WWE SMACKDOWN
FROM FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
CROWN COLISEUM

Match#1
Jerry Lynn vs. Akio

Jerry Lynn returned to the WWE when Teddy Long announced at The Great American Bash that he had signed a new cruiserweight. That cruiserweight turned out to be Lynn, who makes his in-ring WWE return this Thursday against Akio. Akio is no slouch and this is his first opportunity to impress GM Long. Match should be a good one.

Match#2
Two-on-one encounter
Mark Jindrak & ? vs. Billy Gunn

This rivalry started to heat up this past Sunday when these two men went after one another, and it ultimately cost them a chance to win the battle royal. Gunn has been in Long's doghouse for some reason, while Jindrak seems to be the "Golden Boy". Long made this match during the GAB, but who Jindrak's partner is is still a mystery. Who will it be? And can Gunn survive this two-on-one encounter?

Match#3
Cruiserweight Championship Re-Match
Brian Christopher(c) vs. Chavo Classic

Classic looks to get his Cruiserweight title back, after Sexay (who know wishes to be known as Brian Christopher) beat him. These men had one heck of a match at the Bash, and no doubt the re-match will be a good one. And what about Scotty? Scotty sad that he will give Christopher another chance to come around. Scotty will be in Fayetteville, and this should be an interesting development.

Match#4
Tag Team Match (Non-Title)
Dudley Boys vs. The FBI

The Dudley's successfully defended their titles beating Rico and Haas. However, their celebration was short lived as the FBI stormed the ring and took it to the champs. Heyman demanded this match and Long approved it. Obviously the FBI were none too pleased that Heyman did not pay them the money for beating on Rico and Haas at last weeks Smackdown. A victory for the FBI over the champs could propel them into a title shot. This one should be a slobberknocker.

Match#6
Main Event
United States Championship
Chavo Guererro(c) vs. Rey Mysterio

The Bash was kind to both men. Chavo beat Kurt Angle and John Cena to become the new, United States Champion, albeit with a little controversy. Mysterio defeated nine others to win the battle royal and get a US title shot this week. Both men are not strangers to one another, as they have had classic battles in the past. This one should prove to be no different.

Other Note:

John Cena lost his US title thanks in part to Kurt Angle. Cena and Angle have a heated rivalry going and both men will be in Fayetteville. It is not a matter of if they collide, but rather when they do and how bad will it get.

Taker placed JBL in a casket after he beat JBL. Where Taker went with the casket and what happened to JBL is anybodies guess. Tune in as Taker is scheduled to be in Fayetteville.

RVD and Renee Dupree had a match to remember at the Bash. Both men had to be helped out of the ring after the war these two endured. Both men will be in Fayetteville.

Eddie Guererro will also be at Smackdown as he is still the WWE Champion. But Booker T was very close to winning the belt, and no doubt these two will collide in Fayetteville.
