WPW Thursday Night Turmoil
April 17th, 2008
Sacred Heart Hall
Bolivar, MO
Daniel: Welcome One and All To Thursday Night Turmoil, coming to you live from the lovely state of Montana..
Max: Or Bolivia.
Daniel (Ignoring)... And Waht a show we have for you! Tag Team Titles on The Line as Cameron and Gunnar do battle with The Karver Family. Should be great action Today.
Max: We also Have Mike Adams Taking on David Nicolls.
Daniel: Nicolls has been striving out on his own a lot lately, a win here would be a godsend! Especially over the Last WPW Title Contender.
Max: Speaking of contenders.
Daniel: Correct, Jeremiah Ranks and Sky Ryder will be colliding tonight too, if Ranks can get a Win here, he's off to a Hardcore Ttile shot!
Max: I didn't mean that!
Daniel: Oh you meant how our Current WPW Contender, 2, is facing Dan Murph this week as well? That should prove to be a hell of a match with explosions and death as these two throw their hearts at one another.
Max: I didn't mean that either.
Daniel: Then what did you mean?
Max: I was just going to point out that Blade LaVigne won the GoL contendership match last Tuesday. Thought it would be nice to mention.
Daniel: Oh.
Daniel: Ladies and gentlemen... let's get started with our first match!!!
The lights dim to a low light as 'Dust n Bones' by Guns n Roses goes out over the PA. After 13 seconds the song picks in up full throttle and The Peoples King steps through the curtains with his hands raised at his sides. He wears ring gear and a no-sleeve zip up hoody to match it. 'My Republic' is written on the back of the hoody and Dust has the hood up. Dust stops at the top of the ramp and looks out at the crowd with a smile. Dust pulls the hood down and taunts.
Mina: This match is scheduled for one fall... introducing first... weighing in at 230 pounds... hailing from Corrrrk, Ireland... the self-proclaimed "People's King...." DUST!
Daniel: Well here comes Dust, I really don't like the way this guy works, he's turned his back on all of these fans!
Max: So what, Daniel, possibly he feels the fans can give him nothing anymore, and he only needs himself!
Daniel: That... actually makes sense Max, since Dust had nothing to say about this match tonight.
Dust makes his way down to the ring, avoiding outstretched hands on his way and talking all the time. Dust slides in under the bottom and hits the nearest turnbuckle. He unzips the hoody, drops it to the outside and raises his hands at his sides again as the crowd boos him once again.
Daniel: Well... I might not like Dust, but I truly do NOT like his opponent...
Suddenly the lights go out, and two sentences are uttered in complete darkness...
Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
One single white light shines from the rafters, it focuses on The One standing in the entrance. Suddenly
the full version of "The hand that feeds" by Nine Inch Nails hits the speakers and he begins his walk down the aisle towards the ring, the crowd booing intensely and constantly.
Mina: And now making his way to the ring... weighing in tonight at 245 pounds... he hails from Saint Paul, Minnesota.... THEEEEEEEE ONNNNNNE!
Max: Well... here he is... The One!
Daniel: Don't sound so happy Max, it's not right. I despise this man... look what he did to Jesse Long last week! It was despicable!
The One stares right at Dust and enters the ring and does The God Like Pose on the first turnbuckle, staring straight at Dust still. He then walks towards the turnbuckle on the opposite side and looks towards the sky, as Ray Ramsey begins to check him.
Max: Despicable or not, The One comes here tonight to beat Dust, nothing more.
Daniel: You sure, Max? Maybe he came out here to betray another close friend?
Max: What is your problem, Daniel?
Daniel: I TOLD YOU, I HATE HIM!
Ray Ramsey has finished checking both The One and Dust, finding nothing of objection on either of them. He calls for the bell, and the two men begin to circle one another. They come together in a collar-elbow tieup, and fight for control. Dust slowly backs up The One into the corner, and Ramsey calls for the men to break the tieup. Dust slowly lets go, and he smirks at The One as he steps out. The smirk is quickly changed to a look of suprise, however, as The One rushed him and takes him down with a spear. The crowd pops with a chorus of boos at the blatant sneak attack by The One.
Daniel: COME ON NOW! Dust wasn't even PAYING ATTENTION!
Max: And that's why One took advantage!
The One starts throwing right after right into the People's King. Ray Ramsey starts to make One open his fists, but One is not listening. He throws in a few more punches, before getting up and yelling towards the crowd, who continues to boo loudly.
Daniel: He has NO respect for this crowd, he doesn't care for them! And after all the support they showed him, after all the times they cheered him! How despicable!
Max: That's true, but maybe he feels the fans can give him nothing anymore, and he only needs himself!
Daniel: YOU SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT DUST!
Max: It doesn’t matter if I did, I meant it both times.
Daniel: You are as bad as One, you know that?
As the referee is checking on Dust, who is clutching his head, One slides something off of his right hand, kiss it, and toss it aside. The crowd realizes exactly what has happened, and begins to boo madly, clearly in disgust to One’s underhanded tactics.
Daniel: MY GOD! Every single one of those punches by One had something a little extra behind them!
Max: Yeah, they all had the power of the One behind them!
Daniel: More like the One’s brass knuckles! He just threw them out of the ring, where the referee couldn’t see them! What a brazen, lowdown, cheap move by The One!
Max: Hey, what the ref doesn’t see, you can get away with, you should know that!
One lifts Dust to his feet, cockily taking his time as he does. Dust is visibly knocked out as One throws Dust’s arm over his shoulder, clutching him before tossing him over in a T-Bone Suplex!
Max: Solid move there by One, not giving Dust a chance to breathe at all!
