The show starts off with a recap of the #1 Contender’s match from last week where the Undertaker secured a spot for himself at Summerslam going against the WWE Champion

Chavo Guerrero Jr. makes his way down to the ring with a mic in hand

Chavo Guerrero: “Rey Mysterio, lets cut to the chase…I am the greatest cruiserweight on the whole entire Smackdown roster. That belt means everything in the world to me. I feel as if one of my kidney’s are missing when I look over and don’t see the Cruiserweight Championship on my nightstand when I go to bed at night. It drives me crazy to know that you have what I want. That will all change right now because I am about to reclaim what is rightfully mines in the cruiserweight championship and I will go down as the greatest WWE Cruiserweight Champion of all time.”

Rey makes his way down to the ring

Rey then delivers a 619 followed by the drop of the dime. Rey goes for the cover and gets the three count.

Winner and still WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Mysterio

As Rey celebrates his victory, Paul London smiles as he walks to the back.

Josh Matthews catches up to Paul London backstage

Josh Matthews: “Paul, very little is known about you other than you being an excellent cruiserweight superstar. You threw Chavo off of his game by simply standing at ringside. What is the story with the two of you?”

Paul London: “At the Great American Bash there were three men left in the ring during the cruiserweight battle royal as you may remember. Chavo ended up costing me my chance to become cruiserweight champion by low blowing me. It’s all good turnabout is fair play. What you just saw was me getting into Chavo’s head. His paranoia cost him his shot at the cruiserweight championship not me. Chavo if you feel I cost you your shot at cruiserweight gold then consider us even.”

We go backstage to see Charlie Haas walking towards the ring with Miss Jackie as Rico runs up to both

Rico: “What was with that last week Charles?”

Charlie Haas: “Rico, we had our little run with the tag team championships and it’s over. I am focusing on my single’s career as should you. We won’t have any problems as long as you don’t get in my way.”

Rico: “We will never be over Charles. Even if it means that I have to make you keep this partnership alive, I will. If you can’t see how good we are together, I will make you.”

Charlie Haas: “Just remember I warned you. I won’t allow anyone or anything to get in the way of me becoming the greatest superstar in WWE history. No one will stop me from becoming WWE Champion one day even if I have to roll over you and crush you Rico, I will.”

Rico stares a hole in Charlie Haas as Haas and Miss Jackie begin to walk away

We come back to see Paul Heyman making his way to the ring along with the Dudley Boyz

Paul Heyman: “Ladies and gentleman, I am a forgiving man. When I am impressed, I have the tendency to change my mind. Allow me to introduce the #1 contender for the WWE Championship at Summerslam, the Undertaker.”

Undertaker: “I know you people are shocked that I realigned myself with Paul Heyman. You may be saying why Taker why? Paul Heyman is a smart man that’s why. Paul Heyman knows how to persuade the Undertaker. Paul Heyman and the Dudley Boyz are the only people who dared to stand up to the Undertaker and beat the living hell out of me. Anyone who can look the Undertaker in the eye and not back down is someone who has the respect of the Undertaker and I respect all three of these men. You see, I am looking to become the WWE Champion once again at Summerslam and there is only one man who could mentally prepare me for that and it’s Paul Heyman. I realized that Paul Bearer wasn’t out for me. He just wanted to relive the old days. This is the first time I had a chance to speak my mind since coming back to the WWE. Paul Bearer, I hope you rest in peace because I will not miss you. I am looking to obtain glory once again and with these three men on my side, I will be unstoppable.”

Paul Heyman: “Bravo Taker, bravo. I knew the way to get the Undertaker was through tough love and you came to your senses. You made an impact by gaining a title shot through a hard fought victory last week against Booker T and RVD. You made an impact. Speaking of making an impact, there are two men who haven’t made one and it’s you guys the Dudley Boyz. Where the hell were the two of you last week? You didn’t reek any havoc. Do you think that because you’re the tag team champions you don’t have anymore work to do? Wrong. You know what you have to do and you guys better do it. Now as for Eddie Guerrero, you are on notice. Come Summerslam, the WWE Championship will no longer be around your waist. There is no way you can defeat the Undertaker especially with Paul Heyman by his side. See you in hell Eddie.”

