-- Chavo Classic (aka Chavo Guerrero Sr.) was fired by WWE this afternoon, after no-showing two house shows in consecutive days.

-- The straw that broke the camel’s back was no showing last night’s show in Springfield, IL, but there was a big chance that he would’ve been gone by this Sunday anyway.

-- Classic, who is currently the Cruiserweight champion, was originally written into tonight’s Smackdown! tapings, but those plans will obviously now have changed.

What do you wanna bet that this is the end of the Cruiserweight Championship?

On one hand, I hope that it is not the end of it, but on the other...the WWE doesn't seem to know how to use the cruisers correctly anyway. I think there is one person who can save the cruisers at this point, and his name is Eric Bischoff. He made the division fly when he ran WCW, he could do it again if he was given control of the division.

Thank God they fired Chavo Classic. Maybe now they can give the real cruiserweights a shot at the belt and hopefully save the belt. They should have a cruiserweight battle royal this week on Smackdown and give the belt to a deserving cruiserweight. If i were the WWE i would give the belt to either Kidman, Mysterio, Noble or Nunzio. In the cruiserweight battle royal i would put Kidman, Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Jamie Noble, Nunzio, Ultimo Dragon, Paul London, Shannon Moore, Scottie 2 Hottie and a suprise cruiserweight ( someone who would help the belt rather than hurting hit a.k.a Jacqueline or Chavo Classic)

I hope that this means that they are going to make the Cruiserweight better now that Chavo Classic is fired.

Wow that was out of no where. Worry and now a firing, hmm. I guess they will do the "won at a house show" explanation. The best explain it on TV otherwise it will hurt the belt and the Smackdown! product in general. Why? An angle gets dropped out of no where with no reason is always a bad move, insults fans intelligence.

How can you even think that? If they wanted to make it better than what Classic made it, he would have lost it a lot sooner.

Hopefully this doesn’t cause the rumored demise of the cruiser division. Chavo Classic entertained the hell out of me every week but if he isn’t willing to play ball with the WWE then he shouldn’t be employed. This may be a blessing in disguise for the last minute booking style of the WWE. There are two weeks until the GAB. They can either have a tournament with the winners going to the PPV to fight for the belt or they can have a battle royal at the PPV then have the last two men left in the ring fight it out for the belt. This will get more cruisers on WWE TV and will hopefully set up some of them getting strong pushes going into the PPV. I don’t know how they could explain Chavo Classic being fired.

I’d have Angle (please get him out of the GM role and fast...anyways) come out at the top of the show with the cruiserweight title around his shoulder. He’d then say you people may be wondering why I have the cruiserweight title over my shoulder instead of Chavo Classic. Well, it has been brought to my attention that Chavo Classic is a health risk that I can’t have on my hands. He unlike his brother Eddie Guerrero refused to sign release papers freeing me of all liability if he continues to wrestle. I can’t have someone becoming seriously ill on my watch then trying to blame it on me therefore suing me. So I had to release Chavo Classic. I am here to announce that at the GAB, we will have a cruiserweight battle royal for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. The matchup will consist of each and every cruiserweight on the WWE roster who wants a shot at the belt. What will happen is that all of the cruiserweights will be in the ring at the same time. The matchup will then go on until there are two cruiserweights left in the ring. They will then battle it out for the cruiserweight championship. I feel that this is a blessing in disguise for the cruiserweight division because we will get to see that high flying action that we came to love out of the division instead of some old out of shape guy who can’t wrestle to save his life. This will then lead into the GAB where I’d have the two men left in the ring being Paul London and Chavo Guerrero. Paul London would then win the match and the two men would then feud leading into the GAB where London will go over. The WWE can then little by little bring back the cruisers to SD. Have Shannon Moore, Paul London, Matt Cappotelli, and Funaki being the faces while Chavo Guerrero, Jamie Noble, and Billy Kidman are the heels. They can build characters for each of these men easily. It may not be the best way to explain his absence but it would get the job done and would set up a great match at the GAB which can go 15 min for the actual battle royal part and 10 min for the one on one match. They should be able to spare 25 min for this match anyways seeing as the PPVs always seem to end way before the 11 o'clock hour.

Unknown's got a good idea going with the tourny idea. WWE could enter 8 cruisers total. They have four matches on Smackdown! this week. Next week, two matches. Then the championship match at the GAB. I would do it like this....

Week 1
Billy Kidman def. Nunzio
Jamie Noble def. Shannon Moore
Rey Mysterio def. Akio
Chavo Guerrero def. Paul London

Week 2
Billy Kidman def. Jamie Noble
Rey Mysterio def. Chavo Guerrero

Great American Bash
Billy Kidman def. Rey Mysterio

I know I know. It looks like a face vs. face match on paper. But I figure, after Rey wins his match, BK comes out and attacks him, setting up a heel turn for Kidman and the cruiser run he hasn't has in almost a year and a half. Plus I know Mysterio and Kidman could make a great battle out of the match. Their styles work so perfectly, it could be a great match. Thoughts?

I like the tournement idea but I have to strongly disagree with who T.E.R has winning in those matches. I also like Unknown's idea ( now that's becoming repetitive). And having London win the Cruiserweight title would be pure gold in my opinion. I don't think that they should get rid of the Cruisers. They are along with Heyman, Haas and Eddie, Booker and RVD the only reasons that tuning into Smackdown is worth my time.
