Dana White recently said the following in an interview (http://www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=232925327#) with AOL Fanhouse regarding whether he has interest in bringing Bobby Lashley to the UFC:

"I don't think so. We brought in Brock Lesnar because he's a great wrestler. He's a big guy, I thought he should have taken some fights in some smaller shows, but he assured me he was ready and I believed him and he was right, thank God. I don't know how many people can cross over and do what Lesnar has done. I don't think there's many out there."

I guarantee you if Lashley ends up being absolutely dominant Dana will snatch him up. He get to where Lesnar is as fast as Lesnar, but he could get there eventually.

Well, Lashley's got a military wrestling background, and I'm not too sure whether that accounts for much overall. However, I can guarantee that Lashley's bulk is probably dropping bigtime now that he's getting into professional fighting - just because he literally had to forcibly put it on to have the pro wrestling look. I'd be surprised if he did keep it - but it makes him an attraction, if not necessarily a very appealing one, if he did. Lesnar also stayed with the WWE longer, having a little more face value - and the fact that he went through the amateur leagues for so long really helped his cred with the less WWE-centric people, I'd think (while they still hated him).

Either way, though, I feel Lashley-Lesnar would be a really boring fight somehow.

Well, Lesnar is by a pretty large margin the UFC's biggest star, so I guess Lashley wouldn't be a bad guy to bring in. That said, they have to strike a balance here, this isn't Japan, so they can't bring in all the pro wrestlers they want, they must appear legit. Lashley could probably make a fair bit of money going to DREAM and main eventing against Bob Sapp, which might actually be a better option.