Eddie Guerrero makes his way out to ringside in his lowrider

Eddie Guerrero: “Congratulations Taker. You are now the number one contender for this belt here. I am looking forward to our match at Summerslam but make no mistake about it holmes, I won’t give up this WWE Championship without a war. I have worked my whole career to get where I am right now and as much as I respect you, I hate you. I hate you because you want this title. Anyone who wants my Championship I hate. When it comes to the WWE Championship, there are no allies. There are no friends. There are just sworn enemies. Taker you are my sworn enemy esae and I will make sure that you are crippled before I allow you to ever take my WWE Championship away. You think that because you have Paul Heyman by your side you are more powerful? You’re right. Paul Heyman is a smart man and knows how to get and keep power. But you’re the one who’s outnumbered holmes because it’s you and Heyman against me and my Latino Heat oda lee.”

Undertaker: “We are sworn enemies huh? Then why wait till Summerslam. Step into this ring and I’ll crush you.”

Eddie gets off of the top of his lowrider and walks towards the ring but Shane McMahon makes his way out to the top of the ramp accompanied by Luther Reigns

Shane McMahon: “No. Don’t even think about it. This will not go down tonight. I will not allow it on my watch. I want you all to leave right now except for our WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero. Eddie, I just wanted to tell you that I am proud of you. Going through all you have gone through, to beat all of your personal demons and become WWE Champion I envy you. Not many people have overcome hardships in their lives the way you have. There is one minor misconception you seem to of had though. Last week I said that the winner of the triple threat match will get a shot at the champion at Summerslam. I never said Eddie Guerrero. In other words, Eddie you have a couple of weeks to keep that belt around your waist securing your spot at Summerslam. Between now and then Eddie, you will defend your WWE Championship two more times before Summerslam. I am doing this so that you’ll be ready for anything come Summerslam because the Undertaker is unlike many people. I don’t think you know what you will be up against if you remain WWE Champion going into Summerslam. So your first title defense will be…next week on Smackdown. As for tonight, you will be in a non-title bout against another man looking to make a name for himself. My enforcer, Luther.”

Gunn then picks Charlie Haas up and irish whips him. Haas comes back going for a clothesline but Gunn ducks it and levels him with a clothesline of his own. Gunn then waits for Haas to get up and goes for the Fameasser but Haas sidesteps him and grabs him from behind and plants him with a German Suplex. Haas goes for the cover but only gets a two count. Haas locks Billy in a front face lock on the mat. Haas causes Gunn to begin to fade causing the ref to check on him. Billy Gunn ends up working his way back to his feet after the ref checks on him and only gets his hand dropping twice. As Gunn begins to stand, Haas tries to hold onto him with one hand and hits him in the back of the head with the other. Gunn begins going back to the floor but all of a sudden ends up flipping Haas over his head. Gunn picks him up from behind and goes for the One and Only but Haas kicks Gunn in the groin bringing him to his knees. Haas then goes off the ropes and gives him a hard boot to the face. Haas then locks in the Haas of Pain causing Billy Gunn to tap out.

Winner: Charlie Haas

Both Rico and Jackie come in the ring and hold his hands up in victory but Haas once again throws Rico’s hand down. Haas begins to walk off but Rico grabs his arm asking for an explanation. Haas then continues to walk off but Rico grabs his arm again causing Haas to clothesline Rico hard to the mat. Haas then begins to stomp away at Rico leading a vicious assault on him as Miss Jackie looks on with a concerned look on her face. Haas then lifts Rico up and drops him hard on his neck with a German Suplex. He then goes to the outside and gets a steel chair and comes back in the ring. Haas then repeatedly delivers chairshots to the leg of Rico. He then wedges his leg between the chair and comes off the top rope on the chair crushing Rico’s leg. Haas then locks in the Haas of Pain on Rico while Miss Jackie pleads for him to release it. Finally a couple of officials force Haas off of Rico. Haas begins to walk off but grabs Miss Jackie and kisses her. She looks at him and raises her hand as if she is going to slap him but she kisses him instead. The two walk off with their hands held in the air leaving Rico in the ring.

I am not like any other General Manager because I won’t allow my superstars to control me. I am in charge and as long as you know that, we’ll get along perfectly fine.”

