New Skins?

Hey Duff,

I was wondering when and if we can get some more skins. I mean the ones we have are okay but some more options would be nice. Like something or anything that is current, like a current movie skin or something you know what I mean? Anyways thats just me speaking outloud and wanting more from the site I frequent A LOT!

I think we are intending to do some updates. So you might keep an eye out for when that starts to happen. Until then I dont think any will be added because they might just go away with the update (im not sure). And currently its a bit of a pain to do some things (or i could be accidently making things up)

I shall attempt to keep the peoples updated!

Pretty much as Jede said.

I'm waiting for a stable release of vB 3.8 whichlooks like it should be released early next year. I'm hoping that installing that will remove some of the tech issues we currently have surrounding large posts and other stuff. Once that is released i'll be doing the usual round up of adding stuff like features, additions and skins. Until then we'll just have to suffer with what we have. Sorry

I lurk around here a lot, but it's difficult to stay long because the dark skins give me a headache. If we could get some lighter skins, maybe some whites with light blues, I would be pretty happy. Hopefully that stable update happens soon.

Well, i added several new skins yesterday, but they are still in their infancy and need tweaking with new headers and some buttons are likely still missing. I've asked people to leave me notes on what is missing frome ach skin and the location on the server where the file should be (right click> properties> location). The more people that do that, the sooner i can get the skins fully operational and signed off.

The new skins are pretty good. I am liking Darkness II the best. I think that one loads really slow at times though. Other ones, especially the blue ones are not work keeping in my eyes.

I actually really like the Clean Blue Fluid skin.

Unfortunately, most things are still set to the defaults for dark skins so it doesnt go to well.

Whenever you decide what skins you wanna keep, lemme know and I'll try and make the buttons needed. :)

Snowy, what do you mean by most things are set to the defaults for dark skins? Such as? Details are always beneficial when it comes to fixing things.

I meant the colour of the text in my sig (white on dark skins)... But then I realised I must have *somehow* set it to white myself and it wasn't actually the default colour...

Well, some people obviously love those white+blue or some other light colour themes, but on here, I was checking out the themes, and I think I should try sticking with the WPW theme. It looks good, but everytime, I just miss the default one :fit:

What do you mean you miss the default one? The default skin on WP has been blakc and gold for about 4 years now.

I think he means that after having one of the new skins for a while, he misses the default Black & Gold one.

Because, atleast, that's how I feel too. I like a few of the new skins but after a bout an hour I ended up changing it back to the Black & Gold one cause I missed it haha

I have never used the Black and Gold skin. I dislike it. I use Heavy Metal (which alot of people dont like) everything is easily visable to me and its mostly grey which is my favorite color. Ill have to check some of the others out though.

I use Heavy Metal too actually Jede, though right now I'm trying out Carbon Fibre.

I dislike the heavy metal skin. I am used to the black and gold skin. I haven't looked at the other ones yet.