One stands back to his feet once again, looking around at the booing crowd. He scoffs as he leans down to lift Dust up again, but pauses, having another idea in mind. Dust is lying helpless as One lifts his head up, clutching in a Dragon Sleeper. Dust immediately tries to fight out of the hold, but all it does is prompt the One to clinch the hold in even tighter. Soon, we see Dust losing his strength and falling quite limp. While Ray Ramsey begins to check for signs of movement and consciousness, One releases the hold, that sick smile still upon his face, prompting even louder boos from the crowd.
Daniel: This is just WRONG! Beat the man already, he’s already knocked out, for Chrissake!
One laughs as he looks at the prone, motionless body of Dust, leaning down to put Dust in some new type of move. It is easy to see, however, that this is the Anaconda Vice, and One relishes his blatant steal of Dust’s finishing submission.
Max: Well, as they have said before… this is an Anaconda Vice dedicated to Dust!
Daniel: Please ref, just stop the match, there is no reason for this attack!
The referee checks on Dust once again, and sees no movement, so he calls for the bell. One does not release the submission however, and the referee tries to physically separate the two.
Daniel: Someone get out here, and stop him! He has no right to do this, this is a travesty!
One finally lets go, and slides out of the ring to even more boos. A second referee has slid into the ring to check on Dust, and is visibly calling more staff from the back to stabilize his condition. Suddenly, a chair comes flying into the ring, and the two referees slide out of the ring in a hurry, not sure what is going on. One slides into the ring, the smirk still not leaving his face as he approaches Dust.
Daniel: STOP HIM! HE COULD KILL DUST HERE!
Max: As much as I hate to say it… SOMEONE SHOULD HELP HIM!
The crowd continues to boo as One picks Dust back up to a vertical base, and slowly lifts Dust up onto his shoulder, smirking as he positions himself over the chair.
Daniel: Turn back now, One! Don’t do it! Have some form of dignity!
One stands there above the chair, posing in the God… Like… Pose, before dropping down with a God… Like… Drop driving Dust’s head straight into the chair, the skull colliding sickly with the chair, the crowd instantly screaming as One stands again, laughing.
Daniel: NO! WHY, ONE, WHY?!?!
One turns to get out of the ring as medical personnel rush to the ring to check on Dust. As One gets on the apron, however, he pauses, and steps back into the ring, making all the staff try to verbally stop him. One doesn’t even hear them as he grabs Dust and sets him back up onto his shoulder, taunting once again for the God… Like… Drop. One laughs and looks to the sky as he drops a second time, Dust instantly crumpling upon impact. One stands above Dust, as medical staff check on him once again. This time they have to wipe away large amounts of blood, as Dust is bleeding profusely from his forehead.
Daniel: THAT’S ENOUGH! DUST MAY BE DEAD!
As if One knows this, he looks to the heavens before walking up the ramp, taunting Dust to get up as he walks behind the curtain.
The scene suddenly cuts back to the backstage area where Amy White catches a sneaking Tank. Tank rounds on her and we see small cuts across his body from the Big TV incident last week.
Amy: Tank.. How do you feel about Your loos for the chance to be God of Live?
Tank: How the hell do you think I feel?
Amy: Fine then.. Then how do you feel about Jeremiah Ranks gaining a Non-Title Hardcore Match that, if he wins, he will be the next Hardcore Contender?
Tank: Hardcore Right?
Amy: That’s right
Tank: Actually.. I Feel a lot better.
Tank walks away a lot happier then before.
Daniel: I don’t think I like how happy Tank was there!
Mina: The following contest is a non title, HARDCORRRRRRE match!!
"On The Outside" by Kill The Complex hits, and Ryder sprints out, the title around his waist. Ryder unsnaps the belt and raises it above his head. He waits for his newly bought pyros to go off, but nothing happens. Ryder looks towards the backstage area and screams "Come on already!" After a few seconds, Ryder shrugs and places the title on his right shoulder as he walks down the ramp. The crowd is loving Ryder as he greets them warmly, smacking hands of little kids. Ryder tosses the title into the ring and slinks underneath the bottom rope. Grabbing the title, Ryder gets up on the top rope and outstretches his arms in a crucifix poition, the right hand holding the Hardcore title, the left hand out, palms down.
Mina: First, from Dallas, Texas. Weighing in at two hundred and thirty pounds. He is the WPW HARRRRRRDCORRRE CHAMPPPPIIIIIONNNNNN...SKKKKYYYYY RYYYYDERRRRRR!!
The lights dim then begin to flashes blue and yellow over and over again. By Myself hits the speakers.
Mina: And his opponent, from New York City, New York. Weighing in at two hundred and sixty five pounds....JERIMIAHHHHH "THE SHOCKA" RANNNNNNKSSSS!!
The music continues to play as the lights still flash blue and yellow over and over again. But there is no sign of Jerimiah Ranks. Sky Ryder looks towards the referee, and even seems to ask him where his opponent is, the referee shrugs, and they both once again look towards the curtain where there is still nothing or no one.
Mina: JERIMIAHHHHH "THE SHOCKA" RANNNNNNKSSSS!!
Daniel: Where the hell is he?
Max: Maybe hes taking a nap?
Daniel: Taking a nap?
Max: Well you ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer!
Daniel: Or in your case, you ask any question, you get a stupid answer.
The lights come back on, as the music continues to play. The song has actually been playing so long now that its had to restart. Suddenly the curtain begins to move and there is a loud roar from all the WPW fans. Jerimiah Ranks comes through the curtain, with a referee on either side of him, helping him down towards the ring. He has one arm draped around the neck of each referee as the seem to almost drag him slowly down the ramp. Jerimiah has a large bandage wrapped around his head after the horrific events of last week when the oversized TV fell on his head. The scene cuts to the ring where Sky Ryder and the official in the ring are both looking on, seeming very concerned for the well fair of Ryder's opponent.
