Former NWA champion Ken Shamrock is scheduled to return to NWA:TNA next week, according to well placed sources in the company.

Shamrock won the NWA championship at the first NWA:TNA PPV in Nashville, TN in June 2002. He lost the belt to Ron Killings and left the promotion shortly thereafter.

In recent months, Shamrock has been training for UFC. He returned to the Octagon last week, defeating Kimo via knockout after a knee strike.

TNA announced at their Impact! Taping last night that former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who has wrestled on several occasions, would be appearing for the promotion at next week's Impact! Taping.

Rodman = Boo

Shamrock = YEY!!

Hopefully Kenny will be working Full time, IMO they need some Ex WWE talent to help their product and draw in the casual fan. I’ve always liked Shamrock and IMO he was a good NWA TNA Champion, Just a shame that he wasn’t totally over with the Nashville crowd in 2002 when they had bigger plans for him. I hope to god we get a Jarrett/Shamrock feud, IMO it could be worth seeing and could Draw.

Thoughts?

Damn Shamrock is a great talent and I would love to see him mix it up with Killings. Those two could have a great feud. I never foudn out why Shamrock left or was fired from the WWE. In 1998 himself, Rock and Triple H were the rising stars and then Shamrock disappeared. If TNA can keep him as a regualr roster member then they will have good guy for drawing.

Yet again onther example of how the WWE misuses their talent.

WWE's loss becomes TNA's gain.

Shamrock and Killings have feuded before. Pretty much with in the first 3 month’s of TNA Starting they had feuded and then Shamrock wasn’t as over as they had hoped and took the belt off him and put it on Killings. Shame the program/feud what ever you want to call it never really got started.

I’m sure it was late 1999 that Shammy left the WWF, I THINK it was down to the fact he wanted to go back to UFC and train, and the WWF at the time didn’t want that so they came to the conclusion to release him. I’m sure he was scheduled to feud with Jericho considering as he was the person who put him out, but it never happened.
