NEW Avatars!

As you'll soon notice, if you haven't already, I am starting to add some brand new avatars to the WP avatar gallery and they're a little different this time around.

Obviously, they are much larger than the old 100x100 avs which I personally think is a great improvement for several reasons. It allows me to have more freedom with the images and text I use, meaning text can be more legible and the images can be of top quality. I just generally believe it improves the look of the avatar as a whole, as well as adding to WP's fresh, new look. On top of this, I'm trying to find the best images I can. I really want to make sure these avs pop out of the screen, and to for that impact I need top quality images and I hope I can find some to suit everyone's favourite superstars.

Hopefully you'll all agree that this is change is one for the better. But if not, the old avs will still be there for you to use. It should also be noted that custom avs will still be limited ot the size of 100x100, so if you want a larger av you will have to select one from collection.

Right now the amount of these avatars is somewhat limited, but I'm increasing them as I go. (And thanks for the offer, but I don't need any help making them.)

Okay, here are some of the avs I've added so far. WWE's website was acting weird for me last night so most of them are TNA for now, but I'll sort mend that soon.

Hopefully you can see my point about the images standing out and making and impact. If not, then lemme know. I want these Avs to be superawesome.

I'm starting to imagine WPW/EWE avs will probably be more welcomed than general ones, if I'm honest. Might be best to do them first...

I think the custom avatars should also be increased. In the past 100x100 was great because screen resolutions were at 800x600, but nowadays the screen resolutions are huge and you really can't notice 100x100 on a 27 inch monitor

Ok update, I change the custom avatar size to snowy's size 160x200. You guys can have what you like. I know I'm awesome. (Expects kick ass one avatar from Jesse)

What the hell? There were several reasons for that not happening, APG, and I'd appreciate it if you put it back.

Edit: Update; I changed the avatar size back. I know, I'm an asshole, but there are reasons for it believe it or not. Oh and any action I took with these avatar changes was actually discussed with other staff members first instead of just doing it without consulting anyone.

Anyway, to repeat what I said in Staff to the members, I like the idea of having a collection of Avs for each GFX guy. Like you can have an avatar from the Jesse Long Collection or the Martin Cameron Collection. Make us guys feel like Lawrence Llowelyn Bohen(sp?). The design wouldn't vary much, maybe just a colour change of the logo and the border or something. Might be kinda nice :)

If you're asking if you can use one of the older avatars then of course! You're free to pick from any of the avatars in the gallery, or upload one yourself. (Custom avatar has to be 100x100 pixels though)

These new avatars were just to give people more options, they don't need to be used.
