Holy crap, I never realized how long this show had been going on. I think I've been watching it since either Season Two or sometime during Season One.

I can still remember the days when I had to tape it whenever my neighbors came down or when my relatives from Ohio came down every year (both families wouldn't let their kids watch it and my parents were looked down upon for letting me and my little brother watch it).

Since like 1989?? WOW! I figured 10 years at the most was how long it was running.

snpp.com or whatever that site was that was provided in the Season 4 DVD post was what made me post this topic.

Yeah, it's the longest running show on TV right now. Amazing isn't it? I don't know what I would do without the Simpsons...

Actually, this is probably what I would do inside the confines of the staff lounge:

Trevor: "No wrestling and no Simpsons makes Trevor something something...."
Scott: "Ummm...go crazy?"
Trevor: "DON"T MIND IF I DO! BWAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

It's amazing that it's been on for 15 years. I'm hoping that it has a few more seasons left.

did the voice actors end up getting a raise, cause i remember Nancy Cartwright was on tv and saying they were demanding more money. and thats why maude was cut off because her voice actor wanted more money..but this might be very old new as in australia we are wayyyyyyyy behind episode wise.

well on that site, it said they were at it again demanding more money. I didn't look to see how old it was, but it was there on the news. I think that's lame, you know they already get a ton of money, more than enough to compensate for all those years they spent on that show.

I've been watching the Simpsons since it was a cartoon short on the Tracy Ulman show way back in 88.

And then they got their own series in 89.

I was in the 7th freakin' grade then! Little CLIT was 12! Little CLIT still had a little CLIT at the time! :p

The show was all about Bart when it started. I had an "Eat My Shorts" t-shirt, an"Air Bart" one, and a "Bartman" one. And everybody said Aye Caramba before D'oh got big. Then Homer took off and everybody fell in love with him.

The best episodes were in the mid-90's, but it's still the best show around.

I can't think of any other show that is as funny as The Simpsons. It will go down as one of the best tv shows of all-time. And Clit, I remember when The Simpsons started on Tracey Ullman, and how awful they looked compared to what we see today. :D

The Simpsons saved Fox in the early 90's and paved the way for other edgier animated shows today.

I Love the Simpsons:)

Don't forget about Married with Children. Both the Simpsons and Married with Children made Fox what it is today.

Married...With Children was way ahead of its time when it came on true but the Simpsons has more of a lasting impact due to it beating out the Flintstones as the longest primetime animated television show and being on the air for 14 years.

P.S. My prediction is that Fox will fail miserablely when the Simpsons go off the air and with the lack of viewers watching King of the Hill, it's only a matter of time.
