The show opens up insides the Live! makeshift Locker room where Martin Cameron sits alone. The camera zooms into his hands which are shaking, he looks down, and then grips trying to stop the shaking. It doesn’t work and he shakes his head in disappointment
Martin: … Dammit….
WPW Sunday Night Live.
An APG Production
Live From The Hard Rock Cafe!!!!
The arena lights come up and the dozen in attendance cheer, A waitress with a Long Island ice tea walk past the camera, and then it abruptly shifts to a outer look of the ring, as you can notice they are still working out the kinks of a live show of this size. The camera then goes down to the commentators.
Scott: Hello out their my fellow Canucks and welcome to a very special edition of WPW Sunday night Live! Being broadcast only in the great white north. You see due to the lack of Hockey, many stations need fillers for the Sunday and tonight, the network has made a deal with WPW to air tonight! If you don’t know me already from the local curling tournament, I am your play by play man Scott Bundy, along with my partner, and chief analyst Ted Peterson. Good Evening Ted!
Ted: Right back at cha Scott, tonight we have a stacked card for you tonight at the Hard Rock Casino. Five matches guaranteed to make your blood simmer with excitement! But first we have a former Florida State Champion fighting a former Hardcore Champion in a round robin tournament match to achieve a Florida State Championship match.
Scott: You care to tell us how this tournaments works?
Ted: Fair enough. Let’s get to the action
Mykal Adams vs. Forsaken
The camera pans to the ring and suddenly ‘Just close your eyes’ plays from the tiny PA system and Mykal Adams walks out to a few claps, and whistles from the ladies.
Afterwards “Last Man Standing” by Hammerfall hit’s the speakers (Or boom box) and out comes the former Hardcore champion Forsaken.
The match begins with your basic punch, punch, irish whip reverse banter until Forsaken takes a brief lead with some stunning martial art like moves. This however didn’t last long when Mykal Adams showed he was far more ready then the young Forsaken and hit a T-Bone Suplex while Forsaken was doing one of those Japanese kicks. After that moment, you could say it was a bunch of foreplay by Mykal Adams while he hit a handful of different suplex’s until he ended the match with his climatic, Love Stun Gun. After the match while celebrating victory, Mykal saw a buxom woman holding one of his books… he gladly took a pen and the book from her and signed “Mykal Adams 555-0987”
Winner: Mykal Adams via Pinfall in 4 minutes and 1 second.
Scott: That Mykal Adams is certainly a fan favorite, especially with the Ladies. So tell us Ted, what gave Adams the edge here.
Ted: Forsaken just wasn’t prepared, and was over matched my Adams. Add to that, Mykal might have been right when he said Forsaken’s flaw was that he didn’t has his partner in The Fallen, Ryuu. He just didn’t seem like the competitor we all know and love.
Scott: Mykal Adams earns another victory in the tournament, and a step closer to title match with the Champion Martin Cameron. While Forsaken takes a step back. Well next up folks we have the former God of Live Blade against the former… uh… I mean, Gunnar Brian in yet another contest in the Florida state Tournament! But first…
The camera focuses backstage where Chris Cage and Jeremiah Ranks stand leaning against the wall talking. The camera looks closer to see what they are saying.
Chris Cage: Why are we here again? We don’t even have a match.
Ranks: Carlos is probably punishing us for last week, and the loss of his poor spokesman JMC. It doesn’t matter anyways, after you take out The One, I’ll beat Scorch and walk out of the building one step closer to the WPW title.
Chris Cage chuckles to himself for a moment, and Ranks looks at him confused.
Ranks: What’s so funny?
Chris Cage: Well I can almost Guarantee you will “beat” Scorch next week my friend, I think that isn’t a stretch. But you walking out of the building under your own power might be another story… haha.
Chris cage laughs again and Ranks merely rolls his eyes as the camera fades out and comes back on the ring.
Gunnar Brian vs. Blade Lavigne
‘The Other side” by Aerosmith hit’s the speakers and out comes Gunnar Brian to absolutely zero reaction besides one guy looking at a signed cheap trick guitar at one of the displays. Gunnar Brian enters the ring.
Then “Bleed for Me” by Saliva hit’s the speakers and out comes Blade, and he looks very focused.
The match surprisingly began with some good offense by Blade Lavigne when he ran in the ring and delivered a spear right off the bat. After that it was more of the same as Blade dominated through and through will powerful suplex’s and even a running big boot. Gunnar was so shocked by the beating that he barely had times to think about it as Blade hit the Sit Down Powerbomb for the victory. After the match, Blade Lavigne went to the Kid Rock display, because as you know… he is also from Michigan… and it’s a hard rock casino… get it?
Winner: Blade Lavigne via Pinfall in 6 minutes and 11 seconds.
Scott: Blade picks up the surprising win here, and he also gets to see some fine memorabilia.
Ted: Don’t be too surprised by the victory Scott. Blade might not always be considered the most articulate wrestler, but he always shows up and prepares for matches, something you can’t say about Gunnar Brian, and that may have cost him the match tonight… and lead Blade in the right direction for the Florida State Championship.
Scott: Well said. It looks like we have a camera backstage.
Actually the camera is outside in the parking lot as The One and Dan Murph stand outside shooting the breeze.
The One: … It’s hard, but I think I am finally figuring it out. Still doesn’t mean a professional wrestler like to change diapers.
Murph: Makes sense, at least you don’t have to face The Karvers and tag with the man who you want take a title from on Tuesday. I swear, everyone is a enemy now.
The One: Nichols and those Karver women don’t actually like me that much either. When are you cashing in that contract?
