Now I've been a Fitch fan for as long as I can remeber and a full supporter of a Welterweight title shot as he has gotten over looked time and time again dispite 8 stright wins in UFC. Now it was said by Joe Silva that Fitch is finaly next in line for the winner of GSP/Serra. Who here is for Fitch getting a shot and who is not. Plus if your for it when is the soonest you see it happening.

Personally I hope UFC 87 as I'll be at that show in Minneapolis and what better then seeing my boi Jon Fitch finally getting his time to shine.

I think its about time he got a shot. If I remember it right he hasnt lost a fight in 5 years or so?

However I think his last fight shows that maybe he might not be able to handle the title fight just yet. He hasnt spent enough fights fighting contenders, he floated under for so long that he didnt really touch the top ten guys.

But I am happy he is getting the shot and will definatly be ok with him winning the title against either guy (I will also be happy with GSP or Serra keeping the title honestly.)

6 years, hes last loss was on 12/13/2002. While yes he may not seem ready but I'm fully confident that if given the shot he can win. Hopefully against Serra rather then GSP obviously but as last year proved GSP is beatable. Serra I hope gets owned come Saturday and that doesn't give Fitch the advantage against GSP but Serra is one of the few fighters I will use the word hate toward...can not stand the man. Hopefully after he dies on the 19th he'll go away. Also Fitch and GSP have had heated words recently and that only makes the fight that much more enjoyable.

I am a full supporter of a guy with his kind of record getting shot at the title.

I love DA TERRA (see also my radio show). But I really think GSP is on top of the Welters right now. He DISMANTLED Hughes and pretty much forced Matty to retire (yeah I know fights on contract left and shit).

With that in mind I would LOVE to see a GSP/Fitch fight. Because if RUSH can beat Serra and Fitch back to back he would SHOOT up the lb-for-lb rankings and likley be 3 before ANDERSOOOOOOON and "fedor".
