according to www.genickbruch.com

Former WWE star Bobby Lashley has decided to sign a contract with the relatively young MMA promotion AFL (American Fight League) - at last night's event "Bulletproof" he was introduced. And it was also announced that his first match would be in Oct.

Originally it was suspected he'd sign with a more well-known promotion or that he'd return to pro wrestling (TNA was on his heels). Lashley will try to break new goround. As a former successful amateur wrestler he has the ability to fare well in MMA. Compared to Lesnar's change to MMA Lashley will have the benefit that thanks to his limited popularity and joining of the AFL he won't have to face the biggest names of the business right from the start.

Also it appears not to be an exclusive contract enabling Lashley to work in other promotions and maybe even pro wrestling if he wants to.

-> strange move imo. But let's see how he can cope with real fighting.
