WWE SMACKDOWN
FROM CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
ALLSTATE ARENA

On the heels of learing about Eric Bishoff's announcement of the main event being the Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight title, GM Teddy Long has already signed six matches for this weeks Smackdown and has promised to finalize the card for the Great American Bash on June 27. Teddy has dubbed this night "opportunity knocks", as several Smackdown superstars will get their chance to showcase their stuff.

Match#1
No DQ
Grandmaster Sexay vs. Paul London

Teddy Long has already agreed that at GAB, Sexay will meet the Cruiserweight champion, Chavo Classic for the title. However, Sexay demanded this rematch and London happily accepted it. No doubt these two men will tear each other apart with the no DQ rule in effect.

Match#2
Three way dance for a shot at the WWE Tag Team titles
FBI vs. Too Cool va. Rico/Haas

Last week saw the Dudley Boys win the WWE Tag Team titles for the first time in their careers. But, the shocker was that Miss Jackie turned on Rico and Haas and helped the Dudley's win. No doubt the new tag team champs will have their eyes on this match. And, no doubt Rico and Haas will want to win this match to get revenge on the Dudleys......and Miss Jackie.

Match#3
Undertaker vs. Mark Jindrak

Mark Jindrak is a young talent that Teddy really likes. So, with the "opportunity knocks" theme for the show, Teddy has given Jindrak a chance to show he can be something special to Smackdown. He has a tall order though, as the "Dead Man" is not in a very good mood and is being forced by Long to compete weekly now. But, will Taker's mind be on JBL?

Match#4
WWE Championship
Eddie Guererro(c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Teddy signed this match after Eric Bischoff announced the EC match for Vengence. Eddie and Rey have had great matches in the past, and no doubt Teddy realized this and signed it for tv. But how will Booker take this? Booker has a shot at the title at GAB. You know he will be watching this one.

Match#5
Booker T vs. Billy Gunn

Gunn is another talent who is getting a chance to showcase his stuff. However, unlike Jindrak, Long is not too fond of Gunn. Billy has a tough match with the number one contender for the WWE title. Booker has momentum and no doubt this is not the time to try and re-start your career. But Gunn has no choice. Can he beat the five time WCW champion and prove his worth?

Main Event
Match#6
Steel Cage
United States Championship
John Cena(c) vs. Hardcore Holly

For the past few weeks, Cena and Holly have not been able to have the title match that was originally planned. Now, GM Long has decided that they will settle this inside a steel cage. Cena has more enemies now than anyone on the SD roster. With Chavo and Kurt gunning for him, and a pissed off Holly facing him inside a cage, can Cena survive until GAB?

Other notes:

Teddy Long has promised that the card for the GAB will be finalized at this weeks Smackdown show. How will Teddy respond to Eric Bischoff's comments that he made on Raw this past Monday night?

Kurt Angle will be in Chicago, and no doubt he will be looking for John Cena. Angle announced his return to in-ring action last week and was activated over the weekend by Long.

RVD and Renee Dupree will clash at the GAB, but Paul Heyman has informed WWE.Com that he and Dupree will make an announcement concerning that match. What could it be?

JBL will also be in Chicago, and rumors are running rampant that he has been in a foul mood after last weeks event. He was fired from MSNBC and then humiliated by Taker at last weeks show. What will JBL have to say?