Dan looks at him and gives a devilish grin
Murph: Soon…
The One: It’s been done…
Spaz vs. Nick Comoroto
“Given up” by Linkin Park hit’s the speakers and out comes Spaz who gets booed by a kid eating his chicken fingers at a table across the room. Spaz then of course, enters the ring.
“Riot” by Three Days Grace hit’s the speakers and the fans slightly cheer the Canadian band, until Comoroto comes out screaming about some riot… sooner or later he enters the ring.
The match starts with Nick finding a way to get Spaz to the mat and trying to use MMA moves against him, Spaz being the savvy veteran fights out of them many times and begins to deliver stiff “Wrasslin” punches and this stuns the younger Comoroto. In his frustration Nick reverts back to his old ways of amateur wresting. Spaz takes advantage of this and delivers a class Arn Anderson spine buster to Comoroto. He goes for the pin at the 5 minute mark but Nick fights out. Nick comes back and does a take down on spaz and starts delivering thunderous elbows to Spaz’s head. However the vet gets Nick again as he throws his head back and knocks out Como out by the contact… Spaz applies the Ascension to the fallen Comoroto and the ref is forced to end the match. After the match, The MetalHeadz, who were signing the autographs (Canadians love them) came in and helped Como out of the ring.
Winner: Spaz via Knockout in 10 minutes and 24 seconds.
Scott: The veteran Spaz picks up a victory here over Nick Comoroto in a very evenly fought battle. Why is that Ted?
Ted: Well Spaz was just a little more dynamic this week, and that will get you victories sometimes in such close matches. Just like when he did the claymation this week in his promos… Spaz showed he can do more than talk big and showed another side of himself, and that lead to a victory… inside and outside of the ring.
The camera then suddenly switches to another part of a makeshift area where Sky Ryder sits alone on a steel chair, deep in concentration looking down at a picture.
Sky Ryder: For Letty…
The camera returns to ring side area to get read for our next match
T.K vs. Jason Silver
The Heel extravaganza continues as “On the brink” hit’s the PA aka Boombox and out comes T.K who slowly walks to ring because he sees local celebrity “The Kid’ eating curly fries in the background.
Then, not surprisingly the other guys music hits! Jason Silver comes out to “Palm Tress” by Kill The Complex.
The match begins with some back and forth work by each man, the number of reversals was lost around the 3 minute mark as finally TK took the advantage as he hit a flying cross body, which was the best Cross body in Canada but sadly not even top 12 in the world. The technical expert began to show off his moves, some in which were cool, some in which sucked… and after he applied about 3 out of his 1002 moves, Jason Silver then took the offensive when he hit a tilt a whirl backbreaker. After this Silver went at TK with pride and heart, but TK matches him effort for effort. At about the 12 minute mark the match abruptly ended as Jason Silver hits “Psychotic Episode” a bulldog which is overly complex and up it’s own ass for the win!
Winner: Jason Silver via Pretentious Bulldog in 12 minutes and 54 seconds.
Scott: Jason Silver wins this one in a hard fought victory, what say you Ted?
Ted: You are right, it was closer than usual… I have to say that Jason just really showed off how talented he is this week inside that ring, and during his promo. It’s not that TK wasn’t good enough, he just wasn’t better than Silver, plain and simple.
The camera switches backstage yet again to show Martin Cameron still sitting in his make shift locker room, watching his hands shake. A backstage producer enters the room, and tells Cameron he is up next.
Martin: I’m ready.
The camera zooms in on his hand and it suddenly stops to shake as he becomes focused for the match at hand.
Martin Cameron vs. Sky Ryder
On The Outside by Kill The Complex hit’s the speakers and out comes the Canadian Champion to the loudest ovation of the night. Maybe because Canada was mention, or maybe because they knew the show was almost over. He enters the ring by the way…
Next up Broken Boy Solider by The Raconteurs hit’s the PA the speaker and out comes the Florida State Champion and Tag Team Champion Martin Cameron.
The bell rings and as soon as they are about to lock up out comes Sal Karver and Mike Karver with a steel chairs, the ref immediately calls for the bell and the Karvers go straight for Martin Cameron, and he is hit with a steal chair to the back.
Then from the back out comes Dan Murph and The One having a dead aim on The Karvers. Both men in unison tackle The Karvers and start to throw blows at them.
Not to be out done The Innovators of Wrestling, Jeremiah Ranks and Chris Cage enter the ring, and throw The One and Murph off the Karvers. Then, Sky Ryder sees the good guys are down a man and decides to get into the action and hits Chris Cage with a right to the head. Martin Cameron is now up and grabs Jeremiah Ranks by the head and throws him out out of the ring. The One looks at Sal who is next to the ring apron, and kicks him out of the ring to. Dan Murph then goes rushing for Michael Karver.. But he slips out of the ring also. Ranks, Cage, Sal, Michael stand up with pist off faces and looks back at One, Cam, Sky, and Dan standing in the ring tall… they heels slowly walk to the back… as the faces invite the 12 fans there to join them in the ring.
No Contest.
Scott: Well our main event ended even before it started folks, but it’s nice to see all of these talented men in the ring tonight, not to mention that Tuesday should be one Heck of a show!
Ted: You’ve got that right, all of these men were ready to fight this week, and you better believe come TNT, there will be even more fireworks.
Scott: Well folks that’s all the time we have tonight… I like to thank you for joining us on this special broadcast, now we will join the local Canadian news team, as they talk about the zero crime happening! Good night Folks!
Martin: … Dammit….
