Well, another edition of Raw has come and gone, so here are my thoughts on last nights show. Does contain spoilers.
Main Event: First of all, let me say that I like Kane when he is destroying any and everything in his path. I think he shines in this role, and it shows. But, I think it was pretty obvious that there was no way he was walking out of Raw last night with the title. WWE is doing its' best in making Benoit a credible champion, and they have succeeded. Benoit is a fighting champion, and last night he had everything stacked against him because the only way he could win was by making Kane tap. I knew as soon as the deck was stacked against him, that he would make Kane tap......and he did. The match was good and had a good flow to it. Now, we will get to see Benoit vs. HHH, one-on-one for the title....which HHH will win. I just don't see HHH putting Benoit over once again, as it is time for Benoit to return the favor. Another reason I say this is because HHH will eventually drop the belt to Y2J (Who is on his way towards a monster push).
Now, let's talk about Kane. Never in my life have I seen a guy get bounced around as much as he has. He has gone from main event to a horrible story in the span of a month. The guy deserves better. That is all I will say. I think people know what I am saying.
Jericho/Edge vs. Orton/Batista: Well, with Shelton injured, Edge has stepped in to challenge for the IC title. This is a good call and if Edge does beat Randy, I wouldn't be against it. I think Edge could handle being the IC champ, and I think it would be a good thing for him right now. Randy has held the belt for long enough, and is ready for bigger things. It is now official that Jericho will meet Batista at Vengeance. Dave is ready for a high profile match like this. I know he faced HBK back at Armageddon, but Dave wasn't ready for that one. He is now, and putting him in the ring with Jericho is a good call. Jericho should win as he is in the beginning of a monster push. Anyway, the tag match last night was solid and all four men did an excellent job.
Sgt. Slaughter: Hey, I love the guy, and it is always good to see him every once in awhile. La Resistance pinning him was a good call to help establish themselves as a solid tag team. Just sad that Rhyno has to resort to this when he could be so much more.
Lita: Well........she looked good in her outfit last night. :winkok:
Eugene/HHH: This is just fun to watch, but I fear Eugene won't last much longer. Where will he go after this all ends? I just feel he is getting way too much, too soon.
Where was the Women's Champion? Trish needs tv time to keep the belt and the women's division in people's minds. Maybe the WWE realizes that giving her the title was a mistake, as she just isn't cutting it as a heel.
Raw this week was a good show. I'll give it a 6/10.

