From Twitter:
"RT @TNA_FANS: HULK HOGAN confirms "Mr. Monday Night" RVD has signed with TNA Wrestling! http://bit.ly/cZ9HmK @SPIKE_TV"

At the 2 Minute Mark, that motion Hulk makes, looks oddly familiar. If that is the case, is that one of Hulk's first big signings?
Interesting to me...

Is this really a big signing or yet another ECW attempted rebirth? Seriously...

Those two things are not mutually exclusive, nor are they really relevant to each other. TNA's motives behind signing RVD, or what they intend to do with him, doesn't change the fact that this is a fairly big deal. RVD's a massive fan favourite, and there are plenty of people who will tune in to see him so yes; this is a big signing. Whether or not this is an "attempted rebirth" of ECW, does not change that.

I wasn't going to post this with the intention of not ruining Monday Night but meh. I think this is awesome for TNA, and for Rob, and for the fans in general. RVD has always been one of my favourites and he is extremely unique in the ring. I think TNA could do great things with RVD, I can see him going in against Anderson and those two putting on a great fued.

Point taken, Andrew. Changed the name of Guru's thread to be more subtle.

I think they should take a step back and realize the more and more they sign these "big name" talents they are shoving back their homegrown talent. Hell they have already buried the X-Division.

It's cool, I only changed it because I felt Andrew made a fair point. Probably best not to spoil it for anyone. (I don't really care myself anymore)

Given TNA makes any big arrival look like Just Another Guy within three weeks, they better come right out of the blocks with an RVD vs AJ feud whilst it's viable.

Too much? The nice thing about TNA was that it wasn't the WWE. Now it's the WWE plus AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, the knockout division and........um.......that's about it. I'd hate to see guys like Jay Lethal, Kaz, Eric Young, even Abyss reduced to jobbing to the latest WWE guy to turn up. So........RVD.........quality performer but don't give him the X division title for 6 months at least. I still wonder about the length of contract for the likes of RVD, Val Venis, Brian Kendrick, Orlando Jones. I'd be surprised if they were much longer than 6 months. Half of them'll be gone within the year, surely?

Wonder no more about The Big Valboski, he got cutskied already.

TNA star Sean Morley AKA Val Venis and TNA Knockout Roxxi have both been removed from TNA's roster page. Morley appeared on last night's TNA Impact. No word yet on whether they have been released by the company.

I was just going to say I seen him on Impact last night. Roxxi cut too? Hmmm making room for RVD and other high money superstars I see.

In the last month or so, TNA have cut/lost Alissa Flash, Awesome Kong, Traci Brooks and now Roxxi. In other words, SHIMMER are getting a bunch of their roster back.
Interestingly, it appears Venis wasn't cut, judging by his Facebook page:
Yes folks, I am now through for now with TNA as I want to wrestle in Mexico. I was going to perform in both TNA and CMLL but now with the switch to Mondays for TNA, and the fact that TNA had nothing solid yet, Mexico here I come!
Last year it was the X Division that was cut to free up funds, now it's the Knockouts division that has been hit hardest - expect the next wave of departures to include MCMG and Beer Money at this rate...
Mr. Hendrickson

MCMG and Beer Money would eb a big loss to TNA wrestling. No gain to the E though. Ithink that the knockout division needed to be thinned out as they don't show much of them these days anyways.

I genuinly had a dream last night of Shelley and Sabin winning the Knockouts Tag titles.
It was AWESOME.

MCMG are booked for ROH's NYC show on May 9th, which is a tease and a half (and also implies they'll be letting talent work more indy dates due to their spots being swallowed up by Hogan's cronies...)
WWE were looking at Roode years back, when Team Canada first made their TNA debut, so Beer Money may be on their radar should they become available - especially since Vince Russo described them as "expendible" (although Roode is contracted for at least three more years)
Mr. Hendrickson

It's funny to see that Russo thinks someone with talent is expendable and yet he is the one who should be expendable. Nonetheless I think if Beer Money went to the E they would seperate them the first chance they get and then bury them, not as bad as TNA is doing but bad enough.

The fact that Russo can even get a job in pro wrestling after WCW is just plain sad. Let's not forget how they buried RVD in his debut and Taz SPOILING it before it even happened.... I've got more hope for the St. Louis Rams to get a winning season than I do for TNA to be around in the new year or so

The fact that iMPACT now takes up about 120% of Maffew's botchamania vids speaks volumes. It's even gotten to the point where Maffew can post entire videos dedicated to an edition of iMPACT and at the end of it I'm thinking "...He actually missed some stuff out."
