So i've been trying to post a thread for the last half an hour in the WWE forum. Everytime I click "post thread" it said there was a HTTP error and that I had to try again, which I did.....about five times. Nothing. So then I switched from my laptop to the computer and tried making the thread. Nothing. When I click "post new thread" it takes me to a blank page.
Ugh.
Thank you for posting. We will look into this as soon as possible

I went & made a test thread in the WWE forum, and everything seems to be working fine. I think one of the admins is going to have to look into this, because I certainly had no problems with my attempt at a test thread.
Sorry mate.

Quick queries would involve what browser you're using, and if those problems pop up under any other browser, Chaos. I'm not saying IE, but if you are using it, that's probably your problem. It is, and always has been, notoriously crap.

Christ on a bike, Opera isn't working either.
Firefox doesn't work, neither does IE or Opera.
:(. My thread making days are over.

OK I made a test thread in WWE and it posted fine, but then I pasted the info from the news site to a thread and then tried posting it, it came up the blank page error.
Very weird.

It might be some sort of byte-related error. When you next throw out a test, can you intentionally make it a page and a half or so of gibberish? Not cut and pasted, just.. adklgjklasdjvglwnvjlwnrjvlnjln-styled stuff. If that doesn't work (and something with practically nothing in it does), then we've pretty well worked out the cause, if not the.. well, y'know. I can guarantee it's nothing from the settings side of things.

I made another test with a bunch of random letters and tried to make the thread as long as possible, and then it worked fine.
It seems like I just couldn't post a thread containing the info from the news site. Whenever I copy and paste the news into a new thread and post, the error comes up. When I type shit in, it works. When I type lots of shit in, it works. Oh well.
Cheers for the help.
How many characters is the thread you were trying to copy and paste?

I think thats more then allowed in a single post. Im not sure on the actual number, but I have a feeling its smaller then 30,000
Try doing like half of it, then posting. You might just have to do two posts.

Yeah. That solves your problem pretty easy, Chaos. We've had a DB error for a while where you can't post PAST a certain limit (which has been hell on some things like WPW) - and unfortunately, it's not one we're likely to be able to pay much attention to. Realistically, it's easy enough to split for the time being at least, whilst we either find a hack that allows or whatever. RoboDuff strikes again!
While there is no limit on the forums as to the amount of characters in a single post, the server appears to ahve some trouble handling it. I spoke to them before abnout it and we tried as few things, but nothing seems to work. Sorry i can't offer more of a resolution at this stage, but it's something that i'll keep trying to solce until we crack it.