I can see you ain’t like the other GMs because you are a McMahon. I know I’m in for one hell of a battle. Stamboli tries to come in the ring to stop the double team but the ref stops him leaving Akio and Sakoda in the ring alone with Nunzio. The two take turns delivering hard chops to Nunzio. Commercial Break

We come back to see Booker T being interviewed backstage by Josh Matthews

Josh Matthews: “Booker T, you did an excellent job last week in the number one contender’s match. At one point, many thought you were going to win that match after delivering a Houston Hangover to RVD but you came up a little short…”

Booker T: “You didn’t say that, tell me you didn’t just say that. Last week I had that match one. Just as you said, I had RVD beat but the Undertaker stole victory from me. Look at who was pinned? RVD. Let’s face it, he didn’t belong in that match last week. Even during our run as tag champs on Raw I had to carry RVD. We then come over to Smackdown and he thinks I’m gonna carry him again. I wasn’t havin’ that because it’s about time I focused on Booker T and becoming the WWE Champion. I proved that I am better than him by defeating him a few months back right here on Smackdown and basically dominating the number one contender’s match last week. If I hear that name one more time I am gonna go crazy.”

RVD walks up from behind and taps Booker on the shoulder

RVD: “You’ll go crazy Book? You must have already gone crazy saying that you’re better than me. I am sick and tired of your crap Booker. If you think you’re better then me than prove that you are in the ring. You will never be better than Rob Van Dam.”

Booker stares at RVD with an angry look in his face. He begins to walk off but turns around and levels RVD with a right hand. Nice show, that was layed out very well. I'll give you my hit and miss of it.

Hit:

1. Undertaker with Heyman: I wasn't too sure about this pairing, but if you keep this up then I suspect that it will work. I have always liked Taker when he plays heel, and putting him with Paul just adds to that.

2. London: good to see he is getting some time on your show. On my SD, I have featured him in several matches, and will continue to do so because he is such a great talent.

3. Haas: Nice heel turn, set up perfectly. I think Haas can be a great heel.

4. FBI- Well, here is something else we have in common. Both of us are pushing the FBI in the tag division. Good call here. Gives the Dudley's some good competiton.

5. Booker vs. RVD: We have all wanted to see this happen. Good call here.

Miss:

1. Shane: just wasn't feeling him this week. Kind of came off as a wimp of sorts. Still like him as the GM.

2. Eddie: I like how you are building the "Man against all odds" theme with Eddie, but I felt his promo came off flat. Just couldn't get excited about him meeting Taker at SS.

3. Cena vs Jindrak: I like Mark, I really do, but this match did him no justice whatsoever. Match was spotty and didn't have a good flow to it. Cena needs to drop the US title, because he is ready for the main event.

Overall, I'll give it a 7/10. Show flowed well. Just some of the matches were okay and Eddie's promo just didn't convince me.

Thanks for the feedback Chazz. With the Eddie thing, I'm trying to build him as a credible champ and agree with you completely on his promo. It did come off very flat. Don't worry, I'll sell this feud to you and Eddie as a credible champ. I agree with the Shane thing. I think that it has to be expected. Look at how they had Heyman portrayed but yet he was the best GM SD had. I have something planned for him anyways. As for Jindrak, I completely agree. I have something real big planned for him that will involve another superstar. Some may not like it when I finally finish laying it out but with the way SD is (maybe I'm giving too much away...:) ) well lets just say that another underutilized superstar will get a chance to get a push. A 7 out of 10...great. I've been booking the SD's for the past two weeks because I won't have any time in the near future so I booked it almost to SS already. I'll just use this is a way to fix my shows that I already booked. Something different I will be doing too...since I won't be booking Raw I am just going to make SS a SD PPV and maybe in the future I will see about booking Raw also. Hope it goes over well.

EDIT: On the Jindrak thing I just saw it on my comp when I was going to do another booking with the match between he and Cena. I said to myself that I was going to change part of it. I was going to add in his doing his calisthenics thing as a way to advance an angle with him. I'm going to edit that part now with it being the only thing I will change. I had originally planned to do it before I posted this the other day but it totally slipped my mind.