Daniel: Oh my god, how can this man be expected to compete tonight when he can't even get down to the ring by himself?
Max: And in a hardcore match too.
Daniel: Exactly! This is absolutely ridiculous. What did these two referee's do? Get Jerimiah out of the hospital just now so he could come here and fight?
The referee's continue to "assist" Ranks down to the ring. The crowd look absolutely shocked at the distant look in the eyes of Ranks, almost festus like, he doesn't seem to have any idea where he is, or what is going on. The referee-led Ranks finally gets towards the ring. One of the referee lets go for a moment to move into a position where the two referees can roll Ranks under the bottom rope. And after a bit of a struggle, thats what they do. The two referee's leap into the ring through the middle rope, and immediately attempt to get Ranks to his feet. They can't do it alone, and it takes the match official to help them get Ranks to his feet. Ranks is almost completely motionless. There's no way he can realisticly compete in this match. The match official makes sure that the two referee's are ok holding Ranks up, and then he moves away.
Daniel: This is absolutely ridiculous! Come on referee you have to stop this, theres no way Ranks can wrestle here tonight.
Max: I have to agree. Theres a part of me that would like to see Ranks get the complete snot beaten out of him here. But hes in no condition to fight, you need to cancel this match ref!!
The referee rings the bell for the match to start.
Suddenly there is a loud chorus of boos from the fans. Both the two referees and Ranks suddenly fall to the floor, and a large pair of boots fill up most of the scene. The camera looks up, to see Tank standing tall with a steel chair in his hands. Tank swiftly raises the chair above his head, and with a large roar brings it crashing down, full force onto the skull of Jerimiah Ranks. Who, if he wasn't out cold already, he is now. Tank nods, and then throws the chair out of the ring. Departing himself right after. The referee immediately gets down to check on Ranks, who isn't moving at all. The referee turns to talk to Ryder, who himself is standing in the ring looking at Ranks looking extremely concerned. The referee seems to be mouthing "pin him" to Sky Ryder. Sky Ryder mouths back "what?" The referee once again tells Sky Ryder to pin Ranks.
Daniel: Is he telling Sky Ryder to pin Ranks? Why don't you just call for the paramedics for god sake!!
Max: Has this referee taken up a managing role for Sky Ryder?
Daniel: Not to my knowledge Max, I think hes just an idiot.
Max: Ah, ok.
Sky Ryder, with a really confused look on his face, slowly gets down on his knees, and crawls over to Ranks. He also checks on him, before as carefully as he can, turning him over. And not looking too happy about the whole situation, making the pin on Ranks. The referee counts.
1.....
2.....
3!!!!
Mina grabs the mic, also seeming confused by this whole situation.
Mina: Here is your winner, the WPW Hardcore Champion, Sky Ryder?!?!
The paramedics begin to rush down the ramp towards the ring to check on Ranks as even his opponent Sky Ryder is still on his knees checking on him. We go to the break with the scene of Ranks lying unconcious in the ring.
The Camera then immediately cuts back to Amy White who meets Tank who is getting out fo the arena
Amy: Tank, you've just cost Jeremiah Ranks a shot at becoming the Hardcore champion...
Tank: Before you go any further,. I want everyone to know that I'm not turning on them. And I know a lot of Tank fans are also Ranks fans. So if you're really feeling genuinely conflicted as to whihc of us to like, I would vote for me. I am WPW through and Through, thicker than Blood and water. I was the one who he struck out at First, costing me the chance to be Florida State Champion. He was the one who pulled the TV down on us both. And it gave me a lot of pleasure to cost him this match. He wasn't goignt o win anyway, but jsut to know that WPW really is better than the Ghost of PCW Past. And I'll keep proving it, every time he comes right at me!
Tank moves past Amy, still with his fists tigthened to the size of baseball mits!
Daniel: Can it get any better than this, Max? Up next, it’s tag team title action. TNT’s top twosome tussle with the twin terrors of Martin Cameron and Gunner Brian.
Max: What a shame that it wasn’t Tyson Tomko and Terry Thomas. Never mind though. Could be good. Could be very good. Karver Inc may not have held these titles for long but they’ve got a ton of experience behind them. Have you seen the old PCW Dog Collar match that’s on YouTube this week? Masterful Michael Karver is beaten by a three month old puppy. That’s the sort of caliber of tag team champions we’ve got these days.
Daniel: PCW was a million years ago though. The Karvers have shown their strength and skills many times over since then, but tonight they face a very tough test indeed. Florida State Champion, Martin Cameron and the man with the impressive record Gunnar the Gunman Brian. Here’s Mina for the highlight of Max’s evening.
Max: Always a pleasure to watch Mina get in the ring. Reminds me to get some peaches for my bedtime smoothie.
Daniel: That’s disgusting on so many levels………….I think.
Mina: This next contest is to be decided by one fall or submission and is for the WPW Tag Team Title! First to come to the ring, the challengers weighing in at a combined weight of 460lbs, Martin Cameron and Gunnar Briannnnnnnn!!!!!!!
Cameron’s entrance music, ‘Broken Boy Soldiers’ by the Raconteurs hits and Cameron is picked out by a spotlight, his head bowed. The house lights come on as he extends his arms and the crowd duly responds.
Brian follows a few seconds later but the fans are still trying to attract Cameron’s attention for a handslap or a photo.
They get to the ring and Cameron climbs a turnbuckle to bring some more cheers. Brian takes his place at the corner.
Mina: Their opponents, weighing in at a combined weight of 410lbs, the current WPW tag team champions, representing Karver Inc, Salvador and Michael Karver!!!
Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir easily outpoints the Raconteurs and the Karvers emerge shoulder to shoulder, belts around their waists. The crowd reaction is on a par with that for their opponents but ramps up a little as Michael Karver hands out some $10 bills to front row Downs Syndrome kids.
Daniel: Karver is a stand up guy. He might be a millionaire but he still has time for the little people.
Max: They’re Mongols, Daniel, not dwarves.
Daniel: I think they prefer the term Downs Syndrome, Max.
Max: I think they prefer to have their asses wiped for them, but it ain’t gonna happen.
Daniel: …………..have you seen my statutory apology card Max? I had it here somewhere.
Ding Ding
The match starts just after Karver senior removes his robe which is snatched away by Salvador. Michael and Martin Cameron lock up in the centre of the ring and referee Todd Franklin calls ‘Fight’.
Karver takes Cameron down with a Hip Toss and keeps hold with a hastily app;ied wrist lock. Cameron rolls out of this and gets his own wrist lock on Karver but the experienced Karver kicks twice to effect a release and backs away shaking his arm to bring blood back to his hand.
Daniel: Some old school grappling there from the 43 year old Karver and the European trained Cameron.
Max: Oh, that’s what it was. I thought that they were trialing our new insomnia treatment ‘Watch ‘n’ Snooze’
Cameron grabs Karver again and tries to whip him into the ropes but Karver plants a foot and hauls Cameron towards him, felling him with a straight arm clothesline. Karver covers.
1…………………
But Cameron has a shoulder up long before Todd Franklin can reach a 2 count and Karver allows him to rise but grabs him in a headlock before landing a DDT. He tags in Salvador but goes back to stretch out Cameron’s arms. Sal goes to the top turnbuckle and lands a Moonsault. Michael Karver leaves the ring and Sal hooks Cameron’s leg for another cover.
1…………………..
2…………..Cameron kicks out quickly again and uses the rope to pull himself to his feet. Sal charges at him but Cameron drops a shoulder and uses Sal’s momentum to carry him over the top rope and out of the ring. Cameron follows up with a Flying Crossbody, using the rope as a springboard and Salvador sprawls on the outside.
Daniel: Sal the landed salmon at the moment. Cameron can’t win by pin on the outside but he just got the momentum back.
Max: My momentum is sending me to the sandwich bar. Foot long, Daniel?
Daniel: Well, I’ve never had any complaints.
Cameron is first to rise and realizes that Franklin is up to a 6 count so picks Salvador back up and starts to roll him back in the ring. Michael Karver comes round to aid his son but Cameron catches him with a Superkick and Michael staggers back into the stairs.
Cameron rolls in after Sal and covers….
1……………………
2………………..Sal gets a shoulder up.
Cameron decides he needs a rest and goes to his corner where he slaps Brian on the shoulder. Brian reacts to this by drawing back a punch but stops himself and slowly steps through the ropes.
Salvador is getting to his knees but Brian runs at him and fells him again with a high knee. Brian leans in to pull him to his feet but Sal is playing possum and grabs Brian’s head, whips him to the ground and applies a Dragon Sleeper.
Daniel: Spectacular Salvation! The younger Karver has learned at the feet of the master. He has sucked at the saggy wrestling teats of his father, Masterful Michael Karver. He has had the martial arts drilled into him from boyhood, probably roughly, and from behind, by one of the professionals. Oh, here’s Max back.
Max: (mouth full) Did I miss anything?
Daniel: Just most of the important bits of the last two years, Max.
Brian struggles to escape from the sleeper but eventually his conscious level drops and Todd Franklin goes through the ritual of lifting his arm.
It drops.
He lifts it a second time.
It drops again.
Martin Cameron enters the ring and tries to get to break up the hold but Michael Karver gets in his way with a shoulder block. Todd Franklin raises Brian’s hand for a third time but goes to break up Cameron and Michael Karver and misses the thumb to the eye that Brian inflicts on Salvador. Sal breaks the hold and Brian scrambles away. Sal grabs at Brian’s leg but Brian uses his free leg to kick him in the head and he uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Martin Cameron exits the ring just in time to tag himself back in when Brian gets close to the corner and Todd Franklin indicates that they should change places.
Sal Karver goes for a Double Leg Takedown on Cameron as he gets into the room, but Cameron stands his ground and Double Axe-handles Karver until he releases.
Karver goes back into the ropes for momentum and Crossbodies Cameron on the rebound but Cameron catches the lighter man and Samoan Drops him followed by an Elbow Drop.
He covers…..
1………………….
2………………..
Michael Karver comes in to break the cover with a kick to Cameron’s face and is pulled back by Todd Franklin.
Daniel: Look at Franklin’s face! He’s madder than a porcupine with a thumb tack in his foot!
Salvador Karver escapes and DDTs Cameron, still dazed by his father’s kick. Cameron is slow to get up but Sal taunts him and lands a running flying kick to the head as he gets to his feet. Cameron goes back against the turnbuckle in his own corner but Brian jumps down to avoid a collision.
Cameron staggers back but walks straight into a Once and for All running neckbreaker.
Cover.
1…………………..
2………………..
Cameron finds something from somewhere and gets a shoulder up. Sal hits him with 2 forearms but Cameron thrusts him away and shakily gets to his feet. Sal comes back at him aiming for another High Five Kick but Cameron sways back to avoid this and catches Sal with a Dirt in Your Fries (Cutter) from out of nowhere.
Cameron looks set to cover but is blindsided by a Gunslinger Shining Yakuza kick from…………Brian?
Daniel: Wait a minute! Brian is supposed to be on the same team as Cameron. I know they don’t swap girly text messages but that was ridiculous!
Max: Good kick though.
Brian lands a Raven Coloured Streak Cradle Piledriver then stands up, indicating to Salvador Karver that the cover is his. Sal shrugs, drops and covers.
