WPW Friday Night
Turmoil!
November 14th, 2008
Universal Studios
Orlando, FL
This week, WPW returns to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida for the first time since it hosted the first ever Redemption event in 2007!
The One v Mike Corral
This week on Turmoil, The One returns to a WPW ring for the first time since losing the WPW Tag Team Titles to the IOW at ReActivation. Having popped up several times in the last few weeks, confronting several WPW superstars backstage, last week it was revealed that The One will take on Gunnar Brian at When Worlds Collide, but this week in his return match, he will take on Mike Corral. Corral himself has been successful since his own returning, teaming up with WPW new-boy Xavier Ray, claiming the #1 contendership to the WPW Tag Team Championship just a few weeks ago.
The Killing Joke v Chris Cage
The WPW Champion and HoF'er Killing Joke goes to war with IOW member Chris Cage this week, having gotten the better of Dan Murph last week due to a...dog turd, Killing Joke will take on one half of the WPW Tag Team Champions, and team mate of Dan Murph, in Chris Cage. Who will prevail? The WPW Champion and HoF'er Killing Joke? Or will the Future take out the champ?
Ladder Match
Dan Murph v Jerimiah Ranks
Last week Jerimiah Ranks put his half of the WPW Tag Team Titles on the line against Mike Adams, and lost. This week, the IOW, and Dan Murph in particular have given him one last opportunity. But to take it? He'll have to climb up a fifteen foot ladder, and take grasp of a metal briefcase. Sound easy? Well add the fact that he has to hold off a six foot eight, three hundred pound, blood thirsty World Heavyweight Champion, and suddenly this becomes one of Ranks' hardest tasks to date. Will Ranks be able to grab hold of his last opportunity? Or will Dan Murph rid the IOW of Jerimiah Ranks?
Triple Threat Elimination Main Event
"Spectacular" Salvador Karver v The Stallion v Brock Goodman
For weeks on end now, WPW General Manager Ethan Frost has been attempting to work something out. Somehow, no matter how he sliced it, when it came to the heir incumbent to the #1 contendership for the WPW/World title post-unification, no name came up more frequently than either "Spectacular" Salvador Karver or The Stallion. As such, continually, he was placing them to fit the potential position in big match after big match - but finally, a more devious idea has come to mind. By inserting odd bedfellow Brock Goodman into a one-fall elimination match.. The loser - whosoever is pinned - is out if the #1 contendership match at When Worlds Collide. Has Ethan Frost finally found a brain? Or does he just have an intelligent assistant? Who knows! All there is to say? One person will be leaving Turmoil on Friday, pissed!
