As it says, should the King Of the Ring be brought back?

Well I think it should most defiantly be brought back. The King Of the Ring was a fantastic springboard for the up and coming superstars. Some of biggest WWE superstars from the past, and current won this title. The likes of Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge all won the King Of the Ring and they all used it to start their careers off. Some might even say if it weren’t for the KOR these guys wouldn’t be as big as they are today or were when they wrestled. The KOR has also brought us some great matches, like Triple H Vs. Mankind in 1997 or Steve Austin Vs. Jack Roberts in 1996; both matches were those years final. I think that if the KOR were still around today it would help such stars as Tyson Tomko, Chuck Palumbo, Charlie Haas or it could help already mini established stars like Batista, Rhyno, Chuck Palumbo and many others take it to the next level. The current WWE product isn’t that great, and something old school like KOR could help the WWE bring back some old school fans as well. The King Of the Ring was and still is my favorite WWE PPV, well equal with Wrestlemania and I for one hope that it is brought back.

What are your opinions on bringing back the King Of the Ring?

It would be a pretty good idea for the WWE as it really can't hurt the product. I was never a really big fan of the event and it won't be a really big deal if it's brought back but I will admit, it would be pretty cool if brought back and it gives the WWE a sure fire hit as a PPV. Another thing it allows the WWE to do is put certain wrestlers on the card without any sort of build toward the matches. That's actually a good thing because one thing the WWE doesn't do so well anymore is write good fueds.

Simply put, yeah. It's good to see inter-brand matches, because the outcome is always good. I'm going off wrestling now, because it's way too predictable. The KOTR however, never was that predictable. Bring it back WWE, you know you want to!

Im not too sure if it is a good idea to bring back the KOTR PPV. With the brand extension the tourney more or less ran its course and couldnt go any further. There is no point in using a tournament to elevate one wrestler on Raw but then forget about some guy on Smackdown!.

I liked the KOTR concept and more times then not it was a great PPV so what I think the WWE should do is bring back a KOTR type tournament on each brand. It could play off on the ordinary show and then you could have the semi-finals and finals on just a normal PPV. I see no point in bringing back the PPV but bringing back the tourney could be a good idea. Forget the interpromotion thing.

I honestly feel that KOTR has run its' course and is not neccessary anymore. The ppv had come to not really mean much the last few years it was around, and the last champion (Brock Lesnar) was easy to predict.

With the brand extension, both shows only need to use the US and IC titles as springboards for mid-carders. Some of those mid-carders will be main eventers; some others won't. I just don't see a need for KOTR anymore.