1………………..
2………………..
3………………..Ding Ding
Mina: Your winners and still tag team champions of the wooooooooorld , Karver Inc!
The Karvers embrace and retrieve their belts from Todd Franklin then leave the ring to a good reception from the crowd.
Brian stays standing over Cameron as he comes to and smirks as Cameron staggers to his feet, barely aware of what all these people are doing in his dining room. Brian kicks him through the ropes and exits via the steps himself then makes his way backstage making open hand gestures to some of the crowd asking him to explain himself.
Daniel: Well, there’s explosive and there’s explosive but that was Shock and Awe times five. We’ll be right back.
The Scene cuts to an ambulance. Dust is being placed inside it on a stretcher, the audience sees the doors close and the audience scream away into the night.
“What I’ve Done” hits the speakers, and Mike Adams makes his way out to the ring
Mina: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first… Mike Adams!
Daniel: Adams set to go one on one with David Nicolls tonight
Max: Two guys who came up short at the Brawl get the chance to lay their hands on each other
Daniel: And possibly create some waves
“Heart’s On Fire” plays, and David Nicolls bursts from the back, charging down to the ring
Mina: And his opponent… David Nicolls!
As soon as Nicolls slides under the ropes, Mike Adams is all over him with stomps to the back.
Daniel: Adams not wasting any time taking it to David Nicolls
Max: Adams said that Nicolls gave him a reason to fight
Adams nails another stomp to the neck of Nicolls, and Nicolls moves to stand up. Adams throws his left arm forward to smash him in the chest with his forearm. Nicolls grabs hold of Mike Adams’s waist quickly as he steps in for another strike, and locks Adams in a front facelock. He then hooks his arm over his neck and lifts Adams up and over, sending him down crashing on the mat with a suplex.
Daniel: Nicolls taking it to the former number one contender
Max: Well, both of these guys know a good performance could land them in an ultimate match at Redemption
Daniel: That’s right, the Sell Your Soul match. Both of these men want to make an impact
Adams stands along with Nicolls after the suplex, and both men turn to face each other. Adams is caught under the eye by a right jab. Nicolls then throws his left arm forward to slam his forearm into Mike Adams’s chest before grabbing hold of his wrist and Irish whipping him across the ring. Mike Adams bounces off the ropes and Nicolls kicks Mike Adams in the thigh stopping him dead in his tracks. Nicolls then goes for a hammerlock but Mike Adams drives his elbow into Nicolls’ face breaking the attempted hold.
Daniel: Aggression shown there by Adams
Max: Now he’s got something to fight for. Plus, his shitty taste in music got called out
Mike Adams clenches his right hand in a fist and punches Nicolls across the face with it. Nicolls takes a step back at the blow, but preps himself so that when Mike Adams goes for a second punch he’s ready and counters by hitting Mike Adams first with a knife edge chop to the chest. Mike Adams stands stunned for a moment as Nicolls jumps into the air and lands a dropkick to the chest of Mike Adams, sending him to his back on the mat. Mike Adams gets to his feet relatively quickly but so does Nicolls as he turns his back to Mike Adams and grabs his head from behind, then connects with a snapmare takedown
Daniel: Nicolls showing some solid wrestling knowledge tonight
Max: That’s going to impress a lot of people, and hopefully get him a spot in the Sell Your Soul
Nicolls stomps Mike Adams in the chest, and sends another stomp to his abdomen. Nicolls moves to climb on Mike Adams’s chest but Mike Adams pushes him off violently and stands to nail Nicolls in the lip with a closed right fist. Nicolls throws a fist right back into the face of Mike Adams though, and follows it up by quickly dashing forward and hitting Adams right in the neck with a clothesline. Nicolls drops to a knee and applies the rear chin lock on Adams but Mike wiggles out. Mike Adams stands and Nicolls hits him with a second clothesline. Mike Adams hits the mat back first.
Daniel: Nicolls is now showing off his aggressive side
Max: It’s the metal music. Makes the kids angry
Nicolls jumps into the air to drop a leg to Adams’ neck, but Mike Adams rolls out of the way. Adams pulls Nicolls to his feet but Nicolls catches Adams in the jaw with a small uppercut. Mike Adams dashes forward after recovering from the blow but Nicolls turns his back to him and locks in Mike Adams in a side headlock. Mike Adams pushes Nicolls by the back into the ropes, and Nicolls turns as he hits the ropes to bounce off them with his back. Nicolls rushes an unprepared Mike Adams and nails him with a running head butt. Both men fall to the mat
Daniel: Both these men giving it everything they’ve got
Max: It’s all worth fighting for
Mike Adams begins to stand when Nicolls comes from behind and attempts a backslide, but Mike Adams slips out.
Daniel: More smart wrestling by Nicolls there
Max: But Adams knew enough to hurry free
Mike Adams turns and pulls Nicolls’ arms behind his back attempting a tiger suplex, but Nicolls pulls his arms free and in the process, spins Mike Adams around. Nicolls quickly drops to his back and rolls up Mike Adams from behind, moving his own body on top to add weight to the pin.

Daniel: Nicolls so close to a pin there
Max: Adams better be careful, the nu metal might fall to the real metal
Mike Adams gets to his feet and Nicolls strikes him with another head butt. Adams staggers back, and Nicolls takes advantage to hit him with another clothesline striking him to the ground. Nicolls stands and the instant he does so he leaps into the air and comes down onto Adams with an elbow drop to the chest.