LMAO, I posted the same thread not seeing yours...can you delete it for me after I copy and paste my stuff to this one or close it mr. Mod...:chuckles: .
EDIT: My Raw thoughts (didn't see this thread while posting mines so hopefully a mod can delete it for me)
This Raw continued the string of weirdly booked episodes. I guess they don't see these stupid angles ruining the show
Highs
HHH's opening promo - While it went far too long I feel he did a good job of getting across his point. I don't like that Orton didn't get any time on the mic to sell his feud with Edge which they just seemed to pick back up out of nowhere.
Randy Orton and Batista vs. Jericho and Edge - The rematch was just as good as last week or even better. I was scared for Orton when he flew out of the ring like that. Luckily nothing disastrous happened. Now all they have to do is sell the Batista/Jericho and Orton/Edge feuds because it's apparent that they hadn't planned ahead seeing that Vengeance is a week away and matches are just being announced. They're gonna have to do a good job with next weeks hard sell to get these feuds over because there is no doubt that both matches will deliver.
Fire alarm - The fans chanted Y2J to the beat of the alarm. :chuckles: Nuff said.
Ross/Kane segment - Kane wanting a baby is the only thing that was stupid about the segment but all else was solid. Kane is doing the best with the crap the "creative" team is giving him.
Chris Benoit/Kane - Match was very solid. I know they're trying to build credibility for Benoit but at the expense of another character you're building? If they want to build Benoit as champ why not try having him on the show for more than one freakin' segment.
Regal/HHH - While too short to amount to anything, the match was ok while it was going and the segment accomplished just what they wanted it to. I guess it will be Eugene/Regal at Vengeance. Should be entertaining.
Lows
Lita/Stacy segment - Geez Lita and Torrie are now tied for worst actresses in the WWE. If they were going to do a stupid storyline like this they could atleast be original. Stupid booking of the WWE continues.
La Resistance vs. Rhyno and Slaughter - This match really did nothing for any of the men involved. Rhyno's push is nonexistent which is a shame given how talented he is. They might as well put him on SD in Heyman's stable so that he can actually be used effectively and save that sinking ship. La Resistance's gimmick is going absolutely nowhere. What the **** is with this company? They give these guys the tag titles by having them beating Benoit and Edge which should have given them a permanent spot on Raw every week (don't know why they weren't there last week) yet they don't care to try and establish their characters past hating Americans and singing their national anthem. They might as well drop their gimmick because this comany has no clue on how to use a gimmick without shoving one part of it down the fans throats.
Matt Hardy - Why exactly did they trade him to Raw? He was one of the best heels SD had and was beginning to move into the US title picture but moves to Raw and this is what happens to him? I don't think there is any salvaging his character on this point. He needs a mask more than Kane ever did now.
In Between
Eugene - The Eugene character is one of the best things on Raw right now and I like that Nick Dinsmore is getting his chance to shine but they have passed the point of overpushed. Interim GM for a night? The WWE is overusing this character. The guy was in/mentioned in five freakin' segments. This is time that they should be using to get their nonexistent tag division over. It's time for them to do the "Eugene isn't retarded" thing because the fans are soon to become tired of his character and it will give him a strong push as a heel with maybe a IC title run in his future.
This weeks Raw gets a 6.5 out of 10. Vengeance is a week away and the only other matches I can see happening are Eugene/Regal, Tomko/Stevie Richards (wouldn't really see the point of booking it though), Matt Hardy/Kane (maybe with the stip being that if Matt wins his character will be booked properly and the same for if Kane wins) and Victoria/Trish (not that they even booked the women on the show this week). The WWE's PPV buildup is poor as usual which will result in low buyrates once again. The fact that they question why they receive such low buyrates baffles me. This weeks Raw was solid but there was way too much Eugene and HHH on the show along with that poor pregnancy angle. Raw has gone back to being weirdly booked. It is really sad that they have such a stacked roster and they still can't book it properly without needing to waste time with outlandish angles and the stupid diva search. Morale has got to be low in the back with that thing going on.

Eugene is quickly becoming the WWE equivalent of the "I didn't do it" kid. I have a feeling his popularity will be gone around SummerSlam.
I also think they need to drop the charade and just start calling RAW, "The Evolution Show" for awhile, since there is little to nothing on there that isn't connected to them in some way.
Maybe the stip for the Kane/V1 match will be that the winner gets to be father of the baby.
As for what Chazz about Benoit having to "retutn the favor", HHH hasn't really put Benoit over IMO, since those matches at WM and JD seemed to be portrayed more as HBK and HHH cancelling each other out and Benoit taking advantage. I wouldn't doubt that HHH will win the strap back pretty soon, but I don't see it much as "returning the favor."
Overall, RAW in the last few weeks isn't making a whole lot of sense to me. It's way too centered around Evolution, IMO, and the Eugene thing is just floating around still riding the momentum of the segment with the Rock. I may be in the minority, but IMO RAW is about to come to a dead end in the next couple of months because they are too dependent on one storyline that isn't leading anywhere.

This is the WWE though so they would be able to find a way to change the DNA of a child anyways. They did make sense in the comcrete crypt match so why not this?

Yes because winning matches, not paternaty tests, is how to determine who the father is.

Yeah the Doctor with the test results will be hanging above the ring. Oh the WWE smells money there. :whatevera
Anyway this Raw certainly seems to be Triple H/Eugene dominated. Looks to me like we are going back to the dark days where Triple H was the main Raw fixture no matter what. He is a great talent but only in small portions.
I'll wait till it hits our fair shores to give my full judgement. It does seem to have quite a good few matches however which is always a plus.

I agree with just about everything that's been said. But in spite of all Raw's recent failures, I can say that J.R. and King have been great lately. I know I could have been the only one laughing my ass last night when J.R. exclaimed during the main-event after King had been raving endlessly about Kane, "There's a drop-toe hold -- WOULD YOU SHUT ABOUT FOR A MINUTE ABOUT KANE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!"
I was dyin' laughing last night. I spit ice cream all over the t.v.

You weren't the only one...:chuckles: . King and JR have been doing a great job as of late despite having to make sense of outlandish angles.

Meanwhile, unknown to WP posters, a WWE creative team member secretly browsing this site just came up with a brilliant plan concerning Kane, Matt and Lita to show his fellow members.
