New Code Of Honor

The Code Of Honor has been the basis of ROH since its inception. It was made up of five Laws Of Honor that demand sportsmanship, respect and honor inside the wrestling ring. Over the course of the last two years, ROH has undergone changes. Feuds have erupted, personalities clashed and soon the athletes were driven by more than a desire to present the best athletic matches, they were driven by hatred and anger. Before the Laws Of Honor were perceived as rules, now they serve a different purpose. It will no longer be required that the Code Of Honor is followed, but it will still measure what kind of character you possess. Those that follow the path of sportsmanship and respect will follow the Code. Arrogant, selfish individuals with low morals will break the Code. One of the major changes in the Code Of Honor is that it is no longer required for competitors to shake hands before and after the match. However, if you respect your opponent, the match you will or just had against him and ROH tradition, an athlete will still shake hands before and after the match. The new three Laws Of Honor, which can be the considered the commandments of ROH, are:

--Shake hands with your opponent(s) before and after the match.
--Respect the referees and officials.
--Keep the playing field fair and balanced (this means no sneak attacks, no interfering, no allowing interference, no doing anything unfair that can turn the tide or effect the outcome of a match since the winners of all ROH matches should only be determined by true skill).

The new Code Of Honor will still serve the same purpose of making sure that you will witness the best athletic wrestling going today with clear winners and losers. ROH will always be based on wrestling as a sport. Now the new Code Of Honor will allow us to see everyone’s true colors.

I like that ROH focuses on actual wrestling rather than lots of run ins and not clean finishes but I don't think that these changes really affect that too much. They just basically took out some technicallities.

Damn. I liked the old one better. I liked having to shake hands better. It shows respect. But its no big deal.

It's great to see you back posting here Cody, but you're a little late on this one. lol. I posted this thread the other day. Is there anyway that a SMOD or Gary could merge them?