Daniel: Adams is being picked apart here
Nicolls stands and grabs Mike Adams by the head. He pulls Mike Adams up from behind, his back facing the back of Mike Adams, and when he gets Adams to his feet, he falls back down to the mat, pulling Adams down in a vicious neck breaker. Nicolls pulls Mike Adams up from behind again, and this time he lifts him up straight into the air, simply drops Mike Adams back first into the mat in a back suplex. Nicolls stands and leans back into the ropes, and after the ropes snap him forward instead of running he simply jumps into the air and lands on Mike Adams in a splash. He stays on for the cover.
One…
Tw…Kickout.
Max: Nicolls has been pulling out all the stops here tonight
Daniel: He’s going straight for the pin fall every time
Nicolls grabs both of Mike Adams’s legs, then flips him over so that Mike Adams is on his stomach. Nicolls then sits on Mike Adams’s back and pulls back on the legs in a Boston Crab, but the ropes are right there and Mike Adams simply reaches out and grabs it.
Daniel: Not so smart for the man with the wrestling knowledge
Nicolls goes to the turnbuckle and kicks the post in frustration as Mike Adams gets to his feet. Nicolls then grabs Adams by his shoulder and sweeps his legs out from under him. Mike Adams rolls under the bottom rope as Nicolls tries to reach down to pull him up, and Mike Adams quickly reenters the ring through the ropes. Nicolls slams an elbow into Mike Adams’s temple, and then goes for a suplex but Mike Adams pushes Nicolls back. Nicolls rushes forward but Adams catches him with a quick knee to the stomach. Nicolls leans forward and Adams hooks his arms behind his back. Mike Adams then lifts Nicolls up by the arms, and flips him over half way in the air so that his back is facing the mat, and eventually crashing down into it as Mike Adams falls with the impact and sits down for the pin in a Tiger Bomb.

Max: What a move by Adams. I guess he really is taking this match seriously

Both men get to their feet, and Mike Adams charges Nicolls with a clothesline but Nicolls catches Mike Adams as he’s charging in, lifting him up while twisting at the same time and then driven hard into the mat with his weight on top in a powerslam. Nicolls lifts Mike Adams to his feet and Mike Adams is standing groggy. Nicolls runs to the ropes bouncing off it, then comes off of the ropes with a running knee lift. Mike Adams doesn’t fall, but takes the blow and is pushed back into the ropes. Adams comes off the ropes quickly and catches Nicolls from behind with an elbow to the back of the neck before he even has a chance to turn around.
Daniel: What a counter by Mike Adams
Mike Adams grabs Nicolls up from behind and lifts him up onto his shoulder. He then spins around and spins Nicolls dropping him into a powerbomb. Adams makes the cover

Thr… Kickout
Daniel: Adams has really turned it on here tonight, with an almost-Unstoppabomb
Max: He wants this win, because he can see the light at the end of the tunnel
Adams stands Nicolls up on his feet, preparing him for another suplex. Nicolls counters out of nowhere, spinning Adams around. When Adams stops, Nicolls grabs at Adams head for a cutter. Mike pushes Nicolls off as he jumps in the air. Nicolls lands, and Mike Adams instantly connects with the Annihilation. Adams makes the cover

Mina: Here is your winner… Mike Adams!
The Scene cuts to The One, he is looking right at the camera and his presence is reacted ot immediately by the audience who shower him with boos and their general dislike. The One Merely smiles.
One: Oh, if only I actually cared what you all think, then you might actually be hurting me. But, naturally since I don’t, your jeers and hate almost tickle my very soul. You’re all just a bunch of fucking Hypocrites so I honestly don’t care what you think. I only care what I think and what I do. And So Far, I’ve done everything I’ve ever wanted to do.
I’ve got another thing on my list now, another step in the road to show you all how wrong you all are. I have a match I want at Redemption, something to silence your pathetic and weak calls. I don’t want titles right now, I don’t want 2, I don’t even want to Sell My Soul, I did that a long time ago. I want one Man, one alone.. And next week, I am going to tell them who they are, in a rather unforgiving way.
Daniel: The One, as cryptic as ever.
Max: And He’s on the warpath against.. Someone.
Daniel: My Money’d be on JMC.
“Falls Apart” by Hurt begins to play and to a chorus of boos out comes Carlos Gonzales. Carlso seems ot not care and hit’s the ring
Daniel: Carlos Gonzales has booked himself specifically for this Pre-Main Event slot specifically for himself. And for every TNT until Redemption!
Max: Which is only like Four Weeks Away!
Daniel: Exactly. I think we might hear something about Redemption.
Carlos gets into the ring and already holds a microphone ready.
[COLOR=green]Carlos: How are we all enjoying ourselves? Boy, did you see that Tag Team Match? It sure was something. But lets cut the formalities. I’m here and I will be out here every week up to Redemption to tell you some of the details of that very special Pay-Per-View! And Speaking of the Tag Team belts, I am coming out here amongst you all to tell you my first fact that will relate to that Tag Team Match. The Tag Titles Will NOT be defended at Redemption!
Max: What?
Daniel: He said it! Our tag champs aren’t fighting at Redemption!
Carlos: But Don’t cry Karvers! You’ll still be fighting at the show. You’ll have to earn your spots though and I might even throw you in a few matches newxt week. You might even Get a Florida Shot.. Or even the Sell Your Soul Match itself!
Which brings me neatly to the Sell your Soul Match. My little invention that is going to turn WPW onto its own head. Four Men are going to compete in this match, but not any four men. The Competitors will be people I chose. People who have helped Make WPW exactly what it is today, an entertaining show and made me a rich man. And more importantly, these four people are the ones who will shake up WPW in the next twelve months so we can keep WPW interesting! So right now, in front of you all I am going to reveal TWO competitors for the Sell Your Soul Match! Two men who will be making the jump at the glass ceiling as we painfully refer to it as.
