensitive to censorship but toward the end (especially after the Tom Cruise box out) I assumed it was all part of the joke (but wondered why they hadn't done that in 200 as well)... I hadn't even realised it didn't air in the U.K! I was planning on checking it out (as I V+ it anyway)... Hmm... I'd imagine the DVD will be uncensored.

200 was broadcast unbleeped in both UK and USA, 201 was broadcast bleeped in the US and not at all in the UK. I'll watch tomorrow and see if we get any announcement before they then show (presumably) 202. I think they'll just try and forget all about it though. PUSSIES!!!!!!
