Blade LaVigne Vs. Justin Dreamer
Blade LaVigne is a permanent struggler on WPW, ever since coming across from CPW after its death, he has been a constant feature of his shows, some might call him the Stevie Richards of WPW even. However this week he has been given the chance to turn his luck around and become a WPW Title Holder! The God of Live title is in his reach and only one Man stands in his Way, WPW veteran Justin Dreamer! Dreamer has held the title twice and has recently beaten Jesse Long to retain it! Can Blade prove this to be no obstacle, or is Dreamer going to continue on his way?
Tag Team Match
David Nicolls & Martin Cameron Vs. Gunnar Brian & The One
Last week the team of Martin Cameron and Gunnar Brian failed to capture the WPW Tag team Titles from The Karvers. Then, after TNT went off the air, both rivals began coming to blows backstage, this lead to Cameron’s nose being broken and Gunnar being evicted from the Building, despite Cameron’s wishes for him to stay and fight. Therefore the team has officially disbanded in the midst of conflict. Another team to do so many, many months ago was The One’s stable which at the time included a very new and inexperienced David Nicolls. How times have changed and how Nicolls is now imagined as one of WPW’s best. Old Friends fight in this match so watch the fireworks fly!
FLA #1 Contenders Match
Smike Vs. Brock Goodman
Brock Goodman has been floating as of late, like a log in the Mississippi river. After losing the Florida Title and the Brawl for it All, he has partnered with Justin Dreamer and been highly unsuccessful at that. Dreamer however has officially ended their partnership to concentrate on his God of Live title. Brock therefore is left with nothing. Until now! The only thing that has given him drive in 2008 is back on the cards for him. But Soemthign stands in his way, the enigmatic, charming wrestler known as Smike! Smike was a very, very successful Tag team with his Fiend David Nicolls but now, while the two are still great buddies it might be time for the dude to stretch his wings and fly on his own! Smike is Deadly and Brock can be deadlier, but can h bring it out this week?
Singles Match
Mike Adams v Dan Murph
This match is not one that has been boiling up for ages and ages - in fact, while Mike Adams and Dan Murph may never really have seen eye to eye on most things, they're still just two people, and while they had a match at last year's Redemption as a tag team, with a lone match afterwards, there isn't much in the way of animosity between the two. That said, they're the first two entrants into the four-man Sell Your Soul Cage Match, coming up at Redemption 2008. This match is a showing of the balance of power - nothing less from the two big men. Were this the 1990s, and were this the WWF, this would no doubt be described as a 'battle of the bulls'. Luckily, WPW actually hires talented workers - this isn't likely to be a Mark Henry - Vader 'torch passing' match. Hopefully. Will the Unstoppable One assert his dominance on the other competitors in the dreaded cage of weapons - or will the largest man in WPW, who seems intent on ridding WPW of all of its bullies, be able to put the brakes on? Either way, expect a competitive match.
Non-Title Main Event Match
Royalty (JMC and 2) v Karver, Inc (Mike Karver and Sal Karver)
In this nontitle match, the present Tag Team Champions, 'Masterful' Michael Karver and 'Spectacular' Salvador Karver, will be testing their mettle against the two most successful singles competitors in WPW at the moment, #1 Contender for the WPW Title, 2, and WPW Champion, James Moriarty Cassius. JMC and 2 have teamed up before - in fact, they've faced Karver, Inc before.. with the inclusion of Jesse Long, in a 2 on 3 handicap match! While Jesse was the one to lose the match for them, Karver, Inc have an uncomfortable precedent to fight. But the one final twist - when they last faced, JMC and 2 were purely friends, with common goals. Will the WPW Title stand between the presently most prominent members of The Royalty? Will Karver, Inc use their new-found momentum as tag team champions to pull what would no doubt be considered the upset victory? Can JMC and 2 continue their undefeated streak as a tag team? All these questions will be revealed - and no doubt, unanswered - in Iowa!