The First man had to be chosen after what he did almost two weeks ago. He was able to Take the WPW Champion within an inch of his life, and for the fist time all year, he laid the champion out cold after a match and though he didn’t win, it was merely the winds that stopped him. Therefore the first entrant into the Sell Your Soul match will be….
Mike Adams!
The Second man… Well you're aboutt o meet him now. He has fought for a world Title only once, in a gruelling Casket match and was the hot favourite to win the Brawl for it All.
Dan Murph.
So he'd better get to impressing in this match, or I might regret my decision to give him a chance! So let's get this match going...
Carlos passes his microphone to mina and leaves the ring, moving up and out fo the arena.
Daniel: Well there you have it, our first Glimpse at Redemption. No Tag Titles On the Line and Dan and Mike Guaranteed a chance to be in this historic event!
Max: I wonder what the Karvers'll do on this show!
Daniel: But no time for that, on with the Show!
Max: All right here we go with tonight's main event!
Daniel: Should be a great one here, we've got a man who was an odds on favorite in the Brawl, and the eventual winner of the Brawl.
Max: Not to mention that now he is the number one contender for the WPW....
"Apocolypse Please" blasts through the arena as James Cassius steps onto the stage in street clothes with the WPW Title around his waist.
Daniel: Speak of the devil.
Max: Daniel, don't speak about our champion in such a tone. I'm sure he is just here to provide some sparkling commentary.
Daniel: Yeah, it's never been like the Royalty to cause mid-match interference.
James walks down to the ring and walks around and ignores all the fans cursing him out and goes to sit down at the announce booth, and puts on some cans.
JMC: Greetings gentlemen.
Max gets out of his way to stand up and shake the hand of the champion as Daniel kind of ignores him.
Daniel: Do you want to switch spots so you two can cuddle during a rest hold?
JMC: Listen here Daniel, just because your partner can show a modicum of respect to one of the most dominant champions in this business doesn't mean you have to sit here and lambast him.
Max: Yeah! What he said!
Daniel: Do you even know what lambast means?
Max: Sure, that's how I cook my veal.
JMC puts his head in his hands and shakes his head.
JMC: I apologize Daniel, I had no idea what you were forced to deal with weekly.
"It's Not Over" blasts through the arena as Dan Murph steps out onto the stage and power walks down to the ring as the cheers rain down on the big Irish bastard.
Mina: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall! First from Waterford, Ireland this is Dan Murph!
Dan steps into the ring and stares a hole right into Cassius as Cassius is smirking back a bit and puts the WPW Title right on top of the announce table.
Daniel: Well champ, this man has had some rather intense comments made towards yourself.
JMC: The last bastion of a desperate man is cheap insults, Daniel. I'm sure the King will show exactly tonight why all of Dan Murph's insecurities are not delsuions, but rather fact.
Max: You guys use some big words, don't you?
The bell sounds as "Walking Through Barbed Wire" echoes through the arena as Dan's gaze on the champion is broken by 2 sprinting to the ring. Mina doesn't even get a chance to annoucne the number one contender as 2 slides into the ring and he and Dan immediately start trading blows back and forth.
Daniel: Well these two didn't waste any time did they?
JMC: The King never has a wasted motion in that ring Daniel.
Dan is getting the better of 2 in the fist fight. And Dan punches 2 back into the turnbuckle and delivers a quick knee strike, catching 2 off guard. Dan then goes to town giving 2 some heavy closed fists shots right to the head as the ref counts to four and eventually pulls Dan off of 2.
Max: Boy Dan sure seems fired up doesn't he?
JMC: I'm not exactly sure why. It's not like he has anything to really fight for in this match.
Daniel: What about pride, James? What about still trying to prove himself to the boys in the back and most of all to himself?
JMC: How many times do you have to try and prove yourself before you are merely considered a joke Daniel?
Dan charges at 2 in the corner, but 2 moves out of the way and Dan rams himself into the turnbuckle. 2 then starts kicking away at the legs of Dan trying to charlie horse the leg of the big Irish bastard.
Max: Vicious kicks right there by the King of the Royals.
Daniel: Indeed, let me ask you something Cassius...how does it feel knowing that you have to fight one of your best friends?
JMC: It pains me to know that 2 and I will have to do battle, but at the same time I feel great pride in knowing that the only worthy competitors to be in the main event of our grandest show of the year is myself and 2.
2 nails Dan with a dropkick sending him into the turnbuckle again. 2 then reaches down and lifts up the legs of Dan as Dan instinctively hooks the top rope with his arms. 2 then sends a kick straight up and nails the bread basket of Murph as he lets go and Dan falls to the mat.
Daniel: That seemed like it might have been a little low there.
Max: No it was perfectly legal, and definitely devastating.
Dan sits up and holds his ribs a little bit as 2 sneaks up behind Dan and runs at Dan, grabs his neck and nails a picture-perfect flip over neck breaker.
JMC: Shades of the late great Curt Hennig with that move, just shows you that 2 knows his sense of history.
2 goes over for a quick cover but Dan kicks out at two. 2 then lifts Dan to his feet slowly delivering a few quick muy thai kicks to the rising Dan Murph.
Daniel: I think this is a strategic mistake by 2 here. When you have a big man like Murph down you really should keep him down.
Max: Trust me, 2 knows what he's doing.
JMC: Actually I agree with Daniel, this is a bad error. Excuse me a moment.
JMC gets up from the announce booth and start screaming instructions at 2. 2 looks at James completely ignoring his instructions as the ref turns to James and tells him to sit back down. 2 also screams for James to sit down as Dan nails a low blow behind the ref's back. JMC's face turns to one of horror, as Dan grabs 2 in a waistlock and lifts him over his head.
Daniel: Whoa! What a backfire from the champion there!
Max: Dan cheated! Disqualify him ref!
Daniel: The ref didn't see it!
