We have all done the Biggie or Pac dispute to death. Now I want to know who you think the best MC of all time is. I'll give you mine (and I'm gonna catch hell for it).

Emineim aka Slim Shady aka Marshall Mathers

Here why. This guy is a genius when it comes to rhyming words. His flow is unmatched. If you listen to the song Renegade on Jay-Z's blueprint album, you'll understand why. He has perfected what he calls the inside rhyme, making the words inside a sentence as important as the words at the end of the sentence. Every song that I hear him on as a guest MC, he owns. Nas even alluded to this fact when he dissed Jay Z ("Emineim murdered you on your own ****").

That and the fact that he is the most successful white rapper of all time and has gained respect even in the black communtiy (trust me, I know.) Even if you hate what he raps about, you still have to recognize the skills.

Your turn.

Eminem's a really good rapper but I don't think that he is the best of all time. I'm going to name some of the best because it's too hard to just say one.

Talib Kweli- Amazing lyriscist who while he has doesn't have to rely on rapping about being a thug or material things that he has. It's a real wonder how even with relative fame in hip hop head circles, he has yet to go even gold.

Tupac- Good lyricist but his stregnth is not in the complexity of his words but rather in the depth of them. His lyrics didn't read like a dictionary because Pac was more than just a rapper he was a poet who rapped to try to spread a message to a greater audience and to try to educate people.

K-Os- A mixture of Pac and Kweli with more tendencies of Kweli in him. He in my opinion is the Canadian Talib. He never ever raps about being a thug or cars and bling. His music is not commercially marketable so he will never be a top-selling rapper but he will be amazing none the less.

Dead Prez- The most political group in the rap game and make Public Enemy look like right wing politicians. Listen to Propoganda and Police State for proof of that. Really good lyrics but like Pac there stregnth is their depth while not rapping about nearly the same things as Pac. They are very Revolutionary and won't be mainstream because of it.

Notorious BIG- Lost points because of what he rapped about after joining Bad Boy. He basically sold out big time (no pun intended). Despite that it would be rediculous to not include him. Amazing lyrics and a great story teller.

It kills me to not put Nas and Mos Def on the list but I think that they are just one step down.