Dan puts a squeeze on the waist of 2, and shakes him around a bit like a rag doll. JMC is shrinkign back a bit watching his plan bow up in his face as the ref is asking 2 if he wants to quit. 2 is screaming obscenities at the ref, which we take to mean no. Dan then gets a little smirk on his face and stares at JMC as he drops to his knees cracking the back of 2 across his shoulder, as James looks to go into the ring but doesn't.
Daniel: Devastating backbreaker there by Dan, and all James can do is watch as his error caused this to happen.
Max: Even the greatest minds make mistakes every now and then.
Dan looks up at his shoulder at 2 and laughs again as Dan uses all of his brute strength to get back up to his feet while still holding 2 on his shoulder. JMC looks on in shock at the sheer power of Murph, as Murph then slams 2 down with a Dominator like powerslam. Murph goes for a cover!
1....................2.........................No! 2 barely gets his right shoulder up.
Max: Wow, when he is focused the power of Dan Murph can really be frightening.
Daniel: The way he just tossed 2 around right there was amazing. I'm sure 2 can't take much more of this.
Dan goes to lift up 2 again but 2 delivers a forearm strike to the shin of Dan. Dan goes to lift 2 again and this time 2 delivers a quick headbutt to the back of the knee. Dan turns around a little bit but just seems to be getting angry at 2. Dan goes to grab 2 again but 2 gets to his knees and delivers a muy thai strike right under the jaw of Murph rocking the big man a bit. 2 then uses his leverage for a quick double leg take down as 2 starts raining down elbow strikes across the knees of Dan Murph.
Max: Look at the King using every part of his body to strike at Murph.
Daniel: He's going to have to, if Murph is going to keep trying to use that raw power to punish the body of 2.
2 gets up to his feet and then starts kicking at the calves of Dan and then leaps into the air and delivers a double foot stomp to the gut of Dan. JMC looks rather relieved now as 2 seems to have things in hand. 2 lifts Dan to his feet slowly and starts going back to weakening the legs by kicking at the calves some more of Dan. 2 goes to Irish whip Dan into the ropes but Dan reverses the whip. JMC, with his back turned to the ring, stretches with his arms and goes to hook the leg of who he thinks is Murph, but ends up hooking the leg of his fellow Royal. 2 turns around and stares at JMC who is playing it up for the crowd. 2 looks furious as he turns around right into a big boot from Dan Murph. However, Murph seems to have landed gingerly a bit after hitting that big boot.
Daniel: Another miscue between the members of the Royalty!
Max: That may be, but it looks like the punishment is starting to take it's toll on Dan. I think he pulled something in his leg.
Daniel: Well 2 has been working over those tree trunks, and if you take ut the legs of Dan the power advantage is quickly neutralized.
JMC turns around to see 2 down on the mat and puts his hands over his head. Dan is trying to shake the feeling back into his leg as he is stalking 2. Dan is measuring 2, waiting for him to get up. Dan can't shake the feeling back into his legs so he positions himself behind 2, when 2 gets up as Dan locks in the Black Death.
Max: Oh no!
Daniel: The Black Death! Dan's version of the Cobra Clutch is locked in!
JMC looks on in fright as 2 is locked in tight into the Cobra Clutch. JMC hops on the apron as 2 is flailing around. Dan locks the hold in tighter as the ref is now trying to stop James from getting in the ring. But while the ref is tied up 2 is tapping on the arm of Dan. Dan wrenches in the hold tighter as 2 uses his wearwithall to stomp on the foot of Dan, releasing the hold ever so slightly.
Daniel: James just saved his numerical buddy from certain defeat!
Max: I told you these guys are on the same page!
2 then delivers a few strikes with his free arm to the ribs of Dan and then grabs Dan in a muy thai clinch breaking the Black Death as JMC hops off the apron. 2 then starts working over the legs and thighs of Dan once again with his knees. As Dan starts to feel each and every strike from 2, 2 gets Dan to the mat and rolls him over into a modified ankle lock! JMC grabs the microphone from Mina as Dan is locked up tight in the center of the ring with nowhere to go.
Daniel: It takes a high amount of ring awareness to keep a giant like Dan away from the ropes like that.
Max: See Daniel, this was academic from the beginning.
Daniel: Maybe you missed the part when 2 was tapping out to the Black Death.
James is standing at the edge of the ring staring at the now pain wrenched face of Dan Murph.
JMC: 2 Tap or not 2 Tap, Daniel, that is the question!
Dan finally can't take anymore of the pain as he taps out and the bell sounds. James grabs his belt and rolls into the ring.
JMC: Here is your winner, by submission, the King of Agony, 2!!!!
James raises the arm of 2 as he is all smiles but 2 is simply staring a hole through his Royal teammate.
Daniel: There is a bigger story here, James almost cost 2 the match several times here tonight.
Max: Simple lapses in judgment by our champion there Danny boy.
Daniel: Or maybe James wanted 2 to lose, just like he wants 2 to lose at Redemption.
Max: Stop starting rumors like that.
2 then stops gazing at James and then looks down at the title belt in his hand. James turns around to catch 2 staring at the title belt. 2 then looks back up into the eyes of James and smirks a bit. James' face is one of uncertainty, as he then looks back at his title belt.
Daniel: Wow...if looks could kill. We'll see you next week folks!

Tw…Kickout.

Daniel: Adams proving his strength of the bigger men
Max: What a move by Adams. I guess he really is taking this match seriously
Mike Adams has control of Nicolls now, and stomps a mudhole into his chest. Adams connects with several swift kicks, before jumping in the air for a leg drop. Adams makes the cover
One…
Two…
Thr…Kickout.
Daniel: Adams taking a play out of Nicolls playbook, going for the cover straight away
